I don't know how this casino scam has my email.
Would you happen to know if your email address has been a part of a data breach before? otherwise try at https://haveibeenpwned.com/ perhaps the casino has bought an email list or if you have a common email combination that some generators may pick up 🤔 --- just some guesses lol. It doesn't appear like someone else tried to register an account using your email either as you would have received an email confirmation/verification first and not a deposit notification. Nevertheless, this doesn't look good for the casino in question.

This is clearly a fraud, usually the fraudsters will send to random emails, who knows where they got the email from, is it from another casino database leaking? Even I always ignore unclear messages and never what I do.
I have developed the habit of treating almost every message which finds it way into the spam box as potential scam most especially for a one that I have no idea about me doing anything to have warranted receiving such notifications or message from only God knows where. At times it could happen that these data may be leaked from other casinos we have registered with long time ago and have closed down business and without wiping off their database some intruder had gained access to sell those data's to fraudsters who are now randomly sending such scam messages to prey on a victim.

I think they only used the term Lottery there because I also received the same scheme of E-mail but they used a different subject that time. The message is funny because it is said that the Queen is dying and now wants to find a person that will inherit his wealth, LMAO. I think no sane person will fall for this cheap trick.
Now in terms of security between the online casinos and the Lotteries, I'd say it depends. If we are talking about the offline Lotteries, then no doubt that they are more trusted since they are always backed by the Government and the Charity Organizations but when it comes to online ones, it's clear that online casinos can win here.
I guess this is also due to their massive numbers. With the number online crypto casinos have, it is easy for us to get familiarize ourselves even on some of them. So far I only know one online Lottery that I can say trusted and it was found in the forum. The thing is, I forgot its name for now Xd.
There is also a Lottery game in 8bet but it's not dedicated for it, since they also have Slots games, Scratch Cards, and others.
I am not affiliated with them but I can say that they are legit as well, since they are not new in this game anymore and then I already won a couple of times on them.

I totally agree with your point. The interesting and a bit confusing part about such scam emails is how they include ridiculous details, like the Queen needing an heir to her fortune, to lure people. I viewed it as a testament to how abstract and obvious these systems can be. A sensible person should not fall for such obvious fraud anytime. But if I were to take about safety and such, things might become a little bit more contextual if I were to compare online casinos vs. lotteries. Online lotteries are generally much more reliable due to regulation and sponsorship that comes from government agencies and charities, which often adds an element of credibility. On the other hand, as much as online casinos may provide advanced security features, any online site really depends on its legitimacy and reputation. As a result, even though lotteries on the Internet might be more secure in terms of government supervision, properly regulated online casinos had a good reputation.

So far I have never received any notification regarding messages in the spam folder on behalf of gambling sites, but for the promotional section of my email there are several messages stating some of the benefits or bonuses they offer. It just that all of those are messages that were indeed sent by the official account of the gambling site that I have been using, there is no indication of fraud or anything suspicious especially from various sites that I have never used. Moreover, not all of my emails are used and connected to gambling, I use special email for gambling and I never open it for every incoming message, usually I look at the notification first and only open it if it is considered important enough. But so far there have indeed been various fraud attempts carried out by certain parties on behalf of gambling sites and they send various unreasonable statements via email.

I gets almost the same email as you telling me that I receive money from someone but then I realizes that is just a scam that use different models. Maybe many emails like that already scam many people so we must be careful when receiving email like that and not directly trust with what is written in that email. Many scamming story started because we can not be careful and research about the email and we forget that scam email can be like anything that will tempts and attract us to follow the instruction.
If that email is in your spam folder, you don't have to thinks much about that because your email provider can filter which email that will be potentially to be a scam for you. Online casino can gives the same risks as offline casino especially if we can't research of what we see. Many people already get scam from many things so that is why we must be careful.

Has anyone had a different experience, particularly with online crypto casinos?
Well I would say I have not had such from online crypto casino but I have had such from some gambling site. Most of this type of message is liable to be scam and I would say you should just ignore it. If it where to be a real kind of stuff, they will have notify you in the online casino app, then from hence you can continue with the process or you may even chat them live or you can call the customer support centre. But in this case all I can say is for you to ignore it, because it is obviously a scam attempt.

Gmail already recognised it as spam which is good, I have not visited my spam folder for a very long time because I have no business going there maybe it could be why I have not received this kind of emails. I think online casinos are more secure because they value your trust as if you do not trust them, you can not use or refer them to your friends. They would not sell out our emails to scammers because if the scammers successful get our information and were capable of accessing our accounts, they are still the ones to be held accountable. The worst set of people that I think sell out our emails are the airdrop project that we participants in or other micro tasks we do on the internet that needs our email for us to stay up to date with any new information about that project, they are the worst.

Those scammers were extremely dumb(or maybe the scammer is only one). Is this "Gambling Commission" even a real thing? I've never received such emails in my spam folder. Maybe you could start a conversation with this scammer and waste his time(this is called scambaiting). Anyway, your post has little to do with the "security of online casinos". Most online casinos are secure, when it comes to not getting hacked or something, but they could easily scam their customers, which makes them not so secure.

Yes, spam folder should not be visited very often, but I will tell you that there are casinos that sometimes their email to us went to spam folder. Recently I had registered to a new one and I keep on waiting for the code in my email until I found out that it was send to my email folder. Nevertheless, it's very hard to understand why our emails might turn out to be using by this spammers and scammers. So it's hard to imagine that maybe some casinos are selling it? I highly doubt it as their security with regards to the protection of their client are extremely high.

