Well.   However, Putin claimed that despite the sanctions, the Russian economy is growing and sanctions are easily overcome by substituting domestic production of goods, which is even beneficial for Russia. But is this really so?

He said he would do a military excercise "near Ukraine". He did it, and then invaded so technically he said the "truth".
