Following the tradition of last season's thread, I'm inviting everyone to say it loud if they like or support any team in the Greek league.

This year the super league starts with two new teams, Levadiakos and Athens Kallithea which were promoted after the relegation of  A.E. Kifisia and PAS Giannina.

Also a new playoff format with only four teams this time. Should make things more interesting given the top competitive teams in the Greek league are actually only four: AEK,Olympiakos, Panathinaikos and PAOK.

Let's now see the first match day:


PAOK had a very hard time against the considerably weaker Panerraikos. A very awkward start to the season for what should be a top team. Panathinaikos lost to Asteras Tripolis, which was also shocking. And Olympiakos and AEK had a very strong start.

I checked the league table and it is only one match that has been played. If I remember the league very well, Olympiacos is the best but maybe things has changed. According to the league table last season, PAOK won the league while AEK Athens was the second. Olympiacos was the third. I remember when AEK Athens moved up to the league from the lower league but now playing good.

I will be betting with matches in this league this season. Thanks for bringing it.

It was yesterday that I was wondering when this thread was going to be created. Finally, it's about time we have a new Super League, with two new teams as well, and I cannot wait to start placing our bets. I actually missed the first weekend of the new league because I hadn't realized it had already started. I'm looking forward to this one though, with some great options that, to me, are almost guaranteed wins, starting with AEK vs. Lamia, PAOK vs. Panetolikos, Panathinaikos vs. Levadiakos, Olympiakos vs. Kallithea, and finally, OFI vs. Atromitos. I haven't checked what the odds are yet, but all these seem pretty straightforward.

This year's Greek Super League started with a few decent matches, winning most of those that I originally anticipated. Even though the odds weren't great in some of them, a win is a win. I was a little taken aback with AEK vs. Lamia, the only game I lost, but that's okay. OFI did quite decently as well, even though the match ended in a tie.

So looking at the odds for matches on the upcoming match day, I think I'd go with a bet on PAOK winning against Atromitos.


I think PAOK has a strong team this year and will definetely be able to secure a win against Atromitos. So odds of 1.44 aren't bad at all. PAOK continues in the European leagues this year with chances to continue in Europa league. So they're at a good point right now I think especially after signing some new players for this season. Atromitos had managed to draw with Aris earlier but I wouldn't consider this that big of a feat.

I think it is almost sure they will continue in Europa League but I think they failed miserably at home against Malmo in Champions League while they got a draw in Sweden in their first game 2-2 and then they came home to play the return leg where many people thought they will qualify further and in fact they didn't because of 3-4 loss result in their home.

Of course in the Greece league they are the existing Champions I think as they won the 4th title in their history in last season which was a major achievement from them and of course they are still leading the league in the new 2024-2025 season so yeah chances are high they are going to win and that good of 1.44 is good to me too.

The odds were quite decent for a match that I deemed a guaranteed win. If I'm being honest, I was a little taken aback when Atromitos scored at 85'. I thought the match would end in a tie, but PAOK came forward and scored at the very last minute. This proves that there's no "guaranteed" match, like how I expressed earlier and in my previous post, as this match could have easily ended in a tie. Great game nonetheless.

Not many great options as "easy" bets, but I'm seeing some decent matchups.

In the 4th match there will be one quite interesting match between PAOK against Panathinaikos and this match is an advantage for PAOK to get full points again because they are playing at home, but on the other hand Panathinaikos is also strong team and they performed quite well last season.
For the PAOK match against Panathinaikos it still shows that PAOK is the favorite, but I sure that in this match it will be fierce, there is still possibility for Panathinaikos to draw and share points even though PAOK has the advantage.

In another match PAOK will also play against Galatasaray in the Europa League and this will be big match later because both team have good performances, Galatasaray itself has improved performance with the arrival of one of the best strikers in Europe today, namely Osimhen.
Maybe this will be difficult match for PAOK to be able to win and get full points in the Europa League standings for the first match.

