It is not my intention to add to the number of post already in this forum about the upcoming elections in the US, but this is a topic that I consider interesting and found it in AltcoinTalks. I am quoting it because I think the responses here will be unique to every individual who loves bitcoin. This is a polltopic for cryptoBitcoin people/crypto owners that are not living in the US and do not participate in US elections.
Just to see if cryptoBitcoin as a single issue is strong enough to even motivate non-US voters.
I do not agree with many of Trump's stances and opinions, but his support for crypto made me reflect: is this issue strong enough for me to cast a vote for him, and I am wondering about the rest of crypto owners around the world.
If you had the power to cast 1 magical vote for Trump, would you do it ? (slight modifications have been made to the topic, to make it best suited for this board.)

I'll just quote my own post from thread you mentioned. Probably no. I'm aware that he made many promises related with cryptocurrency, where few of them are rather specific. But Trump (along with other people close to him) heavy involvement on Project 2025 and being guilty of 34 felony charges raises some red flags.
P.S. I wonder how long until moderator decide to move this thread to "Politics & Society" board.

If we ignore other issues that American voters care about and just talk about cryptocurrencies, I think there is no reason not to vote for Trump. As I have said many times before, there is still a risk in voting for him because we still cannot confirm whether he has changed his views and is truly interested in the future of crypto or is just lying to us. But with him publicly supporting crypto, it shows there is still a small chance for us when we bet on him. Meanwhile, Harris has not expressed her views and ignored everything related to crypto throughout her campaign, which makes me think that she will most likely continue to maintain the policies that Biden left behind. And as we all know, Biden is not friendly to the crypto industry.

But you added it anyway As for Trump, I honestly want him to lose in the most painful way for him. The reason is all the euphoria that has been created around him. It is quite tiring to read and talk about him every day, while I think that he does more harm than good to Bitcoin and crypto. There are still 50 days left, and there will be more "interesting" discussions about him here, a good training for patience.

Not everyone on this forum is from US. If I was from US, I would have definitely voted for Trump rather than someone who is faking accents and ethnicity to get some votes. I don't want to make it more political however someone changing personalities just for getting attention from all ethnic races is very weird. Elections result will surely affect Crypto and Bitcoin as Trump made it relate to himself. Let's see how it goes.

Split into 50 - 50 for deciding it since I'm not convince yet that Trump would really bring something innovative or good changes with bitcoin since I didn't forget how he hate bitcoin before. He call bitcoin as scam https://www.bbc.com/news/business-57392734 so for sure lots of people doubting on his intention regarding on this matter. Although there might be a change of outlook towards great changes but we cannot erase those bad tracks against crypto that provably would hunt him. Still let see if he impressed people towards his action made or they changed their belief and want to try new female president that will lead their country.

It is not my intention to add to the number of post already in this forum about the upcoming elections in the US, but this is a topic that I consider interesting and found it in AltcoinTalks. I am quoting it because I think the responses here will be unique to every individual who loves bitcoin. How many people believe Trump's promises? Some think he advocates for the crypto industry because he wants to get votes from young voters. And others feel he wants financial support from donors in the crypto space. However, some polls have indicated that he has really achieved his aim of adding crypto to his campaign promises. Kamala is topping Trump in almost all the polls but on Polymarket, a platform that uses cryptocurrency for predictions, Trump is ahead with a 63% chance of winning, compared to Kamala’s 32%. This shows that he has been able to gain acceptance among crypto users. Other issues in the US are more important to me than crypto policies. After considering these areas, I wouldn't vote for Trump.

If you had the power to cast 1 magical vote for Trump, would you do it ?
The answer is simply no and here is why: 1. He is just another politician that is giving people whatever promise that can get him votes. He will not follow majority of them. Just like he didn't follow any of his promises last time he ran for presidency and won! 2. Bitcoin is not a major issue of any society including USA. There are a million other issues that need addressing for example take the economy. What will he do for the MASSIVE national debt, rising inflation and deepening recession? Will he default on the debt and shut down the government? Will he push US to dissolution like USSR? Or will he be able to do what Clinton or Johnson did and balance the federal budget? The answer to all these questions are "he won't be able to fix it"! The worst part is that the other candidate is not going to be able to fix any of that either... That means both of the two candidates that the 350 million Americans are forced to choose between are not eligible... #facepalm
P.S. I forgot to mention that in political structures such as the one US has, there is a legislature that is responsible for make laws on behalf of the people. You don't necessarily need a pro-something president to get that something regulated fairly...

