The OP, perhaps even unknowingly, answered his own question. When gambling was just occasional fun and enjoyment of games, he had nice winnings, but as soon as he raised the stakes and started pushing too much thinking only of profit, he started losing more often and winning much less. Wanting more is pure greed, and in most cases when we are greedy we lose .

I don't believe that there is any gambler who hasn't felt something like that... and it especially comes to the fore when we deposit money and when we double/triple/sometimes we get even much more than that. And instead of withdrawing the money and that profit, we continue gambling and in 95% of cases we lose both the profit and our initial deposit.

We learn as we live, and it's pretty hard to circumvent some stupid moves we make in gambling. But what we get is experience, and if we are smart we will not get into some traps again... or at least not so often. How do you know that things changed after you deciding it can be a good career?

I bet you took few bets with big money that leads to loss streak and ended up you in debt or something while previously you just bet small amount so either you lose you still got the potential to bet again.

I think it is most likely not intentionally changed by a gambler, but because gamblers are unable to ignore the various temptations they see until they finally leave the initial plan for a new goal, namely gambling to produce lots of wins, and I think that most likely it happened without the person realizing it because they were trapped and carried away by the current as time went on.

Beginner seeing his first winnings in gambling immediately tries to withdraw it, because he has not experienced such an experience. For him, money is much more important than the process of gambling.
