Use a clean PC or laptop when you’re dealing with cryptocurrencies. A separate one is ideal if possible, do not visit any torrent or file sharing websites. Your private keys & or seed are for your eyes only. Common sense & concentration goes a long way to keeping your money safe. 

Safe, should always be out top priority in the market, it's not all about making profits but we should be able to make good stands and safety for our accumulated profits. This will really help us to stay agile and creating awareness towards our colleagues against these phishing links. When dealing with cryptocurrency, we should be very careful not to jeopardize our chances of not accumulating massive gains in the system.

I take warnings very seriously, and anything that comes from telegram, discord, or any other social media like X, I pay very close attention to it, as those areas are the best places where scammers operate.
 
Also, on the side of the email, I don't click on the email link if I don't know the sender. Even if I know the sender and I'm not expecting mail from him or her, I always avoid such links, as we need to be careful of intruders and impersonation too.

Another thing is that one should learn how to keep the gadget they use for their crypto savings away from the reach of others and the constant connection to the internet, as you never can predict which link you could mistakenly click on that can lead to wallet drain.

You're right scammers have been using this above mentioned platform to scam people this is why we need to be extremely careful when accesing those platform, however clicking a link that is been sent by unknown person is very risky. because you don't know his intention, most of this scammers has been using this link to hack Facebook account, this is why we need to be careful with those link so as to avoid being a victim to them.

Well that's basically a fact, not just telegram but it also happened very much on twitter. Scammers obviously wants wide audience, a projects who got a lot of attention is one of the tools of a scammer that they can use to scam people by imitating them and lure them into their objective which is scamming. This is why we can see constant reminder from projects and established platforms such as CEXs about the threat of scammers. Scamming industry is lucrative that's why we can see scammers everywhere especially on cryptospace so the best thing we can do is to repel them by using helpful tools that helps us into detecting them.

I'm personally using Defillama extension on my browser and it is really helpful to the fact that it can even detect phishing or fake websites.

We should also learn how to configure the settings on our social media and messaging channels like telegram, discord and twitter to unwanted people, in short scammers from sending messages to us or at least on our crypto social accounts.

To not click links willy nilly I guess? It's usually possible to see what the links' URL are if you copy the link itself, paste it into the URL bar but don't enter it yet. Just look it up and you'd see if it's the legit site of the exchange/project you're looking for. There might also be some sites that check the URLs validity for you but I don't really use them.

Also helps to double, triple check whatever the hell you're doing when you're using your login details for something. That's basically the only thing you can do to avoid Phishing. Always use software/extensions from the main website and avoid third-party ones like a plague. If they don't ask for your details then nice, you can use them. If they do, avoid them. If they're open source then you can probably trust them but if not, then just find an alternative or forget about it altogether.

     The only thing I do to keep my assets safe is that I put them in safe wallets, such as Trustwallet, Unstoppable, Klvr, Electrum, etc. And I know there are others that I haven't tried yet. It's also good according to what those who have been in the crypto space for a long time say—that we belong here.

     Then Hardware wallet, then I already ordered one from Amazon, and I'm just waiting for it to arrive because I know that the wallets we have are so different that we can say we really have 100% control over our assets.

In fact, I use it to scale projects. If a project has someone who is trying to impersonate any of the team members or even the project itself then the project is excelling. Because no one has the time to invest I something that isn’t working.

What you can do about it is to apply a setting that keeps new messages muted. I’m not sure how I was able to achieve that a long time ago but till today, it muted new messages unless it’s an existing one or you choose to unmute it.

Keeping your asset safe is as simple as not giving anyone your private key and most importantly! Not carelessly clicking on any link sent by a stranger, and not connecting your wallet unless you are 101% sure you’re at the right place.

I personally protect my assets by creating a personal wallet without connecting to a site or platform that tries to offer prizes or airdrops, because this way we can reduce malware and phishing on our personal wallet which contains our main assets.

Tbh I've learnt a lot from this thread, but I feel mor sensitization is meant to be done and I'll say it's cool that Bitget, binance, bybiy and some others are posting timely reminders.  Saw someone on X that lost $150k to a wallet hack quite painful..