Bitcoin will grow naturally with Kamala Harris or Donald Trump as a next President and this question only makes sense if you are citizen of the USA. and a Bitcoiner, then you will have citizen rights to vote for a next President. If you are only a Bitcoiner but not USA citizen, you can not vote. https://cryptorank.io/price/bitcoin/analytics| Year | Change | High | Low | USA President | | _________ | ______________ | ___________ | _________ | _____________________ | | 2024 | +42.1% | $73,682 | $38,595 | Joe Biden | | 2023 | +155.4% | $44,746 | $16,504 | Joe Biden | | 2022 | -64.3% | $48,205 | $15,521 | Joe Biden | | 2021 | +59.6% | $68,672 | $28,621 | Joe Biden | | 2020 | +304.1% | $29,282 | $4,010 | Donald Trump | | 2019 | +90.9% | $13,793 | $3,380 | Donald Trump | | 2018 | -73.3% | $17,712 | $3,201 | Donald Trump | | 2017 | +1,369% | $20,089 | $755.76 | Donald Trump | | 2016 | +123.8% | $979.4 | $354.91 | Barack Obama | | 2015 | +34.4% | $495.56 | $171.51 | Barack Obama | | 2014 | -57.6% | $1,017 | $289.3 | Barack Obama | | 2013 | +5,435% | $1,156 | $11.75 | Barack Obama | | 2012 | +183.5% | $16.78 | $3.81 | Barack Obama | | 2011 | +1,435% | $35.76 | $0.257 | Barack Obama | | _________ | ______________ | ___________ | _________ | _____________________ |

He is a politician 😁 I agree with point of view but he is the only elected president who was able to stop the US from destroying any country on the pretext of democracy. He did made it evident that US comes first and he made many manufacturing units come back in the US from China. Bitcoin is not a major issue of any society including USA.
It is not a major issue or an eminent threat but it is what their financial institutions are backing with their ETFs. It is certainly a way for the country to respond to their financial woes as he has said publically that ceased Bitcoin can actually help thier economic to settle the massive debt. Your questions are valid but I think he will be better than the current political party. They are still not clear who should lead the Presidential election and I won't be surprised if they change the lady and replace her with a new gentleman.

I am not actually a pro-Trump but compared to Harris, I am more than willing to vote for Trump rather than Harris. She seems no future plans for crypto particularly bitcoin so if she'll win, most likely she's like another Biden that is absolutely against the promotion of crypto.
However with Trump, there's a small chance that he'll turn bitcoin in a global currency soon if he'll only stick to his promise. But if not, at least he's not totally against crypto existence knowing he's even planning to launch his own son's crypto business.

Does anyone know the latest news about the Trump project launching this day?
Ain't an American voter but I think Trump is simply doing business here, we know he is a politician and a businessman as well and that's a perfect way to grow your business once you've got the highest government position.
Don't forget what Trump said before when he was president that unregulated crypto can facilitate unlawful behavior, including drug trade and other illegal activity. But now what? Launching a crypto exchange, a regulated exchange? It could be a threat to the crypto world.
IMO, no.

Nope. Bitcoin is relatively too insignificant when we think about the whole country, so I don't believe that single fact should make me vote for a person. As long as human rights will be respected, I don't care what your stance on Bitcoin is. Except the other party will make Bitcoin illegal in the country, I won't even consider voting for a candidate because he favours Bitcoin. There are a lot of different sectors and views I have to agree with first before supporting a leader, bitcoin just happens to be one of them and it doesn't top the list.

Any leader candidate in any part of the world who supports bitcoin, i will definitely support them. For the United States itself, we have Donald Trump and Kamala Harris as candidates, i don't like Kamala because she comes from a party that is not pro-bitcoin, so for that reason I prefer Donald Trump & if i were given the vote, of course, i would vote for the only one Kamala Harris Donald J. Trump.

he is the only elected president who was able to stop the US from destroying any country on the pretext of democracy.
He couldn't start a new war, despite trying so hard to do so There is just no country left that the US regime can drop the democracy bombs on that can not reciprocate. Read Trump and His Generals by Peter Bergen for example and countless other sources on how his own military generals had to constantly pull on his leash to prevent him from starting a new war because the wars he was trying to start would have not only annihilated US military but also would have annihilated the USA itself.

Don't forget what Trump said before when he was president that unregulated crypto can facilitate unlawful behavior, including drug trade and other illegal activity. But now what? Launching a crypto exchange, a regulated exchange? It could be a threat to the crypto world.
IMO, no.
For me, I will say that I don't see Trump's launching of a new crypto exchange as a threat in anyway, He is a businessman just as you earlier said, and as such, he may have spent a lot to put the exchange into perfect condition, of which what next, will be home to generate profit and compete with competitors, and not fighting the crypto market in general, because crypto or Bitcoin is worldwide, and not a currency that could be controlled by any regional government. But however, I'm still sketical about Trump.

Unfortunately, we don't live in an utopia where there are bad and good choices waiting to be made (if there can ever be bad choices in an utopia), we live in a world where we sometimes have to choose between something bad and something even worse. Neither Trump nor Harris are fully competent for the presidential post: Trump has very questionable views on foreign policy, and Harris will doubtlessly be a disaster for the US economics. Which one of them is a lesser evil? Probably Harris. Also, I'd vote for her just for the memes - could any XIX century American citizen ever suppose that their country will once be led by a non-white individual, and not only non-white, but also a female individual?

Trump vs. Harris is a horrible choice! I have a slight preference for Trump only because Harris is literally an extreme communist. Might be a time to just not vote.

In fact I will vote for the president who will work well for the development of Bitcoin. Between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, if Kamala Harris did more to develop Bitcoin than Donald Trump, I would definitely vote for her. Moreover, what if the development of Bitcoin is forgotten after voting?
