Gambling push notifications is another issue I will want us to look into. There are so many gambling company today in the internet. But genuine and fake ones. Scammers have made it difficult for people to believe some of this gambling company online because I one or two way they have been scammed. Of course I am a victim of that. Even the genuine gambling company online today it's very hard for people to register and start gambling with the company because some of this fake gambling company that always use people information registered with them to penetrate into people's bank account. Please we should be careful with gambling push notifications online for some of this are not reliable.

After being registered on a few sites  that offer online  gambling I have experienced on my mobile the increasing number of push notifications from other services of gambling  field.  My mobile is not tight to those sites where I'm gambling but bounded with Gmail.

When you register to gambling platform or any other platforms especially if the platform is a membership type of platform, they have an opt to subscribe when you are in the process of sign up and some sites do not have this and there is a mandatory subscription to their newsletter.

You can opt to unsubscribe if you want to or if the platform do not have that option you can request to unsubscribe All subscription based emails coming from membership platform have unsubscribe button at the of email if you find them annoying you can unsubscribe.

I unsubscribe on many emails subscription that I have no interest to use or not active anymore, don't hit spam if there are unsubscribe button to avoid the newsletter from being flagged as spam.

By any chance do you setup sms verification security on one of your casino account. I experienced the same too after using sms verification on one of my gambling account. Are using an android device or iPhone? If you are using an iPhone, I'm not sure these notifications would be coming to your phone because if there is something iPhone take seriously, it's users data and personalization of information, the only thing I think you will see is email messages. However, if you are using android device, then there is high change Google has personalized your information and they are giving you notifications based on what you have done before.

To avoid all these uncertain risk, don't use your important emails to registered into casino, used a good email but it shouldn't be the one that contain sensitive information on your phone, there is high possibility of casinos sending you marketing emails which you may not even want to see in your inbox and you can't be frown at them because you probably accepted their terms and conditions to use your email for marketing during the registration.

If you do not want gambling push notification, disable it from the gambling app that is on your phone. Also check if there are apps on your phone that you do not install by yourself and delete them all.

Please we should be careful with gambling push notifications online for some of this are not reliable.

If you are using a good gambling site, that should not be a problem. If the gambling site that you have its app on your phone sends you message through push notification, you can just go to the gambling website to check what the notification is about. If you do not want such notification, delete the app.

Let me ask you a question, did you have any gambling site app on your device where you get the push notification? Secondly is that did you suspect any app on your device is doing it? Go through your apps and delete the unwanted ones.

First the email used to register on those gambling sites are logged on in your phone same as your laptop which definitely we are entangled to receive mail notifications from both devices.

If you feel inconveniences having those notifications on your phone but preferably on your laptop, then you willi have to either logout the email from your phone or better still... take  he settings steps as @Oshosondy has guided.

Yes, it happens from other gambling sites, it doesn't have to be same or affiliated gambling sites for it to happen that way. Just as the common ads that appears on our screen about a related subject, a product or service you  might have engaged with, google will just at will be sending ads about some other similar products and services.

Just that in the cases of op having those notifications prompt on his phone instead of the  laptop he uses for gambling  is because the Gmail address must have been created using that particular phone that's why the notification messages are directed to the phone not his laptop. All he can do is to deactivate it through settings in his phone.

For email it's very easy, you will just have to unsubscribe, top tier casinos will give you that option. But if you register on a like second tier casinos, you can still do that if you uses Gmail as your provider.

That's why I practice to create a new email account for casinos that I will register and not use my main account.

For SMS, it's the same, depending on your service provider and the phone model itself, you can block those numbers, not just for casinos or anything that relates to gambling but any number that you are not familiar with.

Yes that is the right solution op observation of such push notifications does not only occur in gambling site, it's as a result of this connection or usage of same email as many has explained here, another thing is when signing up or registering some site one need mute some notification if you don't want them before it occur, but why your seeing it on mobile device instead of laptop is email which setting can handle.

Looks like you are logged into the same gamil account on your chrome browser both on your mobile and laptop. They both are in sync and that is why you are getting push notifications on the mobile browser. Logout from the Gmail ID that you have used on the mobile browser and it should work fine or you can manually switch off these notifications from the browser. For that you can do a small Google search and you will find tutorial on how to proceed.

