Investing should be distinguished from gambling. "Investing" in some alt(shit) coins is like gambling with very high odds. yes, sometimes someone is really lucky and wins, but such wins are in a very small percentage.

What you just explained is in line with one of principals of investment, "high risk high return". It might sounds cliché, but somehow there are a lot of people failed to fully understands what are the risk, especially in investing their money on altcoin, and just highlighting the "high return" part, because there are a lot of people just following the trend in cryptocurrency and too eager in making as much profits as they could based on what they have seen in various social medias where people are showing off their portfolio in daily basis..

It is true that high risk yields high returns, but sometimes it doesn’t work on altcoins especially if you didn’t do research and end up investing on altcoins that have no future, you will definitely lose money if you ignorantly invest on shitcoin.

Bitcoin investment is the best crypto investment one can think off if they are not willing to gamble for high money return within short period of time.

but, isn't  far more trickier if we want to invest in altcoin such as shitcoin and memecoin? I mean, this is the best way to earn highest return in social media, I got some friends who gain more than twice than what they were invested, but in a short time the price is flopped drastically, they God they were able to sold all their coins before that happened. I mean yes, fundamnetally Bitcoin price has impact in all altcoins, that's why knowledge about BTC itself is very useful, but when it comes to memecoin, it is far trickier.

You wouldn't tell people not to put their money anywhere they want. Some of them are willing to take the risk of gaining big or losing big. Many investors are not patient enough to hodl Bitcoin for a long time, so they prefer to gamble with some shitcoins in a bid to get short term profit.

This is just so simple, you can only suggest to people on a better option which you feel can be trusted when it comes to cryptocurrency investment and for sure Bitcoin remain the best among other cryptocurrencies due to it's life span and the proven track records but the choices are their for the investor to make given that a lot of people has had huge profit investing in alternative cryptocurrency and shitcoins as such they would always try to risk it no matter what the outcome come will be. Personally I consider shitcoin investment as a Ponzi system of investment because it kills faster than death and it gives profit wittin a short period of time also.

Altcoin investment losses can kill faster for those who choose to be greedy in investing in altcoins with their hard-earned money, not with their spare money, and on that, they are aiming to hodl their altcoin investment for the long term.

Altcoin investment has given rise to many people becoming millionaires in the short term, and it has made people lose their lives out of the shock of lost investment because they chose to hold their altcoin for the long term, having an unimaginable price at heart.

I agree with you that the percentage is smaller than the outfit that is obtained, there is more loss than profit, only a certain amount to get a large income, even if you really always monitor the movement of market prices, unlike Bitcoin which wants whatever the results are the same, even the income will reverse the initial capital invested, at least look for something better than buying results and later it is not a profit that is obtained but a loss, that's why many people avoid investing in Altcoin because the many affordable prices make many victims of their investment losses in Altcoin.

Altcoins are really suicidal, TBH on the name of reliability I don't prefer any kind of investment in other coins not even in ETH but yup I consider ETH as a good investment opportunity with a lower risk, still there was something called LUNA haha which became the trust of many people and people made heavy investments even by taking loans and ended up by losing their lives in depression. From that I'm on the idle side don't fall into affection with any coins except Bitcoin.

TBH I'm not very strict on alts as I like taking risks under control but when it comes to the Bitcoin discussion section haha I feel like it's degrading Bitcoin's worth, It comes altcoin section which I mostly don't visit for a long time on this forum there we can discuss some of the gains and potential risks as well. Having a small portion of your portfolio in alts is not a big deal as far as it's not affecting your accumulation of Bitcoin because, at the end of the day, it's Bitcoin that is getting stronger not the shit alts where you've invested for the unrealistic gains.

Edit: If you've made a decent gain in altcoins or shit coins get your ass out of it and don't even think of getting back into that shit n greed instead of that delete your trading app and going for sleep for a short walk and eat something haha to control yourself because mostly people those who make some money from alts start believing in alts and gets a hard hit even by losing profit with investment funds.

Bitcoin would continue to remain the best coin for investment regardless of it's volatility or how high any of those alts get, they stand no chance against Bitcoin, new investors shouldn't be starting their Cryptocurrency journey with Alts, it's like setting death trap for a child before he's birthed.
 The best step to take is starting with the best (Bitcoin) study it, make sure you're knowledgeable enough then invest gradually and accumulate more when you're making progress then when you're gearing close to the level of a whale you can choose to diversify (not really necessary) instead accumulate more and more.

Indeed getting involved in other coins other than Bitcoin is suicidal and Many people are ready to commit it, many people may prefer investing in other coins than Bitcoin just as you said that it is simply because it offers higher growth potential than Bitcoin which is very unrealistic with zero guarantee making it very risky when compared with Bitcoin, Bitcoin is more reliable with more solid foundation. But however, it is always advisable not to do more 10 percent size of your Bitcoin investment in other coins. Though anyone can do whatever they like but the truth must always be told.

But if you cautiously invest on some reputable altcoins, I believe you will certainly be in profits but you should also timing the market as well so you can sell immediately while the market offers high profitability. Investing in altcoins is just like gambling, very risky and quick, but I won't totally advise against it and say Bitcoin should be the only cryptocurrency you should invest in. You see, as an investor, keeping your funds in one place is also not a wise decision.
