]I have a  few bitcoin Casascius from 2011 and looking to sell 1. it's the misspelled version and loaded with 1 bitcoin. this deal would have to be in person at a public place.
I've never sold any coins in the past so any feedback on how to sell one would be greatly appreciated.

We have the Collectibles board for physical bitcoins and the likes. See this thread for selling guide: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5277761.0

Though some may be reluctant to transact in person with the amount involved. There is however minerjones, a reputable escrow who has been facilitating such deals via shipping, see: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1833742

To start with, it would be helpful to share:

1. An image of the coins with your username and today's date + last block number + last 8 chars of the blockhash - this is to prove you actually have the coins in hand and see their condition
2. Your location
3. What kind of price range/trade expectation you have

Error 1 BTC cas coins are not as rare as some other pieces, but if you are able to work with a reputable escrow like minerjones, they can still fetch a decent premium.

Things change if you are located in a weird place and shipping would be risky/dangerous, or other factors like the condition of the coins don't pan out.

... Things change if you are located in a weird place ...

off-topic: just curious, can you please elaborate on that  Cheesy

It happens from time to time - some countries just don't have safe/reliable shipping options that support shipping values that could very well buy you a house in most places.

I've had packages stolen in India - there's a bhCoin in Argentina in recent threads here that is iffy to ship without personally flying it out.

I know folks who have had things stolen in tier 1 countries straight out of the box and had empty boxes delivered.

I've shipped a lot of things internationally over the years, and have occasionally run into issues with customs and inspections (even in countries items are just transiting through!)

Personally, I wouldn't want to ship anything loaded with more than 0.01 BTC or so through most countries, but each to their own.

In person is dicey if not done right.  There are folks here who offer escrow services that when used correctly is flawlessly done.  If you do opt for in person I have used safe stations to meet up with people to exchange money for something.  Once was in a police parking lot with camera in the space, another we literally did it right in the police station.  For something as expensive as these I'd opt for the in station spot.
