I believe that there is a very high chance that the US regime is going to eliminate Trump and blame it on a foreign assassin. This way they can desperately try to remove the root cause while directing the blame to outside. I also doubt they actually start a war over this considering how weak the US military is.
It is scary how much of this prediction of mine came true.
(1) The US regime (deep state, the establishment, the corporation, or whatever you want to call it) tried to eliminate Trump yesterday
(2) Immediately after, they surfaced all kinds of false information trying to blame a "foreign agent" from being Chinese all the way to blaming Ukrainians
(3) Since the attempt failed the prediction part about war is irrelevant at this point.
This brings me back to my original question in the topic I linked:
Is United States on the verge of a civil war?As a non-American I'm making an observation from outside. All I see is growing polarization and radicalization. The first turning point was when Trump became president back in 2017 and the next one was when he lost the election in 2021 and then incited violence which manifested in form of the attack on Capitol Building on Jan 6, 2021.
The US regime has been trying to eliminate him ever since, mainly by trying to put him behind bars and failing. Now a physical elimination attempt has failed as well. This assassination attempt is also a manifestation of that radicalization of the population.
Now I see two possible scenarios moving forward:
1. Trump losesIn which case a much worse version of Jan 6 could be repeated. An unrest that could last longer with much larger number of casualties. Specially since many are already predicting his victory and we already have things like
this circulating the social media, so these people would automatically assume cheating even without Trump inciting violence again.
This could be followed by Trump moving in the shadows and create some sort of "movement" that increases that radicalization and polarization of the US population that would grow like cancer and eventually come out as a civil war after some years.
2. Trump winsIn which case there will be unrest in the long run as he fails after a couple of years in office due to his crazy decisions (eg. Tariff War with China*) and specially because his radical buddies come back to the White House. The problem won't be his miserable failures, the problem will be the fact that he will blame "the establishment" for his failures which would radicalize and polarize the population even more, leading to possible future unrest.
* I've already explained why his trade/tariff war with China could destroy US economy in a couple of places but I'll try to open a new topic in Economy board for more discussions.
