so i have account in fortunejack since years
never did kyc
deposit and withdra  few times but im negative in this account
i want to re deposit around 1k so i ask them to do my lyc now and so everything will be ok
i know fortune jack is pretty famous and looks legit
but i want to avoid any issue

so there is the answer i get just few minute away
im sorry but i find this ridiculous
from my country kyc is mandatory before betting, and it should be the norm everywhere
but i get it if i win too much they will ask kyc and more shitty documents like cloudbet and others did to me in the past

so yeah sorry fortune jack, i will go somewhere else
i really find this behavior weird.

Hi, if it is not a lot of trouble for you, would you mind reuploading the images using https://www.talkimg.com/? at the moment the images you have broken and "about:blank#blocked", so we can't really see what they replied to your request to undergo KYC verification.

anyway, if what you say is true, I do find it kind of weird that they'd reject a KYC verification when the gambler themselves is the one requesting it. I wonder what their reason is for rejecting your request to undergo KYC.

Here is the image link; https://ibb.co/WP3DsCR and the rendered image
.

The Op erroneously wrote the link twice making it impossible to be rendered or clicked on.

From the chat it seems the support is following the laid down protocol that KYC can only be passed when it is required, they cannot configure your account to do it in advance. Op was also hasty to leave the chat too, it is possible that with some persistence the issue could be advanced to a higher authority and something could be changed.

Asking for KYC in advance is a weird practice, is the first time I see a user trying it. But I feel like every casino should let their users to KYC their accounts before making a deposito, that way the user will build trust.

Maybe other casino let you do it, you should try with the most popular casinos.

-snip-
Why weird?

Asking KYC in the front actually have a good few things, one of them is being mentioned by @OP. To avoid some case they will ask you some KYC once you win a big money, especially people who want to bet big like a few thousand dollars (recommended passed KYC level 3-4) before deposit.

Some casino use KYC in the front, before player can access the casino game & deposit. Usually about legal things, but the other good things on casino side usually:
- To verify user age
- To verify user resident and country, make sure they're not coming from restricted country.

Even stake the top and no.1 crypto casino from my perspective now asking user to passed KYC before they can access and deposit.

Back to the topic, KYC only request in some condition and user cannot put KYC first. Since really not good in user side, I agree with @OP cause we know some bullshit case (casino ask KYC) user to buy some time.

If a casino wants to prevent you from withdrawing your funds with the intention to scam, completing KYC up front will not prevent this. They could come up with a new request like proof of funds or just simply put an accusation on the account that it broke one of their rules.

It doesn't hurt to attempt to do KYC in advance and may be accepted by some websites, but it should not give any security or assurance that funds will be withdrawn when requested.

I agree, they should not have a problem with KYC verification in advance.  I get it - It is not standard practice for all gambling sites, and some customers can be wary of providing too much personal info upfront.  But for a big platform like FortuneJack, it does seem reasonable to ask for that extra layer of security.

Maybe start by kindly explaining why you want to verify your identity in advance.  Say you are planning to use the site more seriously and want to deposit and withdraw substantial sums and  so going through KYC now would save hassle later.  If they still resist, you could highlight how it builds trust in their brand if users know FortuneJack takes security and compliance seriously.

Bottom line - be persistent but polite.  Frame it as helping them improve business operations.  If the support folk still say no ask to speak to a manager for a second opinion.  This seems one of those rare cases where politely escalating the issue might pay off.

Personally, I don't see it as a weird practice that I want to do KYC when the casino didn't ask for it because I know someday the casino will ask for it when I win big so to cut down that stress I should be given the opportunity to do KYC verification at my own time not at the casino's own time.

I know that the FortuneJack does not see any reason for him to do KYC verification in advance , but they should just allow him to free his mind with gambling in their casino, or have they encountered any problem that a customer did KYC without the casino asking for it. Just guessing why it cannot be allowed by casinos.

Hey, this isn't blackjack or blackjack.fun. Anyway, you can edit it after reading my post. It's kinda off topic if you're referring to blackjack.fun.

If I understand correctly OP wants to get verified even though he hasn't requested a withdrawal. Maybe OP you can try to withdraw at least small amount, which might trigger a KYC request. That’s what happened to me on FortuneJack before I managed to get verified. I request for withdrawal then they told me to KYC 1st for me able to withdraw.

It’s not weird, it’s just that a lot of gambler tend not to do it, they prefer gambling and using a site for as long as they can without having to go through the kyc process. I personally, like the idea of first verifying your account before making use of a site if you know you want to bet huge amount but if you know you don’t want to bet any huge amount then, no need just go on and use it until they request you to verify your account.

Just like others have mentioned Op, if they refused to let you verify your account before making use of it then scan through the gambling board, you’ll see other reputable sites that will allow you under advance verification before using their site - but take not that they could also revoke it and ask for recertification if they ever suspect you of engaging in any shady practices.

It is not weird. The first foreign gambling site that I used, I got verified before I deposited money. I still remember the day very well and the place I was when I was trying to get verified.

He can use Stake.com. I like Stake because it will let you get verified before you can deposit.

Yeah, exactly.  I don't know how things are exactly at Fortune Jack, but it's known that the lowest level of customer support sometimes only provides canned responses without thoroughly investigating the problem.

but i get it if i win too much they will ask kyc and more shitty documents like cloudbet and others did to me in the past

Though, if we're talking about an account being flagged, severity does depend on each case hence there's still an off chance a casino could require more regardless of whether you're kyced or nah. For instance, proof of source of funds/deposit could depend on on a particular transaction/s you made thus does not necessarily mean one time submission. Of couse, there's a chance you played on a scummy casino as well.

Sounds like you're in complicated situation, it's true that most casino don't ask KYC in advance only after you request withdrawals for a certain amount. While your concern is somewhat reasonable but you can't force a casino to change its policy regarding KYC. So either you follow them (asking KYC) or change casino at the very least.

Asking for KYC in advance is a weird practice, is the first time I see a user trying it. But I feel like every casino should let their users to KYC their accounts before making a deposito, that way the user will build trust.

Maybe other casino let you do it, you should try with the most popular casinos.

It's not a weird practice at all. All online casinos that use license actually ask it in advance these days. Crypto casinos operate differently I guess and that's why I use them, because the traditional ones actually don't let me gamble.

I think the license jurisdiction is what makes it different hence why I only gamble crypto now.

So OP needs to understand, crypto casinos actually prefer not to KYC you unless they really have to. It costs them money and they don't need to do it for most customers. That said, if you can kyc easily, you shouldn't need to worry.

There are still many of them that are licensed but will not request for KYC from you. There are some of the casinos that will not even ask their customers to be verified unless they are suspecting something about the person.  Also there are some casinos that makes KYC compulsory but they will not ask unless the person wants to withdraw. This later one is very bad but common in casinos.

I do find it kind of weird that they'd reject a KYC verification when the gambler themselves is the one requesting it. I wonder what their reason is for rejecting your request to undergo KYC.

I am not supporting Fortunejack here, but to be honest, I think that the reason they don’t undergo advance KYC is that it will cost them additional time and labor work. KYC are processed manually at many casinos; hence, the work load for them will increase. They also don’t know whether the user will make a big deposit or not; hence, they don’t want to waste the time and labor on doing KYC verification. If the user makes some shady moves while betting, or if they want to find the source of the deposit, then only they will ask for the KYC. So, OP, if you don’t have any issues with either of the conditions, then deposit, and if they ask for KYC, then go for the process. It’s very simple and easy.
