For now it is all about news and hype, sure, however there will be investor who may see those news and the fact XRP getting an USD-Stablecoin as an opportunity for investment. XRP and his Stablecoin would pass immediately to compete against USDT in the Tron chain (which is the most effective and cheapest way to transfer USDT (perhaps almost the most popular by volume), there is the small possibility RLUSD could start to take market from USDT, to get listed on Coinbase and also Binance, that would be translated to more volume within the ecosystem of XRP.
It is still no a safe bet, though, there have been already several stablecoins which have tried and failed to take the market dominance off USDT, it would be matter of time to see XRP can or not to get as big as USDT and the price of the coin to explode.

I am not willing to wager, though.

Unless Ripple gets the "green light" from the regulators to launch its own stablecoin, don't expect XRP to go anywhere soon. It's been years since the coin has failed to reach new gains in price. XRP went to around $3 per coin, and never went back. It's a bad long-term investment, imo. Still, I believe it's a far better option than Dogecoin. Especially if you're looking for something "stable enough" to prevent you from losing everything in an instant.

DOGE is a "meme" coin, so the risk of loss is simply too high to bear. Market prices are so volatile, that you'd be lucky if you strike it rich "hodling" DOGE in the long run. XRP is centralized (unlike DOGE), but it has managed to remain steady during the bear market. The coin is preferred by many banks worldwide. Imagine what would happen if Ripple's new stablecoin comes into fruition. XRP would "explode" like crazy. Ultimately, you decide what to do with your money. Just spend it wisely, and there should be nothing to worry about. Smiley

Holders of XRP should remain vigilant and look closely after the RLUSD, as you said, if it goes well, many people will get great results.
Though, I don't see it happening, but, crypto space is - the - space where impossible can happen Grin

Still holding my XRP , its not much but I am betting on it doing well in the next 12 months.

XRP did not have a bull run in 2021 due to the law suit and now that is almost over after many years, hopefully it will perform well for the rest of this current bull run.

I see the price is currently falling with the rest of the market, it is currently $0.51 and i am hoping it falls down to $0.47 that is when I have my next buy set.

Let's hope XRP will deliver Grin As it was said, they will try to go on with their own stable, maybe it will play its role in the overall state of the coin on the market.

We have never seen any bull run for many years on XRP. It's stable for long days. Once it was 1/2$ but i never have any mind to invest there, That's why i didn’t notice it. On the other hand Doge has shown much and more potentially though it is a memecoin. I think its more better than XRP for short term. I think Doge is the top and best memecoin on the market. So it is always better than XRP for short term not for ling term.

it's a good thing to do when buying, even though investors know the journey of XRP where the price goes down and up which happened in the past few years, but I think the price of the coin will rise and that's what investors expect in the future.

I'll start somewhat off-topic. Since Bitcoin is supposed to be at the first half of a bull run and still the price went down heavily this week, why not Bitcoin?
However, this is a speculation and don't invest just because I said so. Do your own research and decide based on what you think, I don't want to be held responsible if my logic is incorrect.

Now on-topic. Doge has quite a big tail emission i.e. inflation, hence imho its price is mostly speculated. XRP is even worse, since it's pre-mined, I expect the price being heavily manipulated by Ripple. So if you want to invest into altcoins, maybe you look around more advises and other coins.

Doge is perfectly design with endlessly decreasing inflation rate.

ie every year x coins

so year one to year two x turns to 2x and inflation is 100%

but year 10 you have 10x coins and year 11x inflation drops to 10%

and year 20 you have 20x coins with year 21x inflation drops to 5%

this is a very very very very good design for p2p and for mining.

miners always get a reward of 10,000 coins they know this and can plan for it.

and the inflation rate endlessly drops and drops and drops.

far far far far far better than btc for p2p

but the op wants to invest. and the back end inflation which will be lower than dollars does not match btc.

most people do not understand that btc had a very high rate of inflation years 1 to 4.

that dropped bigly in 2012 with first ½ ing

and the following 1/2ings.

if op wants to hodl more than 20 years he should do a mix of btc and doge.

fuck ripple it is pos which is a joke. (i am anti pos all pos)

now my opinion on the three coins above is not me giving advice it is an opinion.

I do have advice here it is :

do not invest more than you can afford to lose. furthermore just because you can afford to lose it in you own mind check with trusted friends and relatives as to whether you can afford to lose it.

Well, compared to many Bitcoin-like coins, which after a certain halving will get pretty much insignificant inflow of coins, Dogecoin still gets 5 billion coins every year as tail emission.
This is a bit much if one wants to invest, and even they consider it better for use as currency than keeping it locked:

Since Dogecoin is not meant to be hoarded — and hoarding is a major barrier to a cryptocurrency being used as, well, an actual currency — Dogecoin will have a much more utilitarian and practical place in the economy than other cryptocurrencies, which often remain unspent.

this is a very very very very good design for p2p and for mining.

I completely agree. Just OP was asking about investment, and on long term the 5bn inflow doesn't look promising imho.

most people do not understand that btc had a very high rate of inflation years 1 to 4.
that dropped bigly in 2012 with first ½ ing
and the following 1/2ings.

It was the same for Dogecoin back then, just since it had "doge years", I think that halvings came faster and afaik now it's the tail emission (for about 10 years already).
While there won't be more than 21M Bitcoin, for Dogecoin there will be no limit.

fuck ripple it is pos which is a joke

100% agreed.
