Biden will likely drop out of race[dropped out][Harris nominated?]

Joe Biden recently said he would drop out of the Presidential race if a medical issue were to come up. Less than 12 hours later, it was announced that he has been diagnosed with Covid-19.

I think it is very likely that Biden will drop out of the race. Given recent events, the Presidency is almost certain to be won by Trump.

What do you think? Who, if anyone will be the Democrat presidential nominee?

Update: Biden has dropped out, and has endorsed Harris, the person he chose as his VP because of her gender and race.

This is not going to stop Biden to continue with his campaign, In my opinion. Even though he is an elder, it is very unlikely that virus will cause some severe symptoms upon him, like getting him tubed and in the emergency room of some hospital.
It is more possible he will just face some mild symptoms (full-time ones) and he will avoid to attend public events for some days.

Though, I must say; in the very far away case Biden ends up getting severe COVID and cannot even appear in public, his pride and stubbornness won't allow him to drop out the race anyways. At this point there are little scenarios which would push him to voluntarily withdraw himself from continuing to pursue power

I think it is likely he is using having covid as an excuse to drop out of the race. Biden's current poll numbers likely wont include Trump's boost from the failed assassination attempt against him, and Biden's poll numbers are falling. There are reports that Biden is having difficulty raising money for his campaign.

He may use it as a means to exit the race (and hopefully the presidency) gracefully.

I meant the political campaign, you know, the presidential race he is going through right now.
And to be honest, my personal theory is his wife is keeping him from dropping out the race, it is either her or part of their family who like to be part of the family of the president of the United States.
On the other hand, when we talk about signals from God, he is stubborn enough to be going through some serious health condition and yet continue within the race, it is when people ask him about his mistakes when naming people, he gets defensive and does not answer, it is the same with the rest of the "signals".
The more complicated thing get for him, the less likely he is to drop out.

Covid19 is not as serious and detrimental to our lives as it has been before so I reckon that Biden is going to suffer a lot from this. It's basically the common flu at this point so I don't think he will pull out of the competition just yet.

Too bad. America deserves a president that is healthy and has a lot more years ahead of him.

My point is that there is not much of a campaign. It is like if you say that Wolkswagen is running an ad campaign by saying that they have to legally refund money to all the users that basically were scammed by them in the lab tests for polution.

Is just a example, and the thing about God is also funny - I do not think She talks and sends plagues and all that Christian stuff. The fact is that by this point he should be aware that he is less likely to beat Trump than before the debate and there is also division in the party. One has to know when one has done enough and needs to pass the work to the next person.

I'm wondering how many times Biden already got Covid. If it's not 3rd time, I'm sure that's 2nd time at least. And by the way, he got vaccinated many times too, 4 doses if not more. Anyway, from all communication it doesn't looks that it will be used as excuse to drop out of race. Remember first debate, when Biden looked so bad and talked nonsense, they also used excuse that he wasn't feeling ok

and has a lot more years ahead of him.

It's just a speculation that Biden is suspected to be diagnose with COVID-19. However, If he is not medicallly fit for the rerun election democrats can only forward another nominee to the electoral body if the constitution permit that but if the constitution did not permit a party to nominate another candidate after forwarding their nominee to the electoral authority I think democrats may not possible have a candidate in the forthcoming election and that will automatically make it possible for Trump to win the election. In otherwise democrats can as well nominate the vice president as their presidential candidate if biden is not medically fit for the rerun election.

I came across this headline in the news just yesterday that Biden is more likely to drop out of the race. Earlier before, I heard he had contacted Covid-19 but I never for once related it to that headline I saw in a later date after the news of his contraction. I don’t know how far he’s going to with his campaigns now but with recent events that’s happening, Trump looks to be the one to win ahead of Biden. This may also be a political stunt, because losing when you didn't even get to the polls is better to some people than getting their and losing in the eyes of many as an incapable and not most preferred candidate for the seat.

It is funny how nature keeps them in check.
Isn't this one of the very people that kept forcefully pushing the COVID-19 vaccination agenda, claiming that those vaccinated would be safe unlike the unvaccinated counterparts?

I wonder how they feel about it now, with those regular COVID-19 comebacks. In another alternate universe those chaps should have been sued, tried in courts and jailed for spreading false information to the masses and endangering their lives about the purported effectiveness of the vaccines.

Yup. Putting Harris on the ticket will be a disaster because well, she is incompetent. She was likely made VP as way to guarantee that Biden would not get impeached because she is so bad. I don't think the US is ready for a DEI hire for president. If Democrats pass Harris over, they would be passing over a black women, and they are so obsessed about identity politics that this would not do well with their base.

This is not very serious. The field should be open to other contenders with better polling data. Kam is just not good enough in terms of polling - and I am sure she is energetic, astute and appeals to a wide range of audience, but we have to reckon she is also well hated by ample sectors of the electorate. I really hope there is some way of presenting a proper "underdog" that can create the enthusiasm required to stop Trump - or make him "win again" like last time I mean

Unfortunately American politics has become a race to the bottom.  The Democrats are a lost cause too wrapped up in identity politics than only they care about to be effective at anything and the old Republican RINOS are still lamenting the old uniparty days and thinking they still might have a chance. Both, rightly so, see Trump as their biggest threat and are doing EVERYTHING to try and eliminate him.  I expect there will be more attempts on his life.

  I thought he got vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus when it was rampant? Is it really COVID-19 or is it just stress as a result of standing too much and talking because from what I read, the symptoms the doctor  gave as an indicator that he might have the virus is hoarseness of the throat and cough. For a man of his age, he needs rest not much stress.
I don't even believe he's dropping out of the race because of this sickness too because the first time he got diagnosed of COVID when it was serious, he didn't relinquish his position or even hand over to his vice, so I don't really see why the media will say he's quitting because of it now.
