What are like more about bitcointalk forum when compared to other social media platforms is that it is a place to clear any misinformation and disinformation. Whenever I read about some crypto news, I usually come back here to fact check. I check the accuracy from the comments of most users which helps me to identify what information is a false narrative, a conspiracy theory, or the real information. I do not even need any other source to verify any information because the users here would have verified the credibility of the information sources.

Bitcointalk forum is social media forum certified to produce authenticated informations and providing educative measures across its audiences. Users here can always be confided with benefits of clarities at where one feels doubts or trying to o pave a way at your own quest and definitely with the quality of reputations this forum has attained, the forum is worth better to be google world of its own because informations spread here are legit and any misguiding once are tackled a d trashed. While the outside social medias are more of entertainment and spreading of invalid informations which could be false as well.
That is the uniqueness between the bitcointalk forum and the outside social media.

However, this social media is also advantageous if you use it in a positive way, but mostly it's only a place of scams and misleading information from unreliable  sources.

I would disagree to this.

Bitcointalk is also full of scams spam and whatnot. Sometimes going to the excessive misinformation from rotten brains because there is little involvement from the administration to prevent it beyond spam, because scams are not moderated. On social media, reports usually get solved quickly, but are also sloppy at times.

I would say that no place is 100% clean, this needs maturity and reasoning from the side of the viewer.

On social media, reports usually get solved quickly, but are also sloppy at times.

I think the forum is pretty well-moderated if we consider the fact that there are limited mods and we don't have algorithms filtering words and stuff and restricting scams and related stuff because social media platforms mostly work on algorithms, some reports might be handled by humans if they are manually reported but that isn't always the case and this is the reason why scammers and advertisers of shady businesses always find a way to escape or bypass those algorithms and automated systems and still somehow manage to promote their products and services.

I would say that no place is 100% clean, this needs maturity and reasoning from the side of the viewer.

You are right about this, people need to have a brain when it comes to scams and frauds because they can't be saved by moderators or filters or algorithms all the time and will need to have some general knowledge and understanding about these things and about what can and cannot be true and right.

Bitcointalk is not social media rather place more better than social media which every learned person would like to involved themselves with, I can see the usefulness of this forum over social media although there are other benefits which they offers as well but here is more for a normal people instead of a usual reckless people on social media. Since I found myself here i make it hard to come on other social media even if I does I don't waste my previous time over there instead i would come back here to continue reading and also involving myself in some of the discussion which I think I can.

I don’t use any social media at all. People say this forum is a spamfest but they probably haven’t seen twitter. Twitter is almost 90% bot fest. I read posts in twitter because people share twitter links a lot. I don’t post anything on twitter and I don’t read anything there in my free time. I deleted my facebook long time ago and never used Instagram. The forum used to be a better place of course but it is still far better than any social media crap out there.
I respect people who don't use social media more, I don't know why, even though I don't think about it.
The blessings you can find on the Bitcointalk forum are not even comparable to those on social media, in my opinion.
The information here is great blessings, the ones on social media are platforms full of pollution and bots and nonsensical redirects, so I'm not interested in social media either.

The information here is great blessings, the ones on social media are platforms full of pollution and bots and nonsensical redirects, so I'm not interested in social media either.

The problem is that not a lot of people think like us. Social media is full of visual illusions, and people like that. This forum doesn't have many visualizations; we are more into texts, which is considered traditional by most people these days, unfortunately. They don't know what they are missing out on though, regardless, it is tough to convince people that this forum is instrumental, especially those who are very much into social media platforms.

I have often heard such people saying that they get bored surfing around such forums, which is why they don't like it. Some would even say they get a headache after some time reading all the texts and barely having any visuals to see because they are used to watching videos and images while scrolling down through their Facebook and Instagram feeds.

From where I see it, we could be the first and last generation having interests in things such as this forum. People might like, adopt, and use Bitcoin in the future, but they will barely care about the forum where it all began because for them, it won't be anything more than an investment asset to be used for earning purposes.

Both social media and this forum has their cons and pros. Even if I base my judgement on your reply, you will still notice some kind of inconsistency. For instance;
  • Are there no people that misinform others here?
  • Are there no scammers here?
It all boils down on we knowing what we want, going for it and improving ourselves. But in all, forum is like a certain community with a limited and defined purposes while social media is broader with wider purposes.

We’re generally in a different era people think differently about social media and I always disagree, social media is not beneficial in terms of learning but I’m also interested in social apps for fun activities nothing much as a means of education etc. Bitcointalk forum can’t be compared with social media mostly in terms of written words, learning, even if we claim to prove some certain points about social media not all are true and it also depends on the kind of activities you view while making use of different social apps. My point of view concerning social pollutions is the kind of freedom displayed meanwhile this forum works differently, the forum was never created for entertainment views that’s why it’s more suitable for everyone.

The two are not the same and don't fall under the same category.
While social media might be somewhere you go to meet new people, do business and have fun,
The forum is mainly an educational space and don't give much room for fun. Most of the things that goes on here are strictly business related and Bitcointalkforum sure did take it with lots of seriousness.
This becomes of some real advantage as, it’s highly monitored for contents and works within a set of rules as well as, the many benefits already outlined in the OP.

Theirs thing's we misunderstood in the forum towards reputation, when you say reputation to members, you're talking about the users that have legacy in forum and can be trusted, reputation doesn't been determined by how long you have stayed in the community of bitcointalk, someone who registered in bitcoin two days ago maybe brilliant about ore
bitcoin than someone who has been in bitcointalk for long time, so someone knowing about bitcoin more than someone who doesn't know much about bitcoin, its doesn't mean that the one that knows bitcoin better is more reputable than the one who has been in the community for years but not brilliant enough to know the secrets behind technologies of bitcoin

Reputation is all about your legacy you showcase to people who is in same environment or community with you. Other points you reference or compare bitcointalk.org with other social media's is cool with me, but on the reputation aspects,  I think their's some little misconceptions there.

Bitcointalk started before social media came into existence.

Wrong

Facebook existed since 2003 or something if I recall correctly. And there was also MySpace. And AIM!

Generally speaking though, most forums have outlived several of the social media sites which we hear about now. Most were created in the 2010s, whereas most forums were made in the 2000s or even the 90s.

Back then it was much easier to make a forum with say phpBB or SMF or the like than it was to roll your own social platform from scratch. Besides, most people were not interested in doing that, as smartphones had not been invented yet.

Thanks for correcting me and it wasn't 2003 but Feb of 2004. I also forgot Orkut was much popular platform before Facebook and after Facebook was launched Orkut lost its charm and got closed.
