I am looking for opportunities to scalp/trade when there is indecision in the market…for example before powell speech bitcoin was ranging so I made some good profits trading within the range...are there any other opportunities when there is indecision in the market apart from hours before Powell speech?

Well personally I won't advice you to depend too much on news
Because sometimes the movement of the market when a news is ongoing is not usually what we expect
Well since have decided to scalp
You shouldn't focus entirely on news also pay close attention to indicators and appropriate analysis of the market

You don’t trade depending on the current news and events, but you trade because you know how to trade with such an unpredictable market and you know how to play the market right. Although news and current updates are quite significant when trading, but at some point, we need to trade regardless of them.

Trading is all about experience and expertise, adopting trading strategies and skills, and making reliable market predictions and analysis, and we can still achieve them even though we don’t put too much emphasis on the world news and events that are happening from time to time.

Most traders that fall in this categories are losing while swing traders and holders are very patient and make more money from trading. They are also not time consuming like scalping and day trading. If you are using fundamental analysis to trade just as you explained and not trading often, you are not really scalping in my opinion because you do not trade frequently.

Actually there's a lot of source around the internet for scalping especially if you follow some of the influencer that has a big followers ,wherein always updated and keep sharing information about the upcoming hype in the market. But i advice not to rely on that and always make your own technical analysis because tbh that's not an easy way to make profits and the risk is higher compare to other ways on trading. so you better know when to start and exit by using your own analysis.

I would consider out that scalping would really be the hardest type of trading on which basing up on experience. You would really be that needing up to deal with volatility on which this is something that would really be the toughest thing i should say when it comes into this aspect. Dealing up with market volatility in a short period of time is the toughest challenge that you would really be making on the time that you would gonna deal with the price on active manner or simply with the volatility. You would really be that needing to face up those ups and downs on an active manner on which we know that other things like using up fundamentals

I do agree with this because i have tested out on doing scalping and if there are some sudden news that exist in the market then it do really make
out some reaction most of the time. This is why you should really be that attentive or active whenever these things do exist, but just like the rest been saying
that there are moments or times that there were no news but the market is really that making up some sudden u-turn when it comes to price movements
on which it will be causing up some bad or losing trades.

The majority react to news in a way news should work and be used for market manipulation. Very few people who belong to the minority in the market, reacts wisely because they are intelligent and experienced so that they know how all markets work and how news is used for manipulating a market. They are either professional investors or traders, who are preparing their capital and waiting very patiently for such news, to step in and do their investment purchases or open their trade positions. Usually they are very inactive in the market, but they cleverly choose a right time to be active with investment or trading activities.

To understand it, I suggest reading Bitcoin obituaries and see "Bitcoin is death" chart that says "Bitcoin has died 415 times". Surprisingly, Bitcoin price grows exponentially since 2009 and after died 415 times.

Prices move with news but its degree may vary and the impact a specific news has will vary. In stocks the balance happens very quickly but in the crypto spaces its much more pronounced. Hence the news of stock markets going up is rare even though it might actually go up, while bitcoin's going up is a big news.

I doubt currencies other than bitcoin have been able to gain enough traction over all these years. Most of them run the news for a couple of years before dying out.

Of course there is, Bitcoin is subject to news influence, starting with news about selling Bitcoin (like it was recently when Germany sold all its Bitcoins) and ending with geopolitical instability, like the conflict in the Middle East. But my opinion is that using news for scalping is not the best idea, because even during Powell's speeches, which you mentioned, there are strong price movements up and down, so it can be a game of luck in which you can both make and lose.

So try to learn every option you will have more chance of winning and you can earn a lot. On the other hand it’s not a good way to depend only on news. We have to learn fundamental, technical and also price action. Those help us to nake a good entry and exit.

Trading with news is actually cool because of lately we have been seeing some news surfacing around the space and it's literally affecting the price of bitcoin, such as the Israel and Iran war, the US election and so many that is for bitcoin, but for other coin such as altcoin or shitcoin which they rely on bitcoin price movement to grow and also depends on the team involved the coin as they can manipulate the prices without any global news affecting the space, that is why investment on those coin should be reduced and give priority to established coin like bitcoin.

Doesn't really feel like this would be smart to only focus on the news. First of all there aren't enough news to make moves everyday, so you need to learn TA to make trades normally, and secondly we are talking about situations which would be out of nowhere. Like the whole Israel vs Iran thing was expected of course but we didn't know the day, and the moment it happened the market moved, how could you react to it before anyone else.

So all in all, I highly suggest just going with TA along with news. I am not saying don't look at the news, of course look at them and of course make moves based on them, I am just saying we should be more careful about these without realizing what we are doing and how  we can approach them using both together. This means if you combine TA and these major news together then you could make more money and you are going to benefit from this without much trouble, will get some good results and will not be getting anything bad.

This is one discussion I had during the weekend with a friend, about trading signals, from trade influencers . Which I was of the opinion that some of the influencers trading signals ain't that wrong but the problem that exists is that of the buyer actually entering the trade position at the exact timer and exiting accordingly. Because since the analysis isn't yours originally to knowing exactly what you're doing, you may jump in or out too early or too late to a loss  as the case may be and think that the signal was a BS.

Trading with the news is an effective way to make money from the market will massive consciousness. The news is an expect of foundmental analysis where we need to take a long and what's going on in the world which van affects the whales trading decisions whether to reduce their portfolio or to buy more from the market. The news is very effective in trading accordingly to the market trend but consciousness need to be measured because this does not happen everytime. Trading Bitcoin can be very profitable but it is good one knows how to trade very well and understand the market.

I don’t think it is a waste of time. Yes, the risk involved here is high. But as we know, with high risks, high returns also come. For this reason, people choose to do future trading and scalping to make quick profits in a shorter period of time. You have to follow crypto news handles on Twitter OP to get the crypto and bitcoin news and have to trade accordingly.

That is true but the news is only having short term effect more than long term effect. News or without news, bitcoin is going higher in long term. If you hold and there are bad news, the price of bitcoin may fall but what you will still later notice is increase in the price of bitcoin in long term. News are better more for traders.
