This was is a one sided fixture. 11 goals in a game with Bayern Munich being the victor 9-2.

Real Madrid 3-1 VfB Stuttgart
Even though they lost, I must say that I’m impressed with VfB Stuttgart. I didn’t expect they would make things really difficult for Real Madrid.

AC Milan 1 -3 Liverpool
This was not expected to be an easy fixture. Liverpool beating AC Milan is something I didn’t see coming. The game ended differently from how it started. This makes amends for Liverpool losing to Nottingham Forest in the EPL.

Bayern broke the goalscoring record, but the biggest share in this belongs to Dinamo Zagreb, of course.

When Liverpool conceded early against AC Milan, I was quick to condemn them that they were not ready for this season's Champions League. I had to switch their match to that of Real Madrid verse Stuttgart which appears more interesting to me.

But within a short period of the time, the score line changed from 1 goal against Liverpool to 2 goals against AC Milan. Little did I know that Liverpool will go to the winning side while Real Madrid continue to struggle to even see a goal.

But Real Madrid's performance doesn't seem to be as good as expected. Because I think Real Madrid can feast on goals in today's match. But it looks like they have to fight very hard to win the match. Now all the ongoing matches are almost over because everything has entered extra minutes.

Real Madrid did not perform so well in the first half but the second half was totally different. They overshadowed Stuttgart and displayed exceptional skills in both the midfield and the attacking. Getting three goals in the second half is a proof that Real Madrid are indeed champions with it comes to the apex league and I find it very satisfying to see Mbappe on the score sheet. Although he is yet to fully realize his full potential, but he is making progress daily in terms of adapting to Real Madrid playing pattern. Stuttgart did very well tonight but they have to do better to win a team like Real Madrid.

Stuttgart did very well in that match despite they lost 3-1 against the home team Real Madrid at the Santiago bernabeu, I didn't expect such display from Stuttgart team despite not been familiar to the champions league dance if you see the stats of the match you will see that Stuttgart won the ball possession, has higher goal attempt they were just unlucky in that game Real Madrid committed the highest foul even had more yellow card than Stuttgart that is to tell you that Stuttgart really played fine tonight, for with the kind of players Real Madrid started with I thought Stuttgart will never handle the pressure but at the end Real Madrid still show that they are the Champions a goal from Kylie Mbappe gave Real Madrid a lead at the second half of the game.

Before the mat ch started I said that's an automatic victory due to the current form of Bayern Munich but I never expected to see these much goals. For Kane to score four goals, this is an opportunity for him to win the highest goal scorer if he can keep up to scoring more goals in future. Kompany has really improved Bayern Munich performance from the look of things. However, I know that their oppnent was a weak team and we would see how strong Bayern is when they face a big club.

Bayern Munich really went crazy in this match and they proved their dominance perfectly by scoring 9 goals in this match. This goal celebration cannot be separated from the good performance of the players and the poor performance of Dinamo Zagreb players, so here we can only say that there is a gap in the quality of players and game strategy between the two teams that is too big. Bayern immediately ran amok in the first match and this is proof that Kompany does not want to mess around in his first season because he still has to continue to prove and silence those who doubt him and in my opinion it is a very good thing.
The score is quite striking even though Dinamo Zagreb also actually tried enough not to make this kind of result but the big difference made Dinamo Zagreb unable to stop the dominance of Bayern.

For Madrid I am very happy with this result because slowly but surely now Madrid continues to try to improve itself to be better than before and today's victory is a burst of greater enthusiasm so that they can continue to be consistent in the competitions they run.

I really need to take a day off from football. Today's fixtures were something else, and it happens to be the first game. Real madrid almost left me in a state of shock this evening, after it seems like they were going to draw the game. The goals in these games were just too much. Well, congrats to all the teams that won, and best of luck to those that lost. From the look of things, betting on a clean sheet in all UCL games will be a massive risk to take, because I don't understand how a team that was leading 3nil, ended up finishing the game 9-2.

As for the Milan game, Liverpool were just too good for them. Liverpool dominated to a good extent from the little I watched, and all thanks to Konate and Van dijk for choosing to put that header to perfection tonight. I had initially thought that Juventus would keep a clean sheet, but they ended up conceding a goal. But the most important thing is that they got the point they needed. After following up with the UCl games and other competitions tonight, I don't think I will be placing a bet for tomorrow games. Today's fixtures were just too hot. It's great to have UCL back.

The biggest game is of course AC Milan Vs Liverpool. I have a feeling that despite being the favourite, Liverpool will not win it. After the bad start, Milan finally noted a decent game with a 4-0 win over Venezia last Saturday, while Liverpool tripped over Nottm Forest and lost 1-0 at home.

Damn, I'm really not good at predictions.
I haven't watched the game and can't find any decent highlights at the moment, but looking at the match stats, it was a walk in the park for Liverpool.
AC Milan scored an early one, but it didn't take long for the Reds to equalise and then take the lead.
Liverpool has almost 3 times more shots on goal and over 5 times more shots on target.
I guess Milan are not as good as I thought they are...

After Ac Milan scored their first goal, I was thinking they were going to lose the same way they lost to Nottingham Forest in their last Premier League match. I was just surprised when they conceded a goal within 3 minutes, but things changed, and Liverpool were able to secure three goals in the match, which gave them 3 points. Even as Liverpool lost to Nottingham Forest, I had the feeling that they were going to win their match against Ac Milan, I knew they wouldn’t want to fuck up in their first Champions League match, and at least they were able to get a win.

Juventus should be happy because it seems like their journey with their new coach, Thiago Motta, is going very well. Thiago Motta has proven that he has not only succeeded in bringing Juventus to good results in Serie A but now Juventus has also started the UCL very well with Thiago Motta. The next opponent Juventus will face in the UCL is Leipzig. And I think it will be a tougher fight. But I still believe Juventus will win the match again.

They are getting as much attention as they normally would be favourites in the champions league  because their performance has dropped in recent years but they are one of the best teams in Europe.



No goals from Real Madrid, Vinicius and Mbappe haven’t found the sync yet. They are still trying to understand their role in this new team. One would expect that a big player like Mbappe would find it easy to adapt to Real Madrid but that’s not the case. Ancelloti would find the best way to work with the trio upfront.

Mbappe and Vini are really off sync as you have also noticed. I was reviewing the highlights of some recent matches in the LA Liga, of which I noticed same issue you stated and I know either Ancelloti gets to field one and bench one or he would change their roles or positions in the team so as to ensure the balance they need.

A very interesting Champions League opener, because it presents so many big wins, Liverpool finally made Milan silent at home, Bayern Munich who did an extraordinary massacre saw their game very hungry for goals 9-2. Well, I always feel sorry for Harry Kane who always fails to get trophies in the teams he plays for. But for UCL I don't dare make predictions about them. Because I'm always surprised by the teams that make it to the final. Like last season Dortmund surprised everyone.
