I become a victim of gambling addiction way back one dice game is still the most popular games on crypto casino. I barely took some sleep since I use bot that time to make a bet for me while I apply different strategies to get profit.

I manage to snap out of addiction after busting tons of bankroll. Those losses gives me fear to stop gambling for good and bet responsibly which I can apply until now.

Addiction means when you feel dependent on an activity including gambling, and maybe I will also admit that I am one of the gamblers who was previously trapped in a cycle of addiction where I really could not spend a single moment without gambling, and when I have some money then usually the first thing I think about is gambling, thinking about multiplying the money several times over, and believe me that when you are in that cycle then every time you will feel tension and worry due to problems in your finances.

Often I spend 90% of my income just to gamble or pay debts, and I have even sold several times some of my valuables such as my vehicle and my wife's jewelry, it was terrible.

But in the end I am very grateful that now I have managed to get out of that cycle, and I will say that something that makes you addicted is because of the interest and very high expectations of winning, I realized that when I took the time to meditate for some time.

In the end I decided to eliminate all access that I had that led to gambling, such as blocking all local bank accounts that I had and limiting myself with gambling environments such as some friends who were involved in gambling, in this way little by little I could eliminate my interest in gambling until I finally lost interest completely, and I knew that when I was not interested at all and did not feel curious when I saw one of my friends who was gambling.
Maybe there are some important points that you can take from my experience, my friend, and I will say that the real victory is when you can stop completely.

I didn't get addicted to gambling but I had a very close friend with such issue.
How he get on this issue? Well, probably, there are several factors involved....

- money needed = gamblers believe that is really easy win 1000 USD with a penny bet...
- doesn't understand statistics behind gambling = if you don't know how to manage it... you are in big troubles
- a lot of interactions with others "problematic gamblers"
- sometimes he wins bets "casually". this lead to a disaster since most of the time he is just picking the odds and not the event...
- " close to win " ... each parlay is wrong for just a couple of goals so he is doing great it's just matter of time....
- no discipline. no budget. no math approach, just binge-gambling ....

For me it started when I had a side hustle that really pays me well, even doubling what I got from my usual job and I would say that it's easy work for me. And this is like 10-11 years ago. And with that extra money that I have and then a cousin of my wife who come back home wanted to play in a casino, so we with her. However, that one mistake to go to land base casino really hook me up to gamble for the next couple of years with that extra income I'm getting.

But we all know that sooner or later, this side hustle has to end and so with that, with no money coming or at least my regular job pays is just for my family to bring food in the table, I have no choice but to somewhat stop my gambling addiction.

As for me, I have never been addicted to gambling. I have gambled many times and won very few, but mostly lost. I do not know why people are addicted to gambling? I used to gamble for fun, but gambling for fun means losing money, so now I don't like gambling for fun. In fact, people who are addicted to gambling are greedy, they think they will win a lot of money one day by gambling, so they gamble again and again hoping to win a lot of money and become addicted. So never be greedy in gambling, don't gamble in hopes of winning lots of money, best you stay away from gambling.

A quick way to figure out if you are addicted to gambling or not is to think if you have a 100$ note (an example), would you be willing to save it or spend all of it in gambling at the same time? If you care for money more than gambling, you would only bet/gamble with the portion of the amount and hence you are not addicted. If you do not care for the money, and go all in with your gambling portfolio, more chances are that you are addicted to gambling.

As far as I am concerned, I don't consider myself addicted as yet as I care for the money i possess and use common sense in gambling

It all started with ambition and also goals that were too high for expectations to be able to achieve more wins and make gambling place to make extra money.
Intensity of gambling increased significantly and no matter how much money was used because basically all that was in the brain was trying to keep betting and winning the game or bet that I liked.
That was all the reason I was addicted to gambling, but after series of problems with finances and the destruction of work or business because I prioritized gambling too much, I realized that what I was doing was big mistake.
I have family and have to be able to fix everything, from everything that has happened, thoughts began to emerge to learn and be able to control myself to return to the right path and only make gambling place to entertain myself.
In my opinion, someone who is married and has clear mindset can find it much easier to overcome addiction problems and heal themselves because family is everything.

That story will be a dark story for those who already get addicted in gambling but they can cure their gambling addiction. I have my gambling addiction and that is the bad things that I experienced before but I am glad that I can cure myself even with having a trouble to solve the gambling addiction problem. All these are correct. But it is good for all gamblers to know that before they should gamble, they should be able to feed themselves and their family with their weekly income in a way his wife and the children will be satisfied and also be able to provide all necessary needs of the family. Also it is good to know that if having enough money, the percentage of money needed for responsible gambling should not be more than 1% of his weekly income. That is enough to know how discipline he is in gambling.

