I know we all are following the Champions League but we all know the madness is here.... so..... we are gonna start round 1 is up, and i have some nasty news in the good way, this time and since we dont start from the round 1 in Bundesliga and we are like in round4 in LaLiga, i decided to took as the first batch the actual top five teams from each league, and guess what? BAYER MUNICH IS NOT AMONG THEM, crazy right? or better to say MADNESS RIGHT?

So we are 5 round free from them!!!! This could be a crazy start.

I wonder in which universe this could happen - hopefully not ours, since I’ve included Bayern winning the title in most of my outright bets.
I see we’re once again not picking teams from Ligue 1? That’s a shame, though the start of the season seems to offer plenty of variety, incidentally, Serie A is a pleasant surprise - both in terms of the number of goals and the absence of goalless draws. At the moment, picking teams from there does not seem absurd.

As a late goal sniper the concept of "Cross League Goal Madness" doesn't sound too unfamiliar for me.
Then again 2 years ago I trialled an over 4.5 goals trading system that failed badly because of bad match selection

I had to step back from forum for few weeks and I was not following most of the stuff happening here.
Now I am slowly coming back and I think next week I will return to normal activity.

Nice to hear you are taking part of the funniest competition in our gambling section (self given). Dont spend so much time reading the rules is most easy jsut to play and when you ahve a doubt read them. As always you can find the rounds and the link to the spreadsheet with the results in the second post of the thread like in the BSFL.

Hahaha it could happen since most of the time i use the darbit and not the darx name in the sport competitions some users can doubt about if it is the same. But i was not expecting that from an OG like you. 

Thank you thank you and do not worry I know these pools on the forum. Play it first, make the logical things, then learn as you go. Even this was the case with BSFL, and the Champions League event, just play it, trust instinct and read the rules if something confuses you

We are having even better numbers "without" a sponsor who add sum to the pot than before, is this the biggest Cross League goal Madness in term of players!

The bad thing is im gonna have to do a lot more work. 

About the team selection..... i know i put the 90% rule for a team who is selected 3 times above it but damn.... seems like they have fear.

I didn't realize some of the newcomers would be listed, but yeah since they're currently in the top 5 we have to deal with them.

This has been one of the hardest rounds in Madness history to pick teams. Many high scoring sides are MIA while most on the list seem conservative or are playing against decent opposition. I just relied on what usually worked for me before and went with a few Bundesliga teams. As for the relegation team, that wasn't as complicated.

Happy to see more members joining at the last minute, this is going to be a mad season! Have fun and good luck everyone!

This was easier than usual because I simply guessed without really paying attention to actual performance (Bayern not even being in the top is a surprise for example!). Pouring more money away as usual, I be. How many players do we have here, boss? I see a new face or two, did any leave?

Barcelona have 3 matches scored 5 goals continuously... will it replace Bayern Munich? Against Levante for him is something easy again, I think they will slaughter again.

Real Madrid and Chelsea, Dortmund is a realistic option, sometimes this will not be in accordance with the points in want, I know some times Madrid is difficult, but do not know for Chelsea and Dortmund can probably get more than 5 points in both games.

Judging by the percentage chart, there are 18 participants in total. Assuming everyone has made their pick, I don't know how darxiaomi handles those who skip a round.

Barcelona was a super-duper obvious choice, but two participants decided to bet against it which really surprised me (do they know something that will give them an edge over everyone else? I don't buy it).
All in all, this round isn't exactly offering much variety. I’d even say there are five teams you should pick without a second thought, incidentally, for some reason I wasn't paying attention and missed Chelsea - I have a feeling I’m going to be punished for that.

Those who know me are familiar with my Freiburg leanings (even though the actual player who brought me to their doorstep no longer plays with them). But surely one cannot take the win so easily in the first week? I have 10 points, still more than most people. I giggle from the rafters.

We still have to wait for the last games of this round, which are the ones of Inter and BEtis but it seems like we have a winner of this first round of this season 3 of crossleague goal madness.

I dont want to alredy call his name since it could jinx him so im gonna avoid it until is confirmed.

In my case im right now in the bottom of the round but i still ahve Inter left to play, lets see if i can sum a few more goals.

About Bayer Munich and Elversberg, pretty decent game from the newcomers, the same goes for Hull City which still fight at top.
