Do this to avoid killing your motivation as a newbie

As a newbie here on bitcointalk, there is need to apply all cautions to protect your motivations because if you lose your motivation you lose focus and forum will become boring for you at a point so to avoid getting to that worst stage of your forum journey you need to have a few things at the back of your mind.


1: don't think that other forum members don't like you simply because of the approach and responds to your contributions, you need to develop a thick skin and also learn the hard way to become hard yourself.


2: avoid getting into discussions you know nothing about, it better you read others comments instead of writing low quality comments that could attract unfair response to your comments because that also will born out your interest.


3: don't invest in any projects or offers that seems too good and high profits, no free lunch any where not even in free town.


4: respect others and be polite to all forum members high rank and newbie's inclusive.


5: avoid getting involved in forum politics and never take side for any reason, if you must comments on such threads, you have to do so with discretion and stand only for the truth.


Alot more ways that I personally think can help a newbie to remain motivated and free here in the forum.

Generally, this forum is fun because it comprises of different people with different mindset. You will see friends in this forum, there are also bitter people, there are trolls and they can never get tired of attacking you and there are people that can whole heartedly help you in any way they can, very honest people to be sincere and there also scammers. This forum is a complete package of everything you think you can see outside when you go to a gathering, it all exists here.

When it comes to business minded, this is where Bitcoin money started and there is still old money in this forum. By old crypto.momey, I mean people that that invested in Bitcoin when the price was very low and still hold it on there wallet. New and old companies still stays here and more are coming everyday to have their community with Bitcointalk, this is why I said this forum is a complete package of anything you want to see in this forum.

I want to talk this number 1 point because it really affected me growing up as a newbie in this forum but paying attention to the informations that is shared here really helped me a lot, being criticized by other forum users is not meant to bring down motivation to a newbie who understands that it is best to look out for the positive impact of any criticism rather than allowing it to affect them negatively by killing their motivation as a newbie, learn from every criticism and correct there mistakes and improve by growing a thicker skin, it is not easy growing up as a newbie but one thing that is very certain is that we keep learning everyday.

This advice is also good but I see it more not to pertain to this forum in my opinion. But I want to ask a question which could be the reason you included it if your answer is yes. Do you think newbie success in investment can also help them to stay active on this forum is they are having profit in it? As for what I think, I guess it is no. But the advice is also good.

Yup seems like this tip is for the newbie investors not for the forum members, and for sure the advice is worth it to be followed. Mostly newbies like to explore the forum and the important tip to be added here are don't worry about merits and getting ranked up faster, as long as you are not a shit poster and quite active in the local board and other sections with the natural discussions you'll rank up for sure.

Hamza2424, you are right the forum is such a community of firendly people that adopt and adapt to new members most especially those newbies with potential, they will not struggle to rank up because as long as their keep contributing positively to the forum, merits for Rankin up won't be a big deal for that at at some point it makes a lot of sense to keep being true and staying focused at all time as a newbie here in the Forum.


Lastly when it comes to investment as a newbies, there is the need to look out for less risky asset such as Bitcoin, because that way you have enough time and chances to build your knowledge along your investments.

This forum is complex for those set of people that have failed to read the terms and conditions attached to the forum. Newbies needs all the positive mindset that would persuade them to keep pushing for brilliant results. It'd never easy but the best results comes from consistency and discipline. I've come in contact with several category of forum newbies that have taken it upon themselves to deliver their very best contributions to the forum thereby boosting their confidence and good work.

Real facts, there's absolutely no free lunch anywhere and not even in Freetown. We should take our time to examined the market and basically know the reasons for our rise and fall in the crypto world. Projects are everywhere in the space, this is one of the reasons to be extremely careful in the space. It's very challenging for the top investors because they're at risk when it comes to settling for projects.

Thank you mate for acknowledging the work I really want newbies to get things right and at the right time this is because this forum is a place that is filled with loads of opportunities, and anyone who can devote the time to read through the forum rules and also read posts and comments with reference link that keep them verified information, this helps newbies alot, because by so doing they will avoid alot crisis that could come along the way.


But paying attention to details and advice most times help helps the wise one because it not every discussion you jump on and also not every projects that you get into in the cryptocurrency space, I wish most newbies get to read this before they commit any mistakes because some mistakes and quite expensive.

I always give the same piece of advice and, although it is not suitable for all newbies, I think that not only a great percentage could benefit from it, but it would be also good for the "forum's ecosystem". I mean: if you are not a native English speaker you should definitely participate in your Local board.

As far as my experience goes, Local boards are more newbie friendly than the international board, and you will be able to speak more fluently in your own language about an already technically complicated subject. In addition, some local boards are on the verge of inactivity, so if newbies who don't know how to be useful were active in them it would be positive for the simple fact of participating, even in off-topic, regardless of your prior knowledge.

Finally -and although it shouldn't be the main motivation, I'm aware that it can help, some merit sources are focused on local boards, so chances are that newbies who are active there get more merits than anywhere else in the forum with the little knowledge they start with.

If you are joining the forum, then you should be ready for criticism. You are going to be criticized, and I will say it’s part of learning. If you are being attacked, you don’t have to feel bad. All you are supposed to do is learn from your mistakes. We are all here to learn, and I will tell you that everyone here doesn’t know everything, so don’t be surprised that you will see even high rank members being attacked.

Why do you have to even involve yourself in discussions that you have no knowledge about? There are lots of posts on the forum, so if you have no knowledge about a particular one, there are other ones that you will be able to make contributions to, and if you don’t have anything to say, then don’t just post.

When I am posting, I don’t even check the rank of the person I am replying to, I do post freely, and I respect everyone, whether you are a high rank or a low rank. I also make sure I take everyone’s observation seriously, irrespective of their rank.

We never had issues with any newbies and I have even called out on the tenured users of this forum to be more polite towards newbie but the only humble request I have with newbie in addition to the list of pointers is please do not indulge into shill marketing or marketing scam projects.

Bravo, as a newbie we have to be humble, truthful, honest, understandable, and generous and also follow the footsteps of our high ranked members, weather you are newbie or legendary as long as you are a member of this forum we are family, we are here to guide one another to achieve a common goal, so what is the big deal if we are being polite with one another, by the way thanks for the wonderful advice.

People should not see this forum as a place where some are being restricted of some certain right of expression on how they can contribute, its nothing bad if we are having enough information about something and we take it up in bringing it here to enlighten other members regardless of our rank, but many are not found in this category, instead they engage on something that will make them portrait another image of themself to others through what they post instead of them learning to acquire more.

It is not against the rules of this forum for someone to post a certain information to enlighten others as long as it is not junk posts, anyone can contribute on this forum for us to aquire more knowledge, I believe that many of us have learnt a lot on this forum with the help of our fellow members.
