When do we think alt season will be?

Been in this crypto game over 2 years now and I am 100% in altcoins currently and patiently waiting for alt season.

My portfolio is currently +80% overall after this mini crash we have seen in the last few days and I had hoped to have seen more of a return by now.

I have seen some say there will not be an alt season this bull run, some say it wont be till next year and some say it usually comes around 3 months after the Bitcoin halving which would put it around August.

I am hoping we only have a few more months to wait now as my patience is being tested, how is everyone else feeling?

Weather altcoin season or not it is certain that not all the altcoin will keep rising because even most of the seasons  people claim to be altcoin season, not all the altcoin was able to rise, so even if these season will be a bull season all the altcoin may not really follow the trend, so I think the question will be that what kind of altcoin are you holding because not all the altcoin have the potential to rise, so to expect any good move when the time comes is only if you have the one that has good quality.

Yea, I agree with what you said, pump is not meant for all altcoin but the problem is how to identify the one that won't pump during what they called altcoin season, in real sense is there anything like altcoin season? I think what people refer to altcoin season is during the uptrend of Bitcoin which is the bullish season, altcoin price does not rise on their own without the help of Bitcoin, Bitcoin is the major reason for the appreciation in the price of altcoins, the thing is that Bitcoin price shift is coordinated and a bit slow because of the future potentiality of the coin but altcoins pump is bit higher during bullrun because of their inability to maintain their market value independently and the uncertain future thats is accompanied with them, I think it is almost impossible for one to know the actual altcoin that has a good future that's why majority of digital currency investors are hodling bitcoin with altcoin as an alternative, for me I believe that altcoin season will come as Bitcoin continue going bullish.

Alt season will be the same way it has always been, I don’t know why you should be in altcoin 100%, don’t you just think the risk is too high? It’s just better you leave higher percentage of your coin in bitcoin, then you can leave the rest in altcoin investments. I have confidence in bitcoin more than any other coin, and we will see bitcoin bull run, before altcoins will start following it. So I will recommend you have some bitcoin in your wallet, don’t depend on altcoins completely, because you might end up being disappointed, they might not meet your expectations.

What altcoin have given people in profit is hudge and it will take a longer time to get that when you invest in bitcoin because having 50k is a lot to invest and if that amount is invested in altcoin their is a possibility that you might get more than that in return, than when you don't have enough money to invest in bitcoin. We know going 100% altcoin is dangerous but even when you want to do altcoin you have to check their total market cap and other valuable information to be able to know before you job into buying. Your research and your result should be what you will use to determine wether you should buy or not but people don't understand that anymore they just want to buy and make 100x without proper consultation, and we know that bitcoins is the king but doing altcoin is also not that deep, since all that is important is to make money. Their are people that all their concentration is all focused on making money.

No one can predict the exact future of altcoins but you have to wait at least this year to see pump in altcoins.

You disagree with this opinion because your portfolio is all altcoins, with no percentage devoted to bitcoin. Honestly, this will put you at a huge risk but if you know what you are doing then I wish you good luck with your choice.

I don't think altcoins have a season for a bull run; every day is a bull run for altcoins some new projects. Or have you not been hearing or seen in the news that one altcoin does 10x or 100x? But the truth about them is that many of them are building in the cryptocurrency industry to scam people. Almost all altcoins and these memecoins that you are seen are pump and dump and it just for sometime. So just know that if you are investing in altcoins or memecoins, someone is just gambling. And one thing about altcoins is that, as you see some of their prices down, the price will never come up again.So, if you are trying to invest in altcoins, you have to be very careful, as there is no assurance that someone will make a profit from it like the assurance Bitcoin gets after each halving.

Do you even think about the risk involved in investing in altcoins? I know if you are lucky, you will be making a good amount of money if you invest in altcoins, but we should also think about the risk involved. Anything can happen to any altcoin that you Invest in at any moment, and everything will be gone. We saw what happened to some strong altcoins a few years ago, so investing in altcoins won’t just give you peace of mind compared to when your money is in bitcoin, if you can hold your bitcoin for a long time, then you will be able to make the profit that you will make when you invest in altcoins.

Sol is a perfect example, i was using that to measure general trust for alts as well. And if you want to start to count the alcoin season start from the time accumulation really started, it was from the start of 2023, so there has been time.

Other good charts that are reflecting hope and altcoinseason are TVL chart of all altcoins:



And total altcoin marketcap with bitcoin excluded. Imho it's telling because all the scams out there are natural part of the season.



And while i am not really trusting that there could be any kind of decent TA that could be predicting the future, i trust that chart reflects on the mood of the market and it often rhymes with the past, so just for fun, here's my bullish raw idea for SOL.

Rumors here and there and all of the speeches that affects the market in favor and not in favor of it. Really depends on how these candidates specially Trump on what he thinks about Bitcoin. As if he really knows a lot of it but I think that it's just a bluff and part of the script that he has memorized. So, his campaign manager and speech writer are great people and knows what the people's like to hear. But if we'll based everything about the market cycle, this year is just going to pass and maybe end of the year we'd see some movement way above today. As a sign of it, altcoin season typical comes in after Bitcoin reaches its peak.

Well you might be right in a way, Trump might be bluffing and his speech might just be mere stories or fake promises to crypto users, I don't trust these politicians though but if it happens that he really meant every word he's said and he's ready to back the crypto community at large if he probably wins then we should be expecting a massive pump in crypto currency and I think it would be good news for every crypto investor. Currently, the price of Bitcoin is going down and Alts are going down with it, this is an opportunity for every investor to buy, hold and get prepared for the next bull season, it's going to be massive as speculated, but then no one know the specific date for the next pump in Alts all I see are just speculations however it would be wise to be fully prepared before it happens to avoid missing out and now is the right time to do that.

But anyway now Market has taken a bounce back to his surge track. And those who have taken advantage of this opportunity and bought more must have booked at least 10% to 15% profit margins. In my opinion, if we dig deep into the market, altcoins have bled more than Bitcion and provided the best buying opportunity. And after that, you see that the market has bounced back, so those who were in panic thought of selling in fear, while those who knew that this is an opportunity for buying, which is given every time before a bull run. They bought and filled their wallets with Altcoins. Beside that market, when there was a dump, people like big companies like Black Rock, Grayscale, Michael Saylor, etc. were buying instead of selling, so it was known that those people also knew that this is an opportunity for buying. 
 
So guys who have bought good altcoins while taking advantage of the dip. They will definitely be in profit. Because the market has bounced back and Bitcoin's major resistance now is 58.5k if Bitcoin breaks this resistance, we may be able to see a good gain in altcoins.