I only wonder why you provided them your email address which matters. I never do such things and use for casinos one of my numerous "anonymous" emails which I almost never check. ( Rare checks commonly resulted in deletion of all content in all boxes (no matter whether it is a spam one or some others). The letter you have received is certainly the fishing one. I'm sure the most casinos' data bases are already leaked.

If you don't provide mail how then do you signed up or do you use mobile number to get registered? That is if you are saying that it then means that shouldn't had used a regular mail than spare mail to signup right, Okay I know is good having spare mail but still there are some messages that happen to move to spam box which I know those mail aren't useful it could be promotional mail. Op shouldn't take whatever mail into account but I love what he did to have at least share here for people to know whether it's real or not.

I've noticed that online casinos are much more secure compared to lotteries, you almost never receive scam emails like this one from an online casino.
That is a reality and not just to your experience. The fact is that lottery is a gaming prize which winners are taken unaware even without expectation that your tickets is a goal for the draw. It is shuffled by the lottery conductors and then after, the winner is notified which gives it a room for scammers to invade in by contacting their targets. So you were able to find them being fake when they sent you the mail unknowingly to them that you don't participate in lottery games. In gambling, you would have to play and expect winning in a specific time of which you can also keep you games on track to know your faith if staked on live games which by yourself you can detect if you won or lost and the casinos has no need to contacting you for your wins.

I have never received an email coming from a casino where I am playing that has that kind of offer which is obviously trying to scam you; the emails I receive usually come from Yandex like the one you just received and Gmail, you can question if the emails that were being used were coming from the casino's domain like support@casino.com but if it comes from Gmail it comes from low-level scammers who are looking for a newbie to scam. Its better to ignore emails with heading that you won or qualified to receive millions this is a scam attempts and this has been happening since the advent of email.

It is very rare to check the spam folder because you already know the contents of the message from gmail are mostly about fraud, sometimes I check, I don't understand starting from getting an unclear lottery, someone sent goods, then winning a large amount from this unclear casino all go into the spam folder box.
This is clearly a fraud, usually the fraudsters will send to random emails, who knows where they got the email from, is it from another casino database leaking? Even I always ignore unclear messages and never what I do.
On a norms having seen such message in my Spam folder should give me assurance that it's highly scammed messages, cause most cases of finding messages in Spam folder 99% fall as being scam,so when u see such I don't really freak out and I haven't gotten such email before and again casinos are bent on protecting the privacy of their clients so I think getting any information from such sites could be you have probably logged or entered a wrong a scammed sites and at such ur details are open to them to send such messages to you. But sometimes their are some recommendations emails we get, you'll definitely find them in your spam folder,so like I said earlier 99% of messages found in spam folder are usually scam but the 1% falls to be true and legit.

On Jul 30th, I received this email below. I did't know about it until I checked my spam folder. Unit 2 Tolpits Lane Watford, WD18 9RN United Kingdom Attention: Beneficiary. You have been approved to receive a compensation fund of £ 500,000.00 British Pound as one of the scam victims who qualified for the 2024 annual program organized by Camelot National Lottery Group United Kingdom. Your reference numbers are: XVX189298. Send your full name and address, reference number, mobile number, occupation, age. to the following email address: onwardfen1965@yandex.com Faithfully, Mr. Andrew Caswell Gambling Commission Chief Executive As I was about to delete it, I realized that throughout my years of gambling, I've noticed that online casinos are much more secure compared to lotteries, you almost never receive scam emails like this one from an online casino. That's been my personal experience. Has anyone had a different experience, particularly with online crypto casinos? I almost receive these kind of messages in all the possible ways like SMS, messenger, whatsapp, email and anything we can name but the actual thing is I know it's just complete scam and really very old technique to trap people and pay some money for whatever information they collected from you and your device by infecting will malware. Only thing will be, there is no such company as they mentioned or it came from random email so just skip anything like this and you can be serious if you only recieved from official email which they might have mentioned in their website.

That email is not from a gambling site, it is from a scammer. I have registered on many crypto gambling sites that have announcement thread on this forum but non of them are disturbing me with email messages. Most of them did not even send email message at all.
Yes, I know it is 100% from a scammer. Although I do get emails from some of the gambling sites about withdrawal requests and all I have never gotten any sort of promotional emails from them. They would rather send it to your account in the gambling website. And it is easy to see in the notification section. I have an email account specifically for gambling though I may have connected it to a couple of non gambling stuff as well lol but I rarely receive scam emails compared to my general crytpo email accounts. Then again, the latter are much older and have more services connected which pretty sure played a part.
My key takeaway from here is to have a dedicated email for gambling related activities. I use more than one emails for different gambling sites and it is difficult to tracked where issues like this originates from. Well you just have to ask yourself whether it was from the casino's that you have sign up? Or maybe your email has been on the list here? ( https://haveibeenpwned.com/). Unless you are really sure that your one email is just solely used to register to casinos. And if that is the case then you should go and try to look what casinos might have been 'compromised' to get your email address. Hey bud, thank you for sharing this important website. I found only one breach and it is not from an casino or lottery. However, thank you it is going to be so important to me.

Withdrawal email is normal. But if you do not want to get the email again, you can go for the 2FA on the gambling site. Many gambling sites on this forum has 2FA feature. My key takeaway from here is to have a dedicated email for gambling related activities. The reason I am using just one email is because I do not save my gambling site account password anywhere. I only click on forgot password to set another password and access the gambling site if I have forgotten the password. Having different emails for each gambling site will make this difficult for me because I can forget the email that I used to register on a gambling site.

Yea, this is another valid reason to use just one email address for all gambling related activities. Convenience and stress free. Unfortunately, I don't think I can change emails on the other gambling sites to just one. I'll do this on new gambling sites going forward.
