We all know that the main purpose of any government is to rob the population. Of course, they will always come up with an excuse for this, such as in this case, to prevent addiction among the population, but we all know the real purpose.

Government is taking care of their country and they know gambling is bad, even I self as gamblers see. Many of young people in our country is also getting into a gambling since right now a promotion gambling is already being to obvious in public. Our country is also struggle in gambling as well, BTW by the gambling activity since is prohibited making the economy flow is being distributed.

Most of the money are getting out the country, a long time ago we gambler or want to gambling is always hide and now already reaching the peeks stage while people are not shame gambling in public (I see a couple time).

When you become 18 years old, you are an adult. Adult means that you are grown, mature and can make decisions on your own. I am an adult, earning a good salary and taking care of my family but I sometimes gamble to relax from this stressful life and have some fun, which I get from gambling sessions. Why should any government prohibit me from this activity?
Yeah, I understand that you talk about how many young people become victim of gambling. Banning of casinos is not the solution, giving them a proper education is the real solution. Those young guys who get addicted to gambling are not smart people anyways because they don't understand that casino games are built with math and there is no way anyone can beat the house.

The problem is the mentality of young people. I'm myself young and grew up among gamblers and I know their mentality. Their life sucks, they want to make money by playing slots. I also say the news on Nigeria news blog. They have shut down 2,040 betting centers because of debt. They  also close down some of the football clubs like Corinthians and all because they are trying to regulate gambling. The Minister of finance in Brazil Fernando Haddad said it is a "gambling Pandemic" and as for me the way I noticed, such betting pandemic is always cause by the government because of their obnoxious policies and improper employment of the youths. So they have to dive into something that can give them daily bread to survive in the hard economy. Though according to him they only shut down those casinos or gambling sites that have been operating since 2018 without regulatory from the government.

And new policies to regulate the industry will kick starts from January to deal with fraud and also banning Minors to participate in gambling as it is 200 gambling sites have agreed to the new policies and they are to continue the operation. President Lula said the gambling sites are bringing debt to the low income Brazilians.

This would be true if the government of Brazil have banned gambling completely and once for all, but this doesn’t seem to be the case.
It seems casinos can restart their operations in Brazil if they pay ~$5m as a license fee.

I read an aticle talking about this few days ago but, if I remeber correctly, it said banning casinos which do not get the authorization to operate will start only on the beginning of the new year (2025). Don’t know why they decided to start it earlier!

I think it is wiser to tax casinos instead of banning them altogether. Why don't the Brazilian Gov force those casinos to open an office in Brazil to they could pay taxes? This is another point of modern socialism, to distribute subsidies everywhere in a way that creates a population dependent on the subsidies of the politician and not one that, based on work and effort, progresses, because it is independent of the politician, and instead of subsidies what it wants is low taxes.

That in the end the subsidies are badly distributed and end up being spent on drugs, gambling or alcohol is nothing new.

I do not think so for now until October 18th. Corinthians is having match with Athletico Paranaense on October 18th which is five days from now. Worth saying the once good club in Brazilian Seria A may relegate in this season.

There is no ban on Corinthians .  Everything is fine with it as far as i know and I see no news related to that.

People are abusing social benefits everywhere. There are tons of guys around me that are on social, sleep on a coach at home and do nothing while I work hard and pay 40% of my salary to the government and these people, who do nothing. Social security programs should be reformed everywhere and should really focus on those who really struggle, not on those who are lazy and corrupts.

I think that casinos in your country should be blocked for those who are on social benefits. It's ridiculous to be on social benefit and gamble, this basically means that you are a failure, instead of using social benefit to step up economically, get a profession, find a job, etc, they gamble and have fun.

This will only change when the president changes, because unfortunately we have a corrupt president who only thinks about increasing public spending and paying it off to the population in the form of excessive taxes that we all know are being thrown down the drain.

Not that Brazilian government banned gambling sites from operating in their country, they ban Bc.Game. So, gambling is still legit and not banned in Brazil.

They ban those casinos that didn't comply with the government policy and those who agreed to obey the rules and the regulation of the government will continue operating in the country ant at means they didn't ban gambling in the country.
Though over 2000 gambling websites were shutdown in Brazil but if anyone agreed to comply then they can revoked the license and start operation again.
