hello everyone.
I'm a newbie that has not explore that much in this forum because I don't know much about the forum. I really need everyones advise on how to go about things and become more familiar with the forum.

I joined this forum last month but I have not been active for the past few days now because I was trying to see how I can learn more about Bitcoin and this forum as well in order for me to fit in and make good quality post that will add value to everyone in this forum.

Now that am back, I need help as a beginner and I will really appreciate everyone's support in other for me to know more and become much more better in the forum.

You have said it, you haven’t explore the forum enough since joining so it means there are quite some things and rules you are not yet familiar with so firstly i think reading the sticky threads on each boards will be very useful in knowing more about the forum. Knowing and understanding the do’s and don’t of the forum is the most important thing before learning about bitcoin.

As a beginner you need to be more of a reader, read through every thread that interests you to learn from people’s discussions and ignore any spirit of posting or merit hunt that way it will be a easier to grow after acquiring necessary knowledge.

You are welcome back to the forum. As a newbie, to grow you need to read the replies and links that the other members of the forum will add in their comments.  However, I want to point out if you had scanned through the topics in the board before creating your topic, you would have concluded that there had not been any need to make create a new topic. This is because this type of topic is the most commonly asked topic by newbies on the forum and the responses they get is always the same. The next time you want to create a new post, use the search button to know if the topic you want to ask had already been responded to on the forum.

It is true that he needs to be more of a reader, but I think that there are a few boards where he can write even if he doesn't know much about Bitcoin and/or cryptos. This B&H is a good example, but not the only one: he can also be active in Off-topic, Politics & Society, even in Economics, if he has knowledge on the subject, and some more.

Only reading can be demotivating. Let's let him express himself too.

OP, you've got here a lot of useful links, now it's your turn to read and learn. We can't do that for you, you have to do it yourself and hopefully learn your share of it.

In case you didn't notice, the sticky threads (those which are glued to the top of every thread listing) are there for a purpose. You can't hardly oversee those, can you?

First thing you have to find chance and remain active her on the forum. The knowledge you will acquire from this forum can only be acquired if you are always active, reading and learning from every quality posts made by other members. To stay active is very simple if you are someone who use a mobile device, just get your data on and use the telegram notification not so you can get notified of every new topics. Well, other members have given you links to some of the important thing you might want to check out to ease your journey here on the forum. Just find time to check them out.

In life, all you need is patience. The reason I said so is because, through your previous posting, I discovered that you have a bit of knowledge, and it seems you are trying your best, but why will you still tag yourself as someone who knows nothing about the forum? Is it for hunting merit or what? 
 
With time, if you can still be patient enough and involved in a higher quantity of research, you will find out that you have achieved a lot, and you will even have the chance to teach others. When you find things hard to understand, you are free to ask, but one month is enough to make adequate research. You are actually ready to learn, so don’t be weak and lazy. Keep in mind that everything in this life is time, and eventually your time will come, so all you need is a strong mind of patience and zeal to make important research that will improve your knowledge.

There are alot of posts regarding this topic, advice for newbies on how to go about the forum. If you scroll down the thread you will see similar posts and if you can't find one, you use the search button and search for posts to see if there are topics relating to what you are looking for, if there is none that suits your interest or doesn't contain the information you are looking for, then you can create your own post. But in a situation you found what you are looking for, you won't need to create similar post anymore.

I'm telling you this as a newbie so you don't go about and creating an already existing topics. This is done to reduce the level of spamming.

If you do not know much and are still learning, there are a few ways you can provide value to the Forum.  Find interesting things to learn about Bitcoin and use the Forum Search to check whether it has ever been discussed or not.  Even if it has been discussed, maybe you can make something much more educative or interesting than what the previous Thread starters could.  We are all learning continuously anyway, but it is a hard thing to provide value knowing nothing much about Bitcoin when you are on a Bitcoin Forum where some of us have been lurking around for many years.

See what other Members did to make this Forum a better place.  When you see a highly Merited Thread, check it out carefully and see what you can learn from it so you can get some Merits too.  The work is often worth the final feeling of being praised by the community.

First of all you're welcome to this forum where you will learn a lot about Bitcoin. I suggest you to read topics at Bitcoin discussion board to get more familiar with Bitcoin. Most of the top level topics related to Bitcoin are available at that board.

If you want to know about this forum and you're already familiar with Bitcoin then I suggest you to read topics at Meta board as that's a very important board to learn about things that are directly related to this forum.

And the best board for beginners is always going to be Beginners & Help where you can ask questions about anything you want and you'll get valuable advice in the form of replies in your threads and similarly you can learn a lot as a beginner by reading topics at this board.

You won't make consistent learning in the forum unless you become active again and explore and read new and old threads in the forum. That way, even if you study on your own and DYOR as much as possible, believe me you will learn more that way than asking tips and suggestions from other members here in the forum. Although it's never bad to ask some guides, but if you don't have time to read them, you will never learn also.

I don't think you should refer yourself as a newbie because in no time your rank is going to change, depending on how frequent you are in the Forum and how well you drop your post, I mean quality post because that's one of those things you need to make it to the next rank. I'd say you shouldn't let anything to discourage you from coming online to do the needful, to me I feel one of the reasons why you went off since you registered was because you weren't getting what you expected, so if you keep that in front of you I don't see you heading far on the Forum.
And I don't think you need much to know more about Bitcoin trading or investment, depending on whichever one you feel is good, meet the right members, ask questions and you're good to go, as you can see some members have provided you with some links to start with, you're welcome back.

I have seen quite a lot of posts from newbies asking how they should go about things in the forum. Quite alot of them just like OP have been around for a long time without really knowing what they are doing here.

It is time newbies change whatever mindset they have about the forum and learn how to enjoy the forum just like they would do to social media platforms. If they actually enjoy the forum, it would trigger them to want to explore more to satisfy themselves and their curiosity. The obvious truth is, anyone who craves for new knowledge and is passionate about learning about Bitcoin will easily learn and adapt to the forum than those who are here probably because they heard they can actually earn from the forum.

OP, just randomly follow up posts from different boards. The kinds of information you get here should amaze you and trigger you to dig deep for more information. Enjoy the forum and you will get used to how things are done here.

The OP is very likely years away from any sig campaign so it's certainly not something to think about at all. However, this statement of yours is only partially correct, because although there are sig campaigns that encourage quantity over quality, not all of us are sig spammers.

Good to have you back and I hope that you'll be more active this time, there's no dull moment in this forum. As a newbie you need to be observant and read the sticky threads in every board, they're guides on how to proceed in the different boards. SatoPrincess, and other members have generously shared loads of links for you to engage in and build your knowledge about Bitcoin. Don't expect to be spoon-fed by experienced members, you need to read and learn from existing threads, carry out research and also learn from reputable crypto sites. Start a topic only when you want to make quality contributions and ask relevant questions when you don't understand, experienced members will not hesitate to guide you properly. This is how some of us learnt and increased our crypto knowledge in this forum.

You don't necessarily need everyone's advice to succeed here. Not everyone will be interested in helping you, just pick a few advice and go your way. Infact, when advice becomes much, you will be more confused on which to absorb and the one to expunge.