I wanted to add something about fake links. It used to be easy to spot them with typosquatting, like "faacebook" instead of "facebook" or weird domain names like "metamask.cc." But now, scammers are getting sneaky with punycode or homoglyphs , those are tricks that make letters look the same but are actually different. like this  "coinbase.com" vs "ϲoiɴʙɑse.com" . It's not always obvious, so you really gotta watch out and don't click on anything from shady sources. Better safe than sorry!

Oh, and like others have said, it's smart to have a separate device that's squeaky clean and only for important stuff like banking or crypto. That way, you're less likely to get tricked by a bad link.

Yes, of course it is very important to maintain assets in cryoto, especially when participating in Ponzi-type projects. I suggest that you don't have to rush if there is an incoming message either via email. Telegram, and also other inboxes, are very vulnerable to phishing sites that trick us into stealing assets in crypto wallets, so be more careful every time there is a new offer as well as incoming messages.

its telegram, discord and twitter quite literally infested with scammer these days and what worse is that these scammer used some sophisticated method that could trick so many newbies, honestly preventive measure need to be implemented to some of the wallet that have capability to interact with the dapps.
just try joining some discord or telegram channel like as you said, the first second you're sending message to some project channel that are quite popular, you get dmed by scammer and its not just 1 message there are probably tens of message going through your DMs which is crazy.
as I've seen even when the moderator of such channel are trying hard to ban those scammer, they just seem to have unlimited ways to create new accounts which sole purpose only used for scamming its crazy.
the best way is just to never interact with whatever link those people that dmed us are sending, they are definitely just some random phishing site, never I see once a moderator dm ing the people first because its like common sense right now for moderator to not dm someone just for the sake of preventing being accused of scamming.
there's no real solution to this as of now.
as much as I want things to get better and there are solution to prevent scammers from scamming people, these scammer are akin to cheater in online game, there will be no end to this, our only action to prevent ourselves from falling into victim is just simply educate ourselves better.

This is very important for us to maintain in the crypto space considering that every price is very fluctuating as bitcoin is about to halve this year, many emails and messages are coming in without clarity so we can withdraw our assets. We need to be wary of sites or links that come in either via tele or private messages. Please pay attention again, don't click directly, it could be phishing.

Yeah it is better to use separate PC/laptop for crypto-related activities as far as possible especially for legal/trusted one and surf nothing else in that one. And for other stuff and if want to participate in airdrop, use another PC with new wallet. Private keys need to stored separately most preferably offline.

It's actually very easy to keep our assets safe, but we often look for the latest information, there are lots of links that we click, but in this case we have to be careful when visiting each site because there are so many sites targeting the assets we have, especially when Following the airdrop, of course we have to connect a wallet, so in this case we have to be very careful

Bitcoin has had its halving already. It’s been almost two months actually since it happened however you are right that scammers, as stupid as this sounds, would be even more vigilant and aggressive. It’s the bull run and they know that there is large amount of money in there. They just need to find those and take it. It’s saddening really. Try to store your assets in a hard wallet like trezor or use a separate computer specifically for storing your assets. Scammers have many ways and tricks to trick you. My friend was once fooled by the new pepenovax project, if I remember correctly. He heard about the meme coin in the community on social media and then he tried searching for it on Google. He found the link pepenovax.com and started connecting the wallet and then his assets were sucked by the website. I don't know about pepenovax is it true or scam but my friend lost about few dollars. Luckily he didn't use his main address and only used the address created for the new project.

You're absolutely right! The more popular a crypto project or exchange gets, the bigger a target it becomes for scammers. Phishing attempts, fake websites, and fraudulent emails are just a few ways they try to steal your hard-earned crypto. The recent Bitget articles warning about the "AggrTrade" extension are a prime example, it's crazy how these scammers create fake extensions to steal crypto. Binance also warns about malicious websites that tricks you into installing malware on your device. Honestly, that's why I'm super careful about what I click on and where I download extensions from. Losing my crypto to a scammer is a nightmare I can't afford.
It's great that exchanges are proactive,  not just for user protection, but also to maintain their reputation. Scammers like this can definitely damage an exchange's trust.
