I want to ask everyone interested in the topic of betting a question: are you developing as a betting player? Now I don't mean casino games that are completely dependent on luck. I write about sports and other bets in which you can make a profit in the long term, although it is very difficult and the percentage of such players is very small. I also ask that those who “play for fun” not take part in the discussion. Such people, in my opinion, have little valuable to say on this topic. If you take your entire gaming history, would you say that you have learned anything during this time? In other words, are you progressing as a player? Is your strategy improving? Is the quality of risk management and money management improving? Have you learned to control your emotions? Are your winning statistics stable? Do losses keep you out of the game? Have you learned to recover from losses? Are you getting better at predicting the results of sports matches?

You've got lots of questions right there. Anyway, it's more or less the same for me as far as strategy is concerned. It has always been analyzing who's likely to win and who's likely to loss vis-à-vis the worthiness of the odds. On the other hand, I've always been trying to keep my gambling account's balance minimal. This way, I won't be spending much due to impulsive betting. Pre-fight bets aren't a problem with me. It's when I'm trying to catch the best odds while watching the game live that's when I often encounter problems.

I used to until I got to a point where I was making a regular income of several hundred a month and that's where I stopped. With how hard the field is, it was not worth the effort-reward of trying to climb higher. Now for some time I have been playing less as in the end you get a little bored because it is always the same, especially due to variance. If playing poker was like writing here, which has no variance, I think I would play more hours but my finances are pretty good today (I have been cultivating them for years).
It is a question that only makes sense, as you mention, in skill games.

That's a lot of questions but I will try to answer some of them. ~snip If you take your entire gaming history, would you say that you have learned anything during this time? In other words, are you progressing as a player? Is your strategy improving? Is the quality of risk management and money management improving? Have you learned to control your emotions?
Yes, I have learned to control myself but there will always be a time when emotions get the better of me and I keep on depositing because of the ease of payment options. If as a gambler we call "control" as progress then I guess it is progress in my case. Money management for me is when you will be able to stop when your brain tells you to stop even if you have the means to deposit again. I've learned that the hard way after losing a lot of money and some money that is intended for something important. I don't think emotions can be controlled easily, there will always be that tendency where we weren't able to control it but we must at least resist the temptation to make more deposits. Are your winning statistics stable? Do losses keep you out of the game? Have you learned to recover from losses? Are you getting better at predicting the results of sports matches?
No, winning had been hard this week. Yes, losses keep me out of the game especially if I feel like I've been wasting too much time and money on it. I have not yet bet consecutive games in sports because I am waiting for the NBA to start again. I will try to record everything once it starts again.

Betting and gambling should be for fun and not for making money because people that think of gambling to make money are more vulnerable to losses and gambling addiction. I also ask that those who “play for fun” not take part in the discussion. Such people, in my opinion, have little valuable to say on this topic. If you take your entire gaming history, would you say that you have learned anything during this time? In other words, are you progressing as a player? Is your strategy improving? There is just little strategies to follow before you stake on a match. There is nothing to improve about that. Any match that you stake on can be won or lost even if you stake on a strong team to win an underdog, the underdog might draw the match or win. Betting is luck despite that you analyze the match. Know that most people that are betting are losing.

As much as I bet for fun, I don't keep track of how stable these winnings are just that I play without thinking about records. Regarding progress as a player, of course from before to now there has been a little progress in analyzing strategies, risk management, stricter discipline, responsibility. All of that is learned here with some previous discussions by observing many things about better betting, but I never think this should be profitable, this remains as fun.

I believed that if a players or a bettor should progress, there could be a circumstances that really change his behavior. Like for example, he doesn't have the means to gamble anymore as the money is not coming into his way just like before. So he will have to reduce his gambling habits to always 0 and then later on when he had gotten back, got a good job or something maybe he won't gamble as he was before. In short, he has evolved and could have matured already. So maybe a few bets here and there, but not going to be addicted or bet huge amount of money.

Your questions are not suitable for an idealistic gambler, gambling should not be for a living. All bettors want to win their bets besides the main goal of entertainment, and therefore they must gain experience, so both ideal gamblers & pragmatic gamblers should have progress.
I spend most of my bets on sports betting, so i think i'm better suited to answer your last question. Do i get better predictions over time? of course, i'm more familiar with the characteristics of a competition or league. For example, don't make over bets on the Egyptian or Algerian leagues, and don't make under bets on leagues in Scandinavian countries.

You just have to bet on what you think who will win, regardless of the odds. Because I see bettors, like in sports betting that if they don't like the odds then they will not go and bet. And then later complain that they should have won if they point some money on it. Regardless of how little it will be, still a lunch money if you put your bet there.
Strategies will improved overtime, you learn how to play without your emotions, because sometimes we get carried away specially if you are in the losing side and we wanted to chase. But as you improved, you might not go and deposit for more. Might call it a day and just wait tomorrow, maybe it's going to be very different for you, if could be that you can win and recover that earlier losses. Definitely, if you follow that sports and then you have betting for years, at least you have the advantages in predicting the outcome and win.