Personally and I also believe this to be the case for many other gamblers the start of it is when we win big the first time from instant result games like slot machines,roulette or blackjack.I doubt anyone would become addicted by playing sport betting or poker when the games of sport are in certain time schedule and the same schedule can be seen in different tournaments when playing online.The form of addiction in offline poker can be the same as online gambling in slots as you can go anytime in a physical casino and join a table.In the end as I said the start of addiction is when we first hit it big making us wanting more.

My addiction to gambling is all because of bitcointalk (aside from myself, of course). Know why? Every day, I had to go to bitcointalk to advertise my bitcointalk signature space and post on the gambling board. Then, here you go, you see the online casino the same one I'm advertising in my signature then tempting me to gamble. I just wanted to have some fun, but once you start enjoying gambling, that's it—you can't stop it anymore. Not gonna lie, if I hadn't discovered Bitcointalk I probably wouldn't be a gambler now. I played Slots on the Domino High Island app, and it made me unable to stop.
With a coin system that can be obtained for free every day (but it won't be enough) I started making deposits to buy coins to keep playing,
and eventually it would just run out, although there were some jackpots that I got, but not big enough.

That was the starting point, I felt addicted to slot games so that I could spend more money to buy coins and continue playing without any strategy.

Looking at the people around me, they also spend more money in vain without making anything.
In the end, addicted people will only end up with a lot of losses and regrets in the end because they have no goals and expect too many big wins.

Maybe I am a bit of addicted to gambling in the past after I realizes that I am a little difficult to get away from gambling. I am trying to do more activities to block my minds thinking about gambling. It is not easy but I must do that because if not, I can lose all of my money.

With doing many activities, I really successful reduce my gambling activity and not thinks about gambling too often. I feels that my day becomes more busy and I don't have time just to playing gambling even for only 10 minutes. But I am happy with that because I only playing gambling if I want.

Releasing gambling addiction is not easy because you need to have a strong will to realizes and want to set you free from the minds of thinking of gambling. Every people can do that and although it is not easy, you must keep trying for yourself. Playing gambling occasionally will be fine but not play gambling too often and keeps your limitation.

I use to be addicted to gambling away my entire signatures campaign earnings before, and this effected my financial life alot because I always feel empty at the end of each week, when I lost my pay on either sport bets on dice, and when I realise that I was gradually becoming addicted, I decided to check out what the cause could be and I later discovered that.

It is very easy to fall into gambling addiction when there is a constant inflow of money. It is even worse when the individual has no heavy financial responsibility such as a family. If the person lives a sedentary life, that is even a perfect avenue for the individual to kill boredom and loneliness. They are all a potent ingredients to produce a individual who will be addicted to gambling for a very long time to come. The most easy way to overcome it is to do what you have done - financial responsibility. Have a gambling budget and stick with it. The rule of thumb is 5% of your income. Get actively involved in other activities, like a hobby that involves other people. It helps a lot. All these things doesn't happen in a day, week, month but if the person will determined they will beat it.

That's the important thing... Family needs must be met so as not to cause problems, especially if the family has a reserve fund so that in any condition they can be safe with their reserve funds.

I would consider it wrong to think of his own desire to gamble while he does not care about the family, in other words, the gambler may think that playing gambling can multiply his money but this method is a big mistake.

Still for me gambling must be from the remaining money, meaning that all needs are met and there is still some left over then please use it but never 1% is right even though the remaining money is still a lot we must be able to control it. This is part of discipline too.

Not a personal story of me, but during several years I lived with a close family member who developed a serious addiction for dices. As with the majority of cases of addiction, it started in a very subtle way: he started by trying the game with small amounts, earning some bucks before he slowly started to increase his wager and the amounts of hours he dedicated to the game itself.  He reached a point in which he would spend the whole night trying to earn money from rolling dices and screaming at 3 am everytime he lost or won an important percentage of his bankroll.
Fortunately, he eventually completely quit dices after he lost enough to realize it was not way for him to win consistently, I don't know what he did to quit his addiction so easily, as to this day he has not fallen again for any urge to continue to roll dices for money, actually, he advices anyone he knows not to engage with dices or gambling in general.

I assume losing enough money was like a wake up call for him.

Just like you even I was fortunate enought not to get addicted to gambling as others have mentioned.
I was able to control my emotions since beginning since I used to play within my budget.
I was afraid to lose a big amount and so I never deposited a very huge amount that I couldn't afford to lose.
This kept me playing with small bets and so I never got addicted to gambling.