Yeah, I commonly use the same account on both devices but never login into it simultaneously on mobile and laptop. Still further,I had   never been synchronous login at gambling service and gmail account. All of these set me thinking of some intricate  traces remaining   on my laptop after ended gambling activity.

P.S. Thanks to all advice I have prohibited the push notifications on my Android. However Google's capability to follow my activity bends my mind.

Don't be too surprised about this, Google gets majority of their funds yearly from Ads, they are the biggest digital marketers and they will do anything somehow right, in order to get users data for this, we can reduce our dependency on their services which seems free but not and that's Degoogle

I gamble on my mobile devices but when I'm online since I registered using the same Gmail on my mobile and PC, I get same push notifications anytime there is one. The best thing to do is to switch off the notifications on the device you don't always want to receive such notifications. I do this most times and on some telegram casino where I play, I keep receiving instant notifications about new offers but then I just disable or mute the notifications and only visit when I want. 3^rd party cookies just stroked my mind. They may analyze my traffic and send data to interested parties which are bounded with Google. The latter may in turn share those data on mutually profitable basis (let's say via Google ads)  with   other gambling sites. Is such scheme possible?

We all should assume that, even if we take the measures to avoid tracking (disabling/deleting cookies, using different browsers/devices, VPN, etc.) chances are that our hobbies are still leaked to who knows what actors in the industry, so I would've thought just like you.

You have full control of what you want to receive and what and where you link your Gmail account, you can always disable this in your security setting it is better to avoid or decline a push notification in your browser for opt-in, and yes you can link your laptop to your Gmail account to secure your account better go here

Well, you probably may have agreed to some cookies for every notification relating to gambling to be sent to you. If that's not the case, then you might have mistakenly given off your email on another site for them to be able to send notifications to you.

Can disable them. Massive pain in the ass usually since google (or any machine in general) hide it in the deepest darkest dungeon of your phone, but you can disable them. As for push notifications, in general it's just a browser thing I'd say. And in most cases, which I assume the same as yours, you have your google account logged in to that browser so push notifications are enabled.

Afaik though they generally aren't enabled? You must've clicked a popup randomly by accident which enabled it or something. I've NEVER had any popups in my phone, gambling related or not. That, or I just already set up notifications to gtfo when I saw them once lol.

You just have to visit your browser settings and disable notifications.
This are the steps to disable push notifications from your smartphone on any browser.
Step 1.
Click on the three dots at the top right corner on your chrome browser.


Step 2.
Click on settings.


Step 3.
Click on sites setting.


Step 4.
Click on notifications


Step 5.
Then turn off site notifications.

When you click on turn off notifications, you might also want to select the sites you would like to receive notification from, but when you turn it off, you won't receive any messages from any site until you turn it back on.

As long as you're using same email address on both your  PC and mobile device, your activities tend to be monitored to a very large extent. There ar cases when I just access a gambling site in my chrome and then when I go back to my Facebook wall, I see lots of ads bringing other gambling site to my wall. It's a combination of what an algorithm does and the fact that most of your account are linked in some way.

This is very true. I think there is some sort of algorithm that Google might be making use of, which is not just the Gmail connection to our both devices; if not how, will they detect which site and which site the person visits more often and be given out ads on Facebook without you even suggesting it?

It is likely this is the case, if you gamble on the Chrome browser while you are logged in, then Google can push notifications on your smartphone even if you have never gambled on that device, now you could turn off those notifications, however this is how people that are on the recovering stage of their addiction get to struggle to remain clean, as those notifications may serve the function of a trigger and those people may gamble again when they are reminded they have not done so for a while, which is why anyone that likes to gamble should always do so from a device and accounts that are not connected in any way to their everyday life.

The best way to protect yourself is to use alternative emails when signing up at websites on the internet. Don't use your personal email in these cases. Keep your personal email only for trustworthy essential websites, services, friends, family, job and real life contacts. Avoid all the rest.

I know what I'm talking about, because I used to commit this mistake since a long ago in this crypto environment, so I still receive a lot of garbage emails in a daily basis, including those ones stating they have very intimate and shameful records of mine and that if I don't give the sender some Bitcoins, I'm going to be exposed.
