Bitcoin is alredy a very high capped coin and moving it significantly on bull to get a x2 would be difficult. x5 or x10 is unimaginable with bitcoin for coming years. In case of altcoins, x5, x10 or even x100 is not a pipe dream. It is achievable as the market cap is low. A sudden interest would propel the price multiple times. So, the basic reason is the chances of getting a larger profit.
Another is emotional factor at play, whether it be not be missing like the bitcoin rise or the desire to have multiple coins. People who have missed bitcoins early rising phase envy bitcoin for that. They want to jump into something that could beat the bitcoin's success.

Even though altcoin investment gives more short-term profit than bitcoin, I want you to know that there is nothing like bitcoin in this space. It's just for me, and I observed that if you invest in Bitcoin for the long term or during this bull run that we are waiting for, it is only possible that it will only increase 5x during this entire bull season. For example, if you have $100 to sell now, your capital will only be multiplied by 5x.

But if you invest in altcoins, you can get more profit than that, especially if you invest in meme coins, if you are sure that you will follow the rise of Bitcoin when it also rallies in the market in the future. This is the only thing I have seen that is actually attainable, in my opinion.
