Anyone who bought in the first half of this year will certainly find their crypto assets overperforming, there is no doubt. But what happened to the majority of my portfolio? no, they did not overperform overall, because I also bought them when the price was high, they were Oasis Network (ROSE). Are any of you also holding Oasis Network (ROSE) here?

I didn't think about it seriously, they're memecoins and some altcoins that have received less attention in recent years, so naturally when they get their turn to be seen, they could even outperformed Bitcoin (BTC). Hey, why do you always make topics related to Bitget, still working there as a shiller here? .

I don't really care about what outperformed bitcoin because many on the list are coins or tokens that I have never even heard about. They might have outperformed bitcoin but I am sure that in the long run the half of what is on the list wouldn't even be remembered or valued highly by many people. I don't think bitcoin is a reasonable comparison because it is best to look at the larger picture when it comes to bitcoin.

Well, i am not surprised. Although most altcoins that are rising are beating bitcoin because gap in their marketcap is just huge. And meme tokens are what newcomers and people who are aping in are looking for. But once again, news seem to forget that there are way more meme tokens and altcoins that are crashing or not going anywhere, then there are successful ones.

What i find funny is that at some point, institutional investors are coming for meme tokens, and probably not only just for mature and established meme tokens, but that they will legitimate the whole meme industry. And this is really interesting point in history that future generations are trying to wrap their head around, study and explain. It almost feel like end times of capitalism, when it turns to parody of itself.

I am mostly all in Bitcoin, I have a smaller allocation to Ethereum & even smaller altcoins. Quick calculations off the top of my head, my crypto portfolio is up approximately 110% start of year to today. It’s obviously a good return but I am selling nothing now as I expect it to be at least 300% up by the end of 2025.

We should give credit to the tokens doing well and have outperformed btc in the first half of the year, so you're not holding any? It grew to a point and then lost with the recent dumping by the German government of BTC. Still going back to the amount it was before but it's just the cycle and we shouldn't be that much looking into the portfolio unless you are actively trading and making yourself available throughout the trading.

I am looking forward to the possible bull run in the upcoming months.

because some portfolios need to determine the direction of investment objectives so that the investment focus and time period will be seen, without evaluating returns adjusted for risk, an investor cannot possibly see the overall investment picture, but I am sure that in the long term it may not be remembered or appreciated depending on us the extent of understanding that needs to be applied.

Good day as well, my portfolio is doing well and it's overperforming and I'm happy with that. If I didn't just sold during 2021 pre-peak of that market and before the ATH, it's more than the overperforming that I'm saying right now. So far, this year has been good to my portfolio and I am very much happy with that.

I am looking forward to the possible bull run in the upcoming months.

Do you guys think it will continue?

Yes. We've got this whole year for the bull run and let's say the 10-11 months of 2025. This isn't a financial advice though.

Another meme coin analysis. 

The current market is still on the level near all the time high so most of the crypto investors is probably still in profit unless you purchased at peak or near that level which is dumb thing to do.

My portfolio is still in minor profit since I already sold all my long time holdings near the peak and I’m just accumulating again when price is correcting so my current portfolio is just near breakeven right now due to my DCA.

No, I'm not. Only on Oasis Network (ROSE) ATM as it's still losing money, and some of the altcoins I bought - sold on speculation like Bitget Wallet Token (BWB), but it didn't gain anything after launch I bought it at $0.6 per $BWB.

Right now, Still gaining profit even though the market is very unpredictable and always ready when the market crashes, so we'll hoard what we can. And best to buy those altcoins that have potential and features that can help us with the transaction and it's network.

At least you DCA, and that's one of the best ways to have reasonable profit when the market pumps.
For me, I've been holding TON and BGB for a while, and luckily for me, TON is one of the best performing coins this year, while BGB is the top performing exchange coin this year.
Now I feel reluctant to DCA with both because I'm already up more than 90% in profit. I'm even surprised that they both gained up to 100% in 2024 according to the post. I think these two coins still have a long way to go higher.

This would actually depends on what coins/tokens you had bought on which it would really be that reflecting out whether your portfolio is composed of with those good established coins or its composed by meme coins?
We do know on which one would really be worth on holding for long term and which one wouldnt really be that good on doing so. For first half where this usually been talking about reaching new all time highs then pretty sure that you might be still that negative but somehow this wont really be that an issue if you are really just that have plans on holding it for long term. On the moment that you do step your foot into this market then this is where you should already put up into your mind is that there's no such thing about assurance that you could really be able to make profits so easily plus with the market to have such volatility then you would really be that definitely be having that kind of impulsive feeling and reaction.

If the market would be having that kind of deep or correction then it would be just right that you should be making up some DCA instead of freaking out and really like make those selling decisions
just because you cant really be able to bare out such risks or condition. This is why self preparedness and sustain will really be crucial on this particular moment in time
on the market. Acceptance and getting used to it would really be the key.

Pretty good. Just my BTC portfolio already made at least 50%, I reckon it made more since I was doing DCA. For other coins I've profited a bit during some of the memecoins runs, just shorted them for a bit and left. Most of my alts are in profit as well, just not that big since a majority of my portfolio is still in BTC.

Pretty sure in general most people should be in profit, unless ofc you just recently started during the current years peak.

my take is that if something like meme coin got shiled by forbes probably you're already late to the hype train  .
never ends well with the shill coming from big news and media outlet even more so if it's meme coin it means those early meme coin holders gonna sell at the news.
but to be fair, meme coin money has been spread to too many meme coin these day that I think it's not really good investment anymore.

I don't follow analysts and reviewers in making my market/portfolio decisions and evaluations, all I need are right in front of me. In a nutshell, the H1 of 2024 has been a rollercoaster, there are coins in my portfolio that had enough profits initially, but now, they have reduced the profits significantly, while some are running at a loss despite being in profits initially. I hope this will change as Bitcoin has rebounded upward and is now bullish in price action on the 1D and 1W charts. Other coins will follow the pattern as it is being seen already across the market board. I only hope it can stay above $62,120 for months, then it can help most altcoins to deliver multiple ROI for their investors in the H2, or at least erase their losses.

Not as bad as I imagined to be fair. I expected the rise to happen some other time, not this early, like end of the year and not at the start of the year. Thankful to this, I ended up doing something well, it doubled my money and I am happy about that. You can't say "I doubled my money in half a year" that easily, it takes a lot more than half a year normally, so being able to say 100%+ profit in less than half a year is always a great feeling. This will take a while for people to realize how valuable, which is why they are not holding long term but if people kept long term they would all be making a great income from it.

I personally believe that the best we can do right now would be just realizing that we could hold long term. Trading is fun, I know it's fun, a lot of people make a lot of money and have fun while they are trading, but you do not have to trade with 100% of your capital, you could still simply just end up doing something more by buying and holding some of it aside. That way, while you are trading with some of your money, you would also be doing fine with rest of your money and holding long term. That seems like the smart thing to do and would make a lot of people a lot of money.

Since this movement began bitcoin has grown 200%, and I suppose there are many altcoins that did the same or grew even more than that, so if anyone that has been around at least since that time is presenting losses then they need to reconsider whether they have any skill as traders.

I say this because it cannot really get any easier than this, and if even under this environment a person is failing to make any money, this just shows they do not really have any skill as traders or investors.
