Bitcointalk is also full of scams spam and whatnot. Sometimes going to the excessive misinformation from rotten brains because there is little involvement from the administration to prevent it beyond spam, because scams are not moderated. On social media, reports usually get solved quickly, but are also sloppy at times.
I think the forum is pretty well-moderated if we consider the fact that there are limited mods and we don't have algorithms filtering words and stuff and restricting scams and related stuff because social media platforms mostly work on algorithms, some reports might be handled by humans if they are manually reported but that isn't always the case and this is the reason why scammers and advertisers of shady businesses always find a way to escape or bypass those algorithms and automated systems and still somehow manage to promote their products and services.
I would say that no place is 100% clean, this needs maturity and reasoning from the side of the viewer.
You are right about this, people need to have a brain when it comes to scams and frauds because they can't be saved by moderators or filters or algorithms all the time and will need to have some general knowledge and understanding about these things and about what can and cannot be true and right.
