Yes! Eobot is definitely a Ponzi scheme to me. You better stay away from it. Take a look at these reviews:

http://digiconomist.net/fraud-risk-assessment-eobot
https://forum.gethashing.com/t/emc-eobot-mining-coin-scam-cjmapope-ran-with-the-money/4326

OK I almost hate to do this because it will seem like im defending them lol Im not im defending good fact checking . First link to Digiconomist is IMHO one step up from the gossip page there I said it lol sue me I mean these guys rated Coinbaise a 60 and crypsty a 50 (should have been 10) regardless not a very good fact checking resource however even with that in mind they only had 4 flags yes it says 5 but they missed this so its 4 and really 3 because of flags they flagged btc and paypal? I don’t know many in the btc world that take pay pal this should be a shining star not a flag.

On to the second link that’s a person that scammed people and as far as i know has no connection with EoBot the company in fact i remember EoBot freezing his account after this....

Oh and for all you that claim its legit and not a scam by posting payouts PLEASE STOP everyscam has payouts,,,,,,, the ones in the begining are the only ones that make out I made money off of Bltslice ScriptCC and Scryptsy if you can get in at the begining and get out before the fall go for it its a dice roll no mater who you go with.

Is EoBOT a scam yes and no. They have a pool (legit) Cloud mining scam(1st you will never ROI) NEVER don’t give me this 2 year crap your pissing in the wind you will never get your investment back. 2 reasons they have no mining equipment(not enough to run the service from) follow the addresses you will see that they get paid though Ant pool and Genesis mining lmao all they do is make up the price and fee and then buy hashing power on a real mining site.

Anyways thats my 2bitcoins on the matter lol

Hey, hold on there! What's wrong with the fact checking? Smiley I did the assessment in Jan 2015. They registered their business in June. I'm just guilty of not updating Wink Besides, this is just really weird behavior so I don't think I should anyway (that would be making it too easy for scams that simply update stuff I point out). Let them explain why they didn't have a business registration in the first place  Tongue

At least they're definitely not classic Ponzi, but there are more ways to run a scam. I didn't look into them recently, but they used to charge massive fees. Huh

I also had a warning out on Cryptsy by the way since March 2014 (they ended up getting hacked in July 2014) and featured a note of this in the review. I do agree this wasn't sufficiently reflected in the review score. They're not intended as fraud assessments, so this is a bit tricky. Undecided

I personally use robot to mine and i have no problems

Can you tell us more about this mining robot? Is it cheaper than an S9, and does it beep when you submit a share? I may have been looking at this wrong, I though I needed a bitcoin miner this entire time when I actually needed a small mechanical mining man to earn btc.

Like any other cloud mining service, they work for some period of time and in one moment they just disappear. Like LanYu said its same like gambling, you invest your money to make some profit, just in one moment game will stop and if you didn't withdraw on time you lose all the money you had on the table.
Personally I like more real gambling, and for each game I know odds and risk. One more big plus after second you see your result. In cloud mining you need to invest and ROI is always 25 days, month, 3 months.. but in mean time they can run away with your money.

From https://www.eobot.com/terms :

Cloud mining should be considered as no more than a fun, recreational activity and not a source of income or investment. Investing involves risk, including possible loss of principal.

It's not a scam because they're telling you the site's purpose is to get you entertained with the javascript and seeing the numbers moving, while you get affected with the ads.

I've tested and they indeed pay everything allright. So far the daily DOGE and the faucet haven't ROI the hours I've spent pointing my miners there. I've done my math and this is really non profitable.

It's not a scam. It is just that this is a service you pay for to be entertained, there's nothing to do with you being paid for something.

As if this is a cloud mining service, well, there's no evidence that they have real miners.

I've stress tested the website and sometimes the numbers are running a javascript function that make some mistakes, in a way that probably there's no actual mining going on, it's really just numbers on the website.

If you want to be entertained, just download movies on the pirate bay, it's cheaper.

Use it to mine alternate crytocurrencies like Ethereum or Steem or some other coins which have potential. Eobot is only good for that as if you mine bitcoin there, scam or not you will end up losing money as difficulty increase and price of GHS go down day by day making you less money each day. I personally have mined a few ETH there but I don't use it much, there is long discussion of them being scam so I am cautious and buying GHS just now is not profitable at all scam or not.

I actually used eobot to buy my first bitcoins, I spent around $200 from PayPal anf started mining Bitcoin, in 6 months time I had around $180 worth of Bitcoin and it worked out ok. I wouldn't say it is a scam because it worked very well for me and I trust it. I would however be very careful with any cloud mining websites.

Yeah, I also use eobot to some things in mining. Eobot because I thought it was quite a long standing and they were also quite good. But I gave a fairly low investment, because I think that all the sites using the system inevitably cloud mining ponzi and that's very dangerous for me if the ponzi system already expired

Cloud mining's not fun when you realise that the site's gone, and you realise that it was all a ponzi. They only pay if there's enough in their reserves. The only way this'll ever stop are 2 conditions: 1. They've made enough profit and decide to run, OR 2. they're nearly out of BTC to distribute and decide to run with what they've got. The first is most likely, but what we do know is that this is a ponzi.

So you paid 200 dollars for 180 dollars of BTC and you think it was worth it?

You could have just bought 200 dollars of BTC directly.

They are ponzi its because mining are Not profitable nowadays thats why they slected to do that so they can stay in the limelight in online business world but its very risky to risk for more there since they dont get much profit in their miner itself, and eobot got many bad feedbacks to their costumer and some other claims are badly posted here and that is the thing we need to doubt for, and sure it is bad idea to put new investment at their.

Use 2FA always in such websites. Even if their database get leaked and the hacker gets access to your password he cannot log in because he will need the 2FA code from your phone , from the google authenticator app which is not easy to hack and in fact adds to your security of any account you may have a 99.99% more security.

I don't use Eobot, I only have account on this site, but I didn't invested any money. Few days ago I got interesting email letter from Eobot :
Quote
Hello miner ******** . Eobot is safe. Unlike other exchanges, you can always make sure in real-time we hold all of our coins here on our Audit page.

But as you may have heard, Bitfinex was hacked for around 120000 BTC worth about $60 million dollars. Eobot is taking a few steps to ensure our site is always safe:

1-We've turned on 2FA for all users, if you want to disable it you can always do so using your Profile
2-We have a hack wallet worth 741 BTC in the event we get hacked
3-We added a new feature to email you any IP address, if it is the first time logging into your account with that IP address

As a final reminder, never use the same password on any other websites, and make sure 2FA is also turned on for your email/bank accounts/etc. You should never store your coins on an exchange, so let us know if you need any help securing your coins in your own local wallets!

Until next time...happy mining,
-The Eobot Team
So, it looks they are trying to protect themselves from hacks.
