From day one on their face off, Berlanga is always on fire, even mocking Canelo. This is understandable; this is his first world title shot and he is against the pound-for-pound fighter of our times, while Canelo is very relaxed. its like another day in the office for him because this is his 26th title fight.

Berlanga should be very careful into thinking that he can take out Canelo like what he has been saying in every press conference, Canelo is very good at sizing his opponents; he knows when is the right time to take over and take out his opponent.

Canelo is a massive favorite in this fight, a 25-1 favorite at BetMGM Sportsbook Whatever Berlanga says to convince people that he will knock out Canelo they are not buying it,  the discrepancies is just too wide

Canelo feels extremely confident in the second middleweight division and his last loss to Bivol was at featherweight, so tonight Berlanga should have a one in the loss column and I think Canelo will finish this fight by knockout because he is more experienced, stronger and his defensive skills in this weight class are extremely great. I think Berlanga can be saved in this fight only by a lucky punch, but even in that case he should still try to knock out Canelo, which is still an extremely difficult task.

In the other event between McCumby and Plant I only get to see the highlights I thought Plant was going to lose the fight because he was knockdown in the 4th round, This McCumby is very tough; he was a huge underdog but until the round 5 he was doing good until Plant using his vast experience, skill and power went to business and stopped McCumby in the 9th round.

He is now the interim WBA Super Middleweight, and hopefully he will return as a champion; he still has it to become a champion.

This is a professor teaching a student how to do things perfectly, It was a hard lesson for Berlanga but now he knows what it takes to fight someone who has a flawless style.

Honestly, I don't want this kind of fight again, Canelo made it look so easy against low-level fighters; its time for him to silence the bashers and critics by fighting the likes of Benavidez or Crawford.

It’s called complete domination. I had a feeling it was just another cherry-picked fight for Canelo, and as usual, it turned out to be one-sided. Canelo won by unanimous decision, which was good but not impressive to me since his power punches seemed to be missing. A knockout would have been better.

I only watched the highlights, so I didn’t see the full fight. For those who followed the fight, did Canelo mention anything about his next fight? Is he willing to accept a big fight that could excite the fans, instead of another expected one-sided result?

Berlanga is tough, but it just bring the best of Canelo here, and again, like in the Munguia fight, he knockdown the young man but didn't finished him and put up a clinic in the championship round. And It will be ok for Berlanga to suffer a defeat against the hand of Canelo. But think of this as lessons learn for him and he will improved for sure whether in 168 lbs or 175 lbs.

Canelo has always been good at presenting himself and that was evident back when he was a golden boy and for good reason he was considered the most profitable fighter for De La Hoya's company for a very long time.
As for Crawford, it can be seen that he also does not want to move to another weight class and still fights in the weights up to 69 kg, and Canelo acts in the weight class of 77 kg and to meet them it is necessary or Crawford to move through several weight categories up or Canelo on the contrary to go down in the weight category of Crawford, but the same Crawford does not feel so confident beyond 69 kg, which showed his last fight. So it's not all obvious, just like with Bivol, who is heavier than Canelo and in their fight it was obvious that Canelo doesn't feel very good at welterweight and lacks power, unlike Bivol.

I was actually worried I'd lost my Over 9.5 bet when Berlanga was downed with an easy short left hook. Surely, you were also at the edge of your seat until the final bell was rung.

I guess it was a two-way scenario. Canelo was obviously in the decline and Berlanga was too conscious of his legendary opponent that he was always defensive from round 1 until the end.

People would quit saying Canelo is cherry-picking when he faces Bivol next especially if Bivol prevails over Beterbiev.

I think it makes total sense to drop the PPV price now, especially since illegal streams are so easy to access. Yeah, i'm on the edge on my seat especially on round three, cheering that Berlanga would stand and finish the fight which fortunately he did hehe.

That was a one-sided affair but kudos to Edgar Berlanga for surviving the fight which most of the boxing fans thought that hw would not last six rounds.

My gut tells me that Canelo will face Crawford next and not Bivol or Benavidez as these are fights that are difficult to win hehe.

Think that Canelo is going easy way again? I was thinking, that after a declass against Bivol, Canelo needed to rebuild reputation, maybe get some confidence. He had some easy opponents after Bivol, and I suppose it is time for him to get a real deal. On the other hand, look on his division. He has fought nearly everyone decent. Who should he face next if he wants to improve? Fighting guys like Berlanga is just building win record and fulfilming contract duties. He urgently needs to face top opponents of other divisions. Or it will be boring to watch him winning another young blood.

I was surprised that it was price at $90.00, I think that's expensive and with so many streamers offering it for free, I wouldn't be surprised that the numbers of PPV is going to continue to drop, unless Canelo is going to fight Bivol or Benavidez next.

Going back to the fight, I think almost everyone here (including myself), has a good bet on Canelo to win by decision. I already had this in mind, the over 8.5 rounds and then Canelo by decision win.
