Now the question is, who is dumber, Craig Wright or Calvin Ayre?
Well if you look at Wright, he went from being a recently laid off surprisingly poorly paid firewall installer to living a blinged out multimillionaire lifestyle for over a decade. Perhaps he'll have to spend the rest of his life in places that don't extradite to the UK but I bet he's still living a lifestyle much nicer than he could have afforded from his original condition.
So how stupid is he?
Maybe we're all the stupid ones. This seems to be the lesson that so many shitcoiners have learned: The general public is dumb and will shovel money on people that loudly make impossible promises, and actual punishment for this fraud will be delayed at best but most often non-existent.
CSW didnt have £6m to his name. he needed to have his business partners pay up the court fund for the case,to avoid the businesses from being locked into the settlement to COPA
as for his sponsors/investors. when the courts froze the businesses and the sponsors of CSW had to pay up the amount to avoid their future assets being locked, the sponsors should have used that opportunity and done a contract with CSW that transfers all assets out of CSW involvement, distance themselves from CSW and then sell the assets*/life story rights(whatever CSW promised them over the years) to leave CSW penniless and no longer sponsored
if they just handed over the £6m and still left the assets* in CSW ownership and still facilitating his lifestyle. then they are stupid. the court case where the businesses were at risk of being locked would have been the most business savvi opportunity in the last few years that the sponsors could have used to sever ties and get the assets* they were promised(*i use the word assets loosely)
the only reason i can think of that they are still facilitating his life style:
a. dumb enough to think they will somehow oneday get the promised assets and somehow get ROI
b. using CSW scam agenda funding as a tax write-off
