I had a hard time predicting the results of the quarter finals correctly but probably many other people were also the same.  

For example who could have thought France would be that bad? The same for Portugal as well. I don't see them ambitious enough unlike the last EURO tournament.

The only teams I'm confident about to advance are Germany and Spain. 1-0 isn't too bad for Portugal too though so maybe they are too. But for France, I don't know... Croatia might need another mega saves by Livakovic.

Croatia managed to defeat France. Despite Kramaric missing a penalty, the Croats defeated their opponents 2-0. Livakovic had a good performance. Ivan Perisic scored 1 goal and 1 assist in the match. ~

For me, the defeats of France and Portugal were completely unexpected. Although France attacked strongly and had a lot of possession, they were unable to get an effective result from the match. Spain and Germany already has one win in the first round of their matches, these wins had given them confidence over the likes of France and Portugal because they have less work to do in the returning leg because they can also win the match again because they literally have a better squad than their opponents.

It was shocking that France lost without scoring a single goal same as Portugal, although Portugal might find it easy since they only conceded one goal, but for France, they need score at least three goals and avoid conceding any goal if they wants to qualify to the next round which looks very difficult but it is still possible because they can  defeat Croatia based on their past games statistics.

1.45 Odds as the favorites in a national team football doesn't look like a huge favorite, if you ask me.

The Odds for France to win @ 1.45 seem fair and justified, but France to qualify for 2.62 Odds is pretty low to me, and there is no way I'd take that bet against Croatia, for all we know Croatia could even win the second leg. Croatia might have their own fair share bad result over the past year, but on an average day, we know they're no pushovers, France winning 3-0 ? not going to happen.

Yesterday, I didn't struggle in predicting a win for Turkey in that UEFA Nations League game between both sides but because Arder Guler was suspended from featuring in that game, I said it here that it'll be a difficult game for both sides but at the end, the home team will win.

And again, there's no single game here today that played ov 2.5 goals, infact it's only two games that played ov 1.5 and funny enough, the odds for this ov 1.5 option is very small. I'm only sad because, it's been long I won from football bets.

This competition is a comedy, I've seen France many times in this competition playing with their best players, but having a poor performance, but the same France in the World Cup plays well against the same teams that they played badly against in the Nations League. Which led me to think that the teams simply don't take this competition seriously. The poor performance that good national teams have had in this competition is not normal.

Some of the players in their teams realize that their clubs are in delicate positions on the table, that is, their respective league, and they do not want to risk getting injured, so they do not put their team in a difficult position when they return. When I see a betting market like this, I'm usually tempted to go with the team with the higher odd. Why? Because France is a better team on paper compared to Croatia but they get the highest odd despite the fact that they can easily turn things around in the return leg.

I'm going to place a small bet for France to qualify or to be on the safer side—France to win in the return leg. I can see either of those options being the likely outcomes.

We always forget to remember that the football game we're watching everyday where the bigger countries will always defeat the smaller countries that one day the smaller countries will raise and defeat the bigger ones and it will change, as in the bigger countries will struggle against the smaller countries, it will not be business as usual. Now we see Portugal losing to Denmark and Belgium that we all know with good players will lose to Ukraine, not 1 or 2 but 3-1, this isn't something we should be surprised about, these good players in these bigger countries do get old and the national team have to regroup or should I say start all over again to get good players to replace the retired ones. The only thing you guys will say is itching you is that they didn't play as you predicted in your ticket I can relate with that, that's all.

It might not change a thing despite having this second leg played at France home ground. The bookies understudy these teams much deeper than we do before producing the odds for gamblers predictions.

We shouldn't be surprised seeing this returning leg end in a stalemate draw because that's what Croatia can at least fight for when they visit Spain if they can't get a second win. France were really terrible in the first outing and it would take more than just a little improvement for them to upturn the result when they play at home in the second leg.

Kosovo defeated Iceland 2-1 to take the advantage.Iceland's performance is not what it used to be and Kosovo was the favorite in this match.I expected them to win and they made no mistake.Both teams had plenty of scoring chances in the match and Kosovo got what they wanted.

It was so terrible to watch, Portugal lost and I lost my bet too. Its hurt to see  team like Portugal playing like an average team yesterday against Denmark. It was so annoying to watch, they could not score a goal playing like they have already qualified.

In our time zone, the match was held early in the morning (around 02:00 AM). I was lucky because I was asleep & didn't notice the match schedule, so I missed my betting plan & my money was safe . With Portugal trailing by a goal, I think I'll go all-in with my weekly betting allocation, Portugal will not lose in the second leg.

Denmark deserved this win, and Portugal was lucky that Eriksen missed the penalty, otherwise it would have been much more difficult to win back two goals in the return match.

That's a question you should ask in the first leg, if France have many quality players, why did they can lose with 2 goals gap.

I see Croatia didn't use their full power, after they scores 2 goals, they turn their strategy to be more defensive, hence France completely dominating in the second half and they shots more than Croatia.

I expect less goals in second leg, Turkey already won 2 points, so they will play more defensive.
