With What is the minimum post require to earn a merit

1 post is enough if it deserves for merits. But that post must have good quality and useful for others. However, merits can be quite subjective, each member may view your post in a different perception. Even if you assume you have made quality posts, other may assume the posts as average posts. I think you just need to make harder efforts and analyze how other posts can get merits.

So far and from my understanding no minimal and maximal post required to earn merits -snip-

There should be a minimal. If you have no post, how people can give you merits? 1 post is the minimal.  
But it is true that we have no maximum posts to be merited.

Congratulations OP that you have earned 2 merits after making this post but if you want to earn more merits then you should try your best to make good and valuable posts.

Those members who make good and informative posts get merits and in order to get merits you don't need to make 1000 posts but a single post with good information.

Those who make good posts and are regular members of the forum often get more merits than the ones who aren't active or who aren't ready to make good posts.

The only criteria to get merits is to make good and useful posts and when you meet that criteria then you'll see the merits coming to you.

The only criteria to get merits is to make good and useful posts and when you meet that criteria then you'll see the merits coming to you.

Don't focus on the quantity of your post but prioritize more on your post quality. When I say quality post, that means it should not be off-topic but should always be on point and straight forward. It needs not to be lengthy but a short yet precise post will do.

And most importantly, your post should be of high relevance to the forum or to the majority of the forum members, otherwise your post will only be ignored and members will skip reading it. Just one post is enough, as long as it creates a higher impact on part of your readers.

There is no fixed number of posts for getting merit. You can get multiple merits in 1 post. In that case the post must be useful and informative. Try to share the knowledge you have and benefit others with your knowledge, only then will you be eligible for merit. Ask questions and study more on the subjects you are not good at. If you don't get even one merit then your posts are low quality and useless.

Firstly I can see you are new to the system and am saying welcome to Bitcointalk forum, earning merits doesn't necessarily required post count or your quantity of posts but rather a single post can have multiples of merits. However, the logic is that any post can only get merit or merits from another user that have an sMerit after which he or she decided to merit your post based on how much informative, educative, or contribution your post mean to him or her, I will advise that you should be observant enough to do what those that seems to be earning merits are doing by doing it rightly, surprisingly merits will keep coming, the truth is that everyone you see with tons of merits started one day just like you, so don't be discouraged keep pushing hard and growing a thicker skin as you navigates the forum.

The system does not have a minimum or maximum post before merit is given, merit is given to you by who sees the importance in your post or see your post merit deserving before meriting. You might make a single 1 line post with a serious information and will be Given alot of merit for it. Sometimes you don't need to wright a whole lot of post to receive merit, but it dipends on the quality of the post.

Merit should only be awarded to quality posts that should be highlighted that's how they're meant to be shared and to a large extent, it's being done that way. Sometimes you can see posts that you might consider to be low quality being awarded merits but they aren't of a large quantity since others have their different reason why they merit a reply and merit is a subjective matter that people are allowed to interpret as they see fit so you can't actually question a merited post unless there is a clear evidence of abuse going on. You don't get merited base on the number of post you have written but I won't want to go further since justice should have already been done to this part of the question by other users.

I noticed you received 2 merits on this topic (congratulations) but this shouldn't give you the wrong Idea that this is how merits are being earned. If you want to receive a larger quantity, you have to make yourself useful to the forum and earning merits won't become an issue for you. Take your take to always make sure your contributions on the forum are that of quality and not just because you're looking for activities or meeting up post quota. Earning of merit is simple when you're not doing it for the merit but to help out others through answering their questions or educating them on the topic being discussed.

Well said, to add up to this, a person that is reading a post and feels a touch of something insightful or impactful will want to merit such post provided that he have smerits to give or is a merit source, quality post is not what some people think about it as from their own way of reasoning, a poster should not judge for his post being a quality one except when another person come across it and see some taught in it.

Seems like you're just out to earn merit in the slightest possible means, without wanting to impact the community for it or learn either way. Why are you always asking questions about merit all the time? It's obvious that you've known exactly what to do to gain  'em but you just wanna keep asking questions as a way to get merited, maybe for your curiosity or something? An appreciation for the OP, hopefully it will make him more enthusiastic in making quality posts. Because with that, there will be more opportunities to get merit, yes, it's like a bonus for what you've done.