A terrible toothache prevented me from being as active as I anticipated, and I forgot to post earlier regarding the previous weekend's matches. I was surprised that Kallithea vs. Panathinaikos ended in a tie; I wasn't expecting it, and it resulted in a minor betting defeat; the rest fortunately turned out okay. I was pleasantly surprised with OFI though; three goals against Volos; it was a great match! Olympiakos vs. Lamia and AEK vs. Levadiakos were pretty straight-forward and guaranteed matches.

My guess this year is that PAOK won't manage to win another title ( even if I would love it because Lucescu JR is Romanian like me and he is probably our best 2nd coach from Romania ) because last 2 years both AEK Athena and Olympiacos have put together a strong team that is capable to fight not only for the Greek Super League  but also for European trophies and we saw this last year when Olympiacos won Europa Conference League.

However , my bet would be on AEK because they missed this year to win Super League just because of bad luck as they've lost a lot of points in the last 5 games of the season and that is where they basically lost the title.

AEK lost the previous league by only one or two points, if I remember correctly. I'm not an AEK fan, but it's a shame. Even though their performance was outstanding, it plummeted in the last few games, which is where they lost the lead. It's still too early to come up with a prediction; I haven't made up my mind yet. So far, Olympiakos and PAOK have the lead with 9 points, but we have plenty of matchdays left. If I were to guess, I'd be between Olympiakos and AEK. We'll see in the near future if we were any accurate.

Lamia tied AEK earlier so I'm confident they can play good enough football to win against Kallithea who are a team still gaining experience in the Greek Super League. I may be proven wrong, these  matches are quite unpredictable sometimes. But my money is in a Lamia win.

Playing at home is an advantage for Lamia in facing Kallithea, however, because this is a match for a mid-table club, it's still difficult to guess all the possibilities that could happen. Based on my experience while playing football gambling, looking at the odds, the outcome possibility is a draw, many people think Lamia can win because they're playing at home, on the other hand there are also those who guess that Kallithea can face Lamia. This is a dangerous match for bettors, I personally would not bet on this match.

Sounds like a good option. Initially, I thought it was a risky match, but you're right, Kallithea is a new team in the Greek Super League with limited experience; thus, Lamia is standing out and is more likely to win. On top of that, the odds are great, especially if you compare them among the other matches. I was hoping to go for the more "guaranteed" options, even though the odds aren't really worth it, and that's what might ultimately make it riskier in the long run.

  @Alani123 You were right; most matches feature poor odds that aren't really worth the risk and our time (Olympiakos vs. Panaitolikos is at 1.12 for Olympiakos). Any thoughts about tomorrow's game of OFI vs. Aris? The odds are quite great, but from how I'm seeing things, it seems like an extremely risky option. It's certainly going to be a great match in the OFI's stadium, Theodoros Vardinogiannis. I was also considering PAOK vs. Panathinaikos, and the odds seem a little weird to me. 1.73 for PAOK and 4.7 for Panathinaikos? Shouldn't they be a little more balanced?

Daaamn Lamia pressured kalithea a lot and had some good chances but whoever said the game would end in a tie was right. The teams failed to take any risks and didn't secure any goals at all... I guess it was a risky experiment to bet on such team, I was between this bet and completely abstaining from placing any bets this match day, but I didn't listen to my gut telling me to be careful.  listen to your gut people hehe

Hi guys! I just found this thread. Im not a specialist on greek football, because i see the league very unbalanced between the big teams and the weak ones.

Is any value to bet on this league? Underdogs make good games against the big from Athens?

For example i just see Olimpiacos just dropping points in this round.

Do not forget that this is betting which is similar to gambling as you can win or lose at anytime. This week bet did not favour me but I listened to my gut. Do not mind me, I can not call it that. What that is important is that you should use the amount of money that you can afford to lose. Someone can listen to his gut and win while he can listen to his gut and lose so far it is betting.

Agreed, especially when someone complains that rent prices are too high.
