I think satoshi sort of aligned things with the current system where one satoshi equals one penny. I believe that is a one million dollar Bitcoin price. Could it go higher? Anything is possible. When you look at the numbers and early predictions and explanations from satoshi, I think it suggests a satoshi was meant to be valued at a penny, or at least the value of a penny in 2009.

dealing with fraction is subjective and at that we have to build our understanding towards that, no matter what the price of bitcoin will be in the future, sats will always be relevant and available for usage and in fact most of the bitcoin transactions are in sat and if the value of bitcoin increases tomorrow that value increase will also reflect on the value of the sats and this is what the chain is all about, so let continue with the moment and keep accumulating more sats to build up our overall bitcoin holdings waiting for the future.

if at the current Bitcoin price, the worth of a Satoshi is still not up to $1, how long do we think it will take before one Satoshi gets to $1k or even $1m? Bitcoin is almost at $100k and yet we've not seen a Satoshi getting anywhere close to $100, if we're to just do a simple guess on what Bitcoin price will get to before a Satoshi gets to $100, Bitcoin would have at least gotten to an outrageous amount which is not something that if it will ever happen will play out in long period of time at the least.

If there are 100,000,000 Satoshi in a 1 BTC, if Bitcoin is currently at $60k, 1 Satoshi should be $60,000/100,000,000 which is =$0.0006 Satoshi.

If Bitcoin is $100,000,000. That's when a Satoshi should normally equal $1.

The question is, can Bitcoin get to $100,000,000? If yes, how long will it take.
My calculation might be wrong but it's to the best of my knowledge that Satoshi is just a fraction of Bitcoin which increase based on Bitcoin value increment.

Firstly no matter the amount a bitcoin is worth the units of it will always be called satoshi but some could come with other names for units of satoshi it self but the standard unit will be satoshi. As for the price of satoshi in future it will be based on the price of bitcoin. If one bitcoin gets to $1m then we will have a satoshi at $0.01 which we all know bitcoin at $1m is not a realistic prediction for the near picture, yes we might get to that in years to come maybe after the halving has ended and bitcoin is scarce then but still that price is not realistic as at now.

So a satoshi at $1k is absurd because even a $1 per satoshi isn’t visible. At $1 per satoshi you have bitcoin at $100 million now at $1k you have bitcoin at $100 Billion which we are know isn’t even achieved in hundred years to come

It depends on what you mean by "future". Is it in 10, 50 or 100 years? Or 1000?

If we assume that bitcoin will cost $1.000.000 (although it hasn't even reached the $100k mark yet) and taking into account that a 1 satoshi is 10^-8 BTC, then probably 1 satoshi will be equal to 1 cent. And it seems to me that this will be a very good indicator, because now not every token costs 1 cent.

But by that time, that 1 cent will be cheaper than the current 1 cent (It's inflation, baby!).

I do not have ideal of how much 1 Satoshi would be in the future but assuming it reaches any of the above $1K - $1M, it would probably mean that Bitcoin has been overrated and exceeded to extinction because there would be no chances of less than average Bitcoin enthusiasts to use Bitcoin.

Or do we assume Bitcoin would then be a currency for the wealthy people? As guess not because even lot of individuals that may be rich today struggles to afford 1 Bitcoin and considering the fate of the future economy, of 1 Satoshi is such rated at such values, that means Satoshi would be replacing the possession of Bitcoin in terms of affordability. Then I guess we would have some other token to back Satoshi up for its fractions also as it plays on Bitcoin.

I am just wondering why you are mentioning $1k, $100k and $1m in relation to Satoshi. Apart from $1k, bitcoin has not touch all the above you mentioned let alone sat. This is an unrealistic projection, no matter how far or near you think the future is.

