We know that is the first question came to your mind and its obvoius afterall so many scam coins were launched and died. They followed a same pattern which we, check our github and confirm yourself we really made some efforts to fork and make some changes to the blockchain.

This coin have masternodes, so only rich will get rich? What about miners?
We belive both miners and stakers play major role in securing the blockchain network and I personally think that masternodes performs various taks which make HootChain network more secure and fast. But to distribution fair initially miners will have advantage in block distribution and slowly the advantage will move to masternodes. We will talk about it in detail later in this post.

First 600 Blocks will get 20% of actual block reward that is 1 HOOT then on 601 block actual block reward will start. This should give everyone enough time to catch up including miners and pool owners etc.

The block reward distribution will gradually shift over the next seven months to a permanent split between miners and masternodes. It will start with 60/40 split between miners and masternodes, each month, the proportion allocated to miners will decrease, while the portion for masternodes will increase, until they reach their final allocation of 20/80 respectively. The reward allocation for Masternodes is set to increase every month untill final ratio is achived.

Important Announcement: Adjustment in HootChain Reward Distribution

Dear HootChain Community,
We want to inform you about an important change in the reward distribution between masternodes and miners. Initially, we rewarded miners more generously to have a better decentralized distribution of coins among everyone. However, this did not turned out the way we planned. Only a very few people owns X11 Asics so the number of individual miners is very low. Now that people have stopped renting hashrates, we have clear numbers. Therefore, we have decided to adjust the percentages to better balance the incentives.

New Reward Scheme

Change Starts: Block 12000.
Gradual Increase: Masternodes will receive an increasing percentage each month until reaching 80% for masternodes and 20% for miners.
Reason: Balance incentives and reduce selling pressure from profit switching pools.

Preparing for the Change

Pools and Exchanges: Please update your software before block 12000 to adapt to the new reward scheme.
Community: Share this information and prepare for the transition.

we're starting looking into xeggex on grounds of listing these scams for free, or at the very minimum, faking these coins market action to fool crypto newbs and dump on them

for all I know xeggex is spamming us with these scams themselves on their free time

I have a belief that both exchanges and ASIC people (from the manufacturers down to hardware resellers) produce coins just to pump their own interest.

But, no way to prove it.
