Why are people interested in investing in altcoins rather than Bitcoin?

Recently I have heard from some newbies that they are more interested in investing in altcoin than Bitcoin. They think that investing in altcoins will make them more profitable. So Bitcoin can not be more profitable? Is it possible to earn more profit from altcoin?

It's just for me, and I observed that if you invest in Bitcoin for the long term or during this bull run that we are waiting for, it is only possible that it will only increase 5x during this entire bull season. For example, if you have $100 to sell now, your capital will only be multiplied by 5x.

But if you invest in altcoins, you can get more profit than that, especially if you invest in meme coins, if you are sure that you will follow the rise of Bitcoin when it also rallies in the market in the future. This is the only thing I have seen that is actually attainable, in my opinion.

There are no other reasons behind that because cryptocurrency are essentially useful when it comes to anonymity, decentralization and offer a service in digital world. But, there are many offline project that create their own native token for crowdfunding, a way for foreigners to donate or participate the project.

Of course. Altcoins bring "easy money". Especially "meme" coins. Most people these days want to "get rich quick", so they will choose altcoins on top of Bitcoin. Even if 99% of the altcoins are centralized and unreliable "shitcoins". No matter how big altcoins grow, they will never be able to beat Bitcoin. It's not about what shiny-new features a coin has, or how profitable it is. But rather, how useful and reliable it is. BTC may be slow and expensive at times, but it's the best cryptocurrency in the world in terms of decentralization and censorship-resistance. It's also the one with the highest merchant adoption in the world.

Those who want a solid long-term investment, will choose BTC over alts anytime. It's even better than Gold. With how quick the crypto market moves, I wouldn't be surprised if new altcoins replace existing ones in the future. Lets carry on, shall we?

actually, so many of people prefer investing in BTC because they consider it as legit crypto and the other as just some scam which honestly fair enough judgement considering so many altcoin ended up as a shitty coin after a while.

the people with big money will always stick with BTC though at the end of the day, no risk of getting rugged or delisting, it's just pure risk of volatility only that's why even institutional investors and fund management are allocating some portion of their investment portfolio to bitcoin because they understand the risk and how liquid bitcoin market is.

so the statement that many people are interested in investing altcoin isn't really true, even BTC dominance is significantly higher than alts combined.

Altcoin is more profitable but also riskier. Saving in Bitcoin will secure your money and it is almost impossible for Bitcoin value to go to 0. But saving in altcoin you risk losing half or even 99% of your money if there is a rugpull on your altcoin. And if you are lucky you can get altcoin with profit up to 100% in a few months. This is the same as what happened to Manta, Render, Worldcoin, Meme Project and several other altcoins.

Investing in bitcoin and altcoins is equally profitable, but for beginners it is easier to understand altcoins than bitcoin. as the price of bitcoin is too expensive, it cannot be reached by beginners apart from depending on certain altcoins, it is not as imagined that investing in altcoins will make bigger profits without being good at reset methods and strong analysis. Basically, Bitcoin or altcoin are almost the same, you can invest in them depending on your insight in understanding them, in making decisions, but for beginners, altcoins are definitely their choice, because they show great potential in price growth that can be chosen depending on market developments, even though there are risks when choosing them.
