I am not sure about any CM but I had a chance to have a conversation with basepoker regarding one potential sponsorship for BTT exclusive tournaments. Unfortunately, I can not disclose more details but I would say that the team base poker is super approachable and quite professional.

As we grow more, we hope to do some Bitcointalk campaign soon. I don't think we're quite ready yet especially when BTC is missing. We're adding BTC soon and researching how to do lightning payment. I'll keep yall updated!

It's quite surprising to me you haven't added Bitcoin payment yet when you've already added Bitcoin Cash and other altcoins. This is really something you are missing, and some gamblers often use Bitcoin payment. There is a reason why gamblers like Bitcoin too much: because when a pump happens, their portfolio also gets up. So you are losing such gamblers on your platform. It's been a while since you launched your announcement thread here but haven't focused on Bitcoin payment.

However, we hope as soon as possible we will see the Bitcoin logo on your site. Besides that, you will do something to draw attention from forum gamblers, like promotional offers including bonuses. Even though you are quite older here, unfortunately, due to a lack of branding, many potential gamblers haven't noticed your platform yet. Hope you will focus on branding as well to draw attention from the forum gamblers also.

In my opinion, their random number generator has no idea what probability theory or uniform distribution is. For example, a straight comes up (for someone) almost every other hand. That’s pure nonsense in the most literal sense.)))

Simply put, playing on Basepoker is highly unpredictable - and that’s putting it very mildly.
On the bright side, you can at least verify game fairness and even change the seed. But it's still a casino, not poker...

The bigger concern would be the possibility of super users (super users are those players who can see everyone's whole cards).

People see new platforms with skepticism anyway may be this is the reason. If you are playing at a platform for years, your mind has encountered the balance in variance distribution with the sheer number of cards dealt. I am confident that if you play enough hand there you will not even notice that.
Manipulating cards in real time requires much more complex algo and risk of exploitation is too high.
I am not supporting any platform (or opposing here) but just sharing what I think might be happening with you.

that can only be used or deposited on the gambling platform.

BTC and lightning are being worked on right now. As a new startup, it's wise to go a niche area first before proving the MVP. If we had BTC from the beginning when our software wasn't as much as now, we would've provided a bad user experience. Now we're confident to bring in big boys.

Just for information - it is not allowed to have a thread on gambling section if a platform does not support Bitcoin as a payment method. I think no one informed you that which is why the thread is in this section. Usually the moderators move the thread to the altcoins section if they find any platform in this section that does not support Bitcoin as a payment method.

It is good to know that Basepoker is already working on implementing Bitcoin deposits. It would be even better if they added the Lightning network, too. I have only used the Lightning channel a few times in my life. Not many platforms accept the Lightning channel. I am sure people will love that.

The current randomness/shuffling method of most poker sites is basically the same. It's "Trust me bro we got audited" stamp. What auditing services do is that they run the algo large numbers and see if the outcome deviates from the standard distribution. That's all there is to it. The real question is... how do you know if they ACTUALLY implemented as what they claim or even worse: how do you know if there's manipulation AFTER randomness generation and shuffling of cards. So far there hasn't been any solution.

Because if you want to let people to verify hands publicly, it would violate hand privacy of every players. No one would ever play in such poker site. So how can we allow public verification while keeping the privacy of player's hand history?

This is why we came up with consensus-based randomness/shuffling along with hashchain.

Hashchain, which is basically a chain of hashes, proves that the seed hash for the randomness cannot be modified. If we modify the seed, people can know.

Then the seed hash is combined with player seed, which is given to each player. Players can edit their player seed at will.
If you want to verify the hand outcome, you need to ask your opponent's player seed. If both agrees to verify, they can do it independently without trusting Basepoker.

What if your opponent doesn't want to verify? Sorry, this is the only limit. This is why we create a way for anyone to open their own private cash game table. Invite your friends and verify together!

This consensus-based verification is the only possible method that does not violate user privacy while publicly verify each hand. There is no room for intervention, modification, or cheating.

Coinpoker has already doing something similar. I dont want to complicate the issue here but the biggest danger is from house players and super users. You can not  provide an explanation for the impossibility of super users.
None of this matter though, for example GG poker has none of that lol (they are relying on 3rd party test lab's audit) and I dont have to tell you the numbers there.
What matters is having deep pockets to take risk for some time by running worthy promotions for long time not just few freerolls. One site is offering 500 GTD for $50 buy-in tourney and other is offering 1 million GTD for same buy-in with more advanced variations such as bounty hunter/mystery bounties etc.
Online poker is on the decline anyway because of cheating tools so easily available for an average joe and if you do not do KYC it is impossible to stop cheaters/colluders.
USP  can not be  'we don't cheat' it is obvious.

You are correct that it is impossible to technically prove such thing. This goes for every poker sites out there. The test audit has nothing to do with superusers. It has to do with randomness distribution.

I'd argue that players chase recreational players. If high GTD is what makes every other sites obsolete, there wouldn't be any other site other than the one with 1m GTD game. Basepoker is growing 10% a week, which is insane rate. We're proud to build a poker software from scratch that has very high retention.

Regarding KYC, cheating/collusion detection has nothing to do with KYC. We live in a world of AI and machine learning, which makes us very good at detecting fraudulent plays in very cost effective way. As soon as the algo detects abnormal behaviors, the account is blocked and gets manual review.

I never said that i wouldn't understand why you want to keep it there, but i am not sure how your reply defends the "NO KYC" sign, because it sounds like it should say "NO KYC UNTILL WE NEED TO LEGALLY ASK FOR IT". Which basically means no kyc for some people yet.

It's still misleading advertising. Many casinos still have non-kyc gamblers, but they don't advertise themselves with NO KYC sign. Or don't you see how misleading that is?