What you think is a progress or improvement to you is totally different from how I view progress. I used to be an impulsive sport bettor back then when I was in the university. I played lots of games but only won a few games. I was partly in it for fun and partly for the money but the rate at which I gambled was not healthy. Right now, alot about my gambling habit has changed greatly and I am super grateful for the efforts I put in to still remain a "sane person ". I no longer gamble like I used to in the past and when I decide to gamble, I do not exceed my limits no matter the pressure to do more. This is a good improvement on my personality as a sports bettor. I may not be getting all the money I should be getting from bets but defeating that strong urge to gamble all day is a great improvement to my person.

Nope, I didn't want to spend too much time for entertainment, so there's no progress or improvement in gambling. I'd choose to spend my time to learn something that could increase my income or hanging out with new people to increase my relation.
If I only focus to gamble and being friend with gamblers, I would be stuck and there's no progress for me to achieve something big.
In the end, I'm in loss.

The aspect where I can say that I've grown evidently is the part of loss management and how I go about recovering what I've lost most in a bet. At the initial stage when I started off, the mentality is that I must always win when I go out to bet and sometimes I could go with an amount that's even my last cash thinking I can easily double it up and use it to get myself somethings. The hard reality is that it never ends well and I had to add it to my lesson portfolio for bet betting decision. Now, I don't use any money that I'm using for something important to bet. I could also say that because I've grown my income above what it used to be, it has helped me to be more matured with how much I put into betting and I haven't been too aggressive like at the start but that's just with respect to the amount used.
As per my development and growth with regards my choice of games and the numbers I play per time, I've learned to stick to fewer numbers of games on a slip and stake with a bigger amount that playing multiple slips with smaller and rational amount, it's just likely that it's not my thing but I've learned that choosing fewer games works better for me so I just stick with it.

Before getting to know gambling, I didn't really like Poker either in land-based casinos or hanging out with friends. But as time goes by, continuously visiting online casinos now inevitably starts to become interested in playing poker, there are many lessons that can be learned, especially how to play effectively, apply careful strategies and stay calm. Even though I'm completely unskilled and lose more often than I win. However without realizing it, I started learning money management, controlling emotions evaluating every defeat and trying to find new methods on several poker channels from professional people.

If the left cerebral part of the brain is functioning than the right part, that means the person uses more of his right side limbs most. Like his hand and leg. In short, it means the person is a right handed person. I noticed in school that almost all students that are were using left to write were good in mathematics. I was not surprised when I saw some researches about it. I think you want to post that your right cerebral is more active. There is other part of the brain hemisphere that are not cerebrum, although the cerebrum takes the largest portion of the brain in mass which is 85% of the human brain. Irrespective of someone being a mathematician or not, I still believe that casinos are games of chance and luck.

In general I can boldly say that, I’m getting better with my gambling and I don’t even think I would ever be an addict because I’m already mastering the skill of knowing when to stop and when to take a break. Over the time, I would say that, my entire story and journey in the gambling industry is already a very great and interesting one because I’m already seeing growth and actual improvements from predictions to risk management to being able to withdraw and having a budget for my gambling has been key areas I’ve focused on and frankly I’m a better person when it comes to gambling. So yes I’m improving in almost all spheres of my life as with regards to gambling.

Bets unlike casino games requires some amount of calculations and strategies to analyze matches. You need to have some knowledge about the two teams that wants to compete and from there you can analyze and decide which team that you think will win a match. I will say that I've improved in my analysis when it comes to predicting the outcome of matches, also while interecting with other bettors I've also increased my technical knowledge. Although despite the experiences that a gambler can gather, the match can still go against your bet, so there's no perfection in gambling, no matter how you develop yourself.

I don't know how someone will developed or progressed though, I mean it's gambling, we bet on the unknown, so have can be control everything when we don't know what is the outcome of our bets? Maybe others will say that in sports betting, their skills have been honed because of years of experienced. But still though, we really can't say that we have gain that experienced to say that we become expert or not in that field. We might recover some of our losses, but still it's the same outcome most of the time, either we take a L or take a W. Maybe we think that we are getting better in predictions, but there could be outcome that it totally unpredictable and that is the very definition of gambling.

For me I will say that right from day 1 I have be very careful about the funds I use in gambling, despite how tempting it could be, I have been trying my best to maintain my limit because I understand the dangers involved when I go off my limit, in the aspect of strategy am one of those people that does not believe that gambling has a strategy, whether casino or sports bets I don't concur to such notion that gambling in general has stregy that needed to mastered by gamblers in other to be successful in it. I wouldn't say am losing much or winning much because of the amount I use in gambling, I use an amount that I can easily let go, although no matter how it looks once we lose money irrespective of the amount, it is always painful but personally my loss and winning is in balanced form, as for predicting the outcome of sport games as you said, it is very difficult to get an accurate prediction considering many things, but sometimes matches ends according to my predicts but that doesn't make me a guru because there aren't any guru in sports match predictions in general.

Yes I have learned a few things and one of them is to keep learning, keep your eyes peeled. The betting community is vast and many things are to explore. I keep learning about the matches I watch as well as the opinion of others both experts in the field and just mere fans. Knowledge is power when it comes to betting especially sports.