When it comes to this matter or speaking about future prices then im that someone who doesnt care at all. Yes, i do love Bitcoin or really that optimistic into it when it comes into its potential on reaching
new all time highs then there's no doubt into that but i cant think off that we would really be reaching out into the moment that a sat price would be equal to $1 or even into those numbers mentioned like 1k or 10k or even more. We can say that there's no guarantee when it comes to future on which no one on this world would be able to know on whats ahead. If ever we would really be reaching out those prices then pretty
sure that it wont really be happening into our lifetime. I dont really make myself thinking up with this kind of things because it will really be just that disappoint me whenever the market do make some crash.
If ever this one happens then good thing for those who do hold up their coins for long term or getting that being obtained by their heirs on which considering that this would really be a long time wait.
It cant happen on a decade but rather a couple of decades we should say or even into the moment that the last Bitcoin would be mined and Bitcoin did indeed reach out into the point that it do becomes

With "Wall Street" claiming Bitcoin is the "next digital Gold", $1k per satoshi seems feasible to me within the next 5-6 decades. And if prices continue to go up, maybe 1 satoshi will be worth as far as $1m.

It's crazy, right? If something like that happens, we should have nothing to worry about. You will assume network fees will be so high that no one will be able to pay for them (except the wealthy). But developers can simply divide 1 satoshi into smaller fractions to help solve the problem. It's likely most of us will be dead by the time this happens. Only future generations will witness this. total supply of BTC is fixed and there's always BTC lost in some wallet or excess BTC just being left dormant in a wallet because the number is too low, eventually it will add up to huge amount as the time goes and this will act as a  coin burning which might increase the value of BTC in the future, I think 1 sat for $1 still pretty realistic if we are talking about long term and what I mean by long term is several decades.

as long as BTC still exist moving on forward, I think the value also gonna increase linearly as the time goes, the key lies on the fixed total supply, and reduced circulating supply, but it's just my 2 cents.

Without a specific year, it is difficult to make predictions. Personally I prefer to be realistic rather than overly optimistic so I never thought that BTC could reach $1 million, let alone 1 satoshi could reach $1 million in the next few decades. Even the 100k per BTC target has yet to be reached, so thinking about higher levels seems a bit exaggerated, especially when it comes to satoshi units worth anywhere from a few dollars to a few hundred dollars.

No one can guarantee the future of bitcoin, including Wall Street or the US government. And why don't you think the other way around, how many more years can bitcoin last? As you often say: anything can happen and I don't rule out the possibility that it will become useless in the future.

Even OP doesn't have an idea of the time in the future when that will be possible. The possibility of 1 sat to reach $100 will be in the next 200 years to come. It's just an assumption but we all not that before 1 sat can even reach $1 will be about 20 years time to come.

So am thinking the future you mean isn't next year or next decade(s) rom now because it's quite not a speculation we will be leaving to the next few years from now, and importantly for that to happen it would mean that 1BTC is already worth millions for a Satoshi to worth $1k.   Literally that this becomes a reality that a Satoshi is worth $1k then it would just naturally end the unending debate between gold and bitcoin.

I feel like one million dollars for bitcoin isn't that hard to achieve, sure not right now but it will probably happen in the future and when that happens we are going to see one satoshi worth one cent and that has a great feeling to it. I know that it will take a while for it to get there but it looks like it is going to happen again, and we are going to end up with one cent to one satoshi and it would be something that will get a greater result we should not be worried about it and it could be a good price without a doubt.

I know that it is going to be a long time though like maybe it will be 10 years before that happens but when that happens it is going to be a great period for everyone. We're all hoping for a 1 BTC = $100k first but then if BTC reaches $1M then that will make it $0.01. As of now,

I think most people who are having a hard time collecting BTC in a whole value. They can change their mindsets and start accumulating satoshis instead to make that thought lighter and easier. Because when we're telling them to accumulate BTC, the thought in their minds is to reach $63k or more depending on the current price of BTC. But with telling them to accumulate sats or satoshis, it seems less stress and not too heavy compared to that.

We'll be there for sure but given the example of OP with 1 satoshi and he's told it to reach $1M each, that's unlikely as per looking at the situation now and the price of BTC must be at $100T at that time.
