Croatia is really dealing with France, if not for the penalty that was missed, it would have been 3 goals against France. But right now Croatia is still in a commanding lead, with a 2 goal lead at halftime. Someone said yesterday that he classified this match as an easy match for France to win. I told the person that Croatia and France wasn't an easy match and shouldn't be seen that way. I told him that the match is a tough one that France won't have it easily with Croatia. Look at it now, France are down with 2 goals, and nothing seems to work for them at the moment. There's still 45 minutes to play but I don't think Croatia will lose this match again. They are definitely getting a win against France tonight.

Easy to predict but when the match is on it can get the opposite result. I also predicted that France would be able to get 3 points in this 1st leg before the match started. Apart from being a fan of the French national team, I think Croatia's game is easy to read for French players.

 Spain proved that they've really got the stuff champions are made of. Won't deny that the game was a bit unlike them because they only showed action after Netherlands pressed them. Typical Spain will demoralize their opponents to the point that they make a lot of mistakes but instead it seemed as if they were only showing force the moment Netherlands retaliated.
 I feel that the game would have been hard for them to win if not for the red card gotten by Hato and now that the first leg ended in a draw, it will give Luis de la Fuentes boys enough leverage to go back and prepare for the return leg. Maybe that time we'd see a more balanced Spain and not the ones who were struggling today. Although to be fair Netherlands are not a team to be intimidated easily but they'veet stronger sides and dealt with them so I felt today will be more like it.

Can’t believe both Portugal and France lost today, I never expected this, at least I expected both teams to atleast score a goal. With the attacking threat France have in their squad they failed to score at least a goal. Well when I saw the line up i was having doubt about France winning. I expected Bacola to start and not Kolo Muani. Losing to Croatia 2-0 away from home is a huge one to take.

Portugal also Lost to Denmark, honestly I think Denmark deserves the win. Rasmus Hojlund scored the only goal and hit the Siuuu celebration in front of cristiano Ronaldo. Erisken failed to convert from the penalty spot in the first half it would have been worst for Portugal.

Spain and Netherlands ended in a 2-2 draw too. It was an interesting match, I expected goals and they delivered. Spain got a very late equalizer in the additional minutes. Mikel merino again scoring, his good foam continues in front of goal.

I don't know what people in english-speaking countries think of the Nations League, but in my circle of friends, there's hardly anyone who is happy about this format. I think the Nations League is absolutely unnecessary and I find the interruption of the national leagues that comes with it very annoying, I would definitely prefer this format to be abolished. There are 20 minutes left to play and if France does not win back at least one goal then in the return match the obvious favorites (to qualify) will be Croatia.
The Netherlands are also unexpectedly leading in the game against Spain, but the situation there is more even and I think Spain will be satisfied with this minimal defeat.

In the end France was unable to do anything. Big victory to  Croatia. I enjoyed every minute of the game because Croatia played like a team who wants to qualify. I doubt France will be able to play better in next leg because Croatia will do anything to win or draw the game to maintain their points.

Today was a blood bath and thank God I was so busy that I didn't have the time to place a bet. If I had, I'm sure I'd have given France, Spain and Germany a straight win and I'd have join the wailing crew tonight.

The Netherlands v Spain and Denmark v Portugal game are very much open. Portugal and Spain can get a win in the second leg and make it to the semis but I'm not sure about France. Even with their big names, they couldn't do much. They should be thankful Kramaric missed a penalty, it'd have been three nil.

I think there is a problem with the France national team now and I do not see the reason why they should not win over Croatia. Currently the France squad has two ballon d'or contenders in the persons of ousmane Dembélé and kylian mbappé, so I did not know why to ballon d'or contenders should be in the match and not be able to score a goal. I started watching the match from the beginning but later on I got distracted and I was surprised to check the internet now and discovered that France lost the match with two goals.

Another unfortunate result is the loss of Portugal. Apart from this two I think all other results are somehow expected maybe apart from Spain.