However, sometimes there are no specific benchmarks for how a post can get merit. It also means something different for each person who gives the merit. It's just that, if the post is really good and reserved for the merits, there will be more opportunities for that.

Oh yes, several threads on this forum also provide threads for memes to submit several posts to be reviewed and then proposed to get merit.

Both of those threads can be helpful for the members to gain merits if they're making good posts but as fa as I remember, Fillppone's thread is a huge one and if someone posts his/her merit worthy posts/threads at that thread then it can take from 1-4 months to get any merits.

There used to be a great offer by The Sceptical Chymist for reviewing good posts/thread but now he's finally ended that great offer. You may also try to look at the thread of NotATether where members can get some merits if they can run a Bitcoin node for 14 days.

Just as act mentioned in the first comment, 1 posts is enough to gain merits, if the post is worth meriting and also you may make 20 posts and not received a single merit, what make posts meritable is the content of the post, and not the number of posts, I still remember when I make my first post that generated me alot of merits in the early days of my forum journey, from that single posts I earned close to 15 merits so that show that the posts gained alot of views and attention to have generated such public interest.


So before you make that post, always make sure to include all the necessary content to make it worth reading and useful too.

Make informative posts.
Join discussion with a constructive mind.
Try to contribute for the betterment of this forum and it's users.
Avoid spams like hi/hlw/very good post etc useless posts.
Be a regular user.

And you are good to go, as simple as that. Another thing don't post with the mindset to earn merits. If you deserve it, you'll earn some eventually, like you did in this post.

You asked a really good question, it's good to ask to seek knowledge so you won't make mistakes, most Newbies would be wondering why they don't get merits, and if there's a required number of posts to be merited, I thought about that as well when I earlier came into the forum, but no there's no required number of posts for one to be merited.
 
 The major requirement for getting merited is creating good and quality posts, when you create good post, by teaching, giving good replies to a post or even questions whereby other members could learn from, maybe anyone who have Smerits and is pleased with your post or a merit source could merit your good quality post.

 Also if you check the beginners board, there's a thread by @fillippone where people could share their best post to be merit assessed, there's another thread by @hugeblack where you could share your best local board post and get merited, I think there's another one by @NotATether in same beginners board where you could run a node for 14days and get merited. But you should know that before you share your post in those threads they should have quality and also follow their instructions so as not to receive negative tag.

But in the same thoughts it was said that newbies read before posting and all about merits and ranking if the rules and guidelines were followed promptly this question would not be coming up again, what she  asked is a very good questions but if you know very well it was told that there shouldn't be repeated questions or post concerning a particular thing.

I'm also new here ,And I think it's not just about focusing on merit's but rather how you'll air out your own contribution to the forum by replying to a post or making quality Post as well that guarantee's that.

There is no minimum post in earning a merit what you just need to gain a merit is your quality post make a very constructive post that will make sense to others when they read it. Maybe you may have posted couple of times and haven't had a merit in them but don't give up just keep trying ok.

Undoubtedly, you will also get merit if you post quality posts. Is Merit to Chand for giving merit to quality and good posts? They always look for good posts. Qualify them if they see good posts. And here, if you can express your talent, a Person will be created only.

Well it seems you didn’t go through the pinned messages on each board else you would have sighted things and writings about ranks and merits but nevertheless I don’t think your post quality is an issue because you’re actually doing well as a newbie and which I’m sure you’ll do better as you grow in the forum.

Merit doesn't come with the number of post we make only one post can make you earn merit depending on how quality and lengthy your post is that's what matters, if you're making a quality post definitely you're going to earn merit. there are some users who made about 3hundred post but no single merit was given to them, reason is because their post lack too many things.

One thing about merit is that if you're curious of getting merit probably you won't get it anytime soon, it will definitely come when you don't even expect it. so you don't have to be worried about getting marrit, it will definitely come unexpectedly you just need to exercise patient and keep making your post to look more quality and also by giving the best opinion.

Not everyone will do everything to earn merit, some will do that but some will not.

There are people in the wall observer street thread that don't really care about merit but they keep posting so it's not the merit system that keeps people attach but what they pose to get from the forum. if you are getting the best information that is giving a good income you wouldn't think of merit in this forum but it's just a system that is more reliable to put people in their places and help reduce scam too.

To op just try and make a good post and see if how many is required to give someone merit
