Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua – Fight Preview

The highly anticipated heavyweight clash between Jake Paul (YouTuber-turned-boxer, 12–1 pro record) and Anthony Joshua(former two-time unified heavyweight champion, 28–4 with 25 KOs) is set for December 19, 2025 at the Kaseya Center in Miami.

The fight will stream live exclusively on Netflix. Dubbed "Judgment Day", this matchup pits Paul’s entertainment-driven rise against Joshua’s elite experience, size, and devastating power.

Fight Breakdown

Anthony Joshua enters as a massive favorite, holding clear advantages in:

  • Size and reach
  • Professional experience
  • Knockout power

Most experts are predicting an early stoppage for the British star. However, Jake Paul is looking to shock the boxing world and pull off what would be one of the biggest upsets in boxing history.

Betting Odds (Bitcoin-Betting)

  • Jake Paul to win: 8.370
  • Anthony Joshua to win: 1.093
  • Over 2.5 rounds: 1.6389
  • Under 2.5 rounds: 2.239

Personally I think it'd be a dent on Anthony Joshua's career if Jake Paul survives until the 3rd round, with the fact that he dropped Ngannou in the first round. I honestly don't see Jake landing more than 10 clean punches here before he gets knocked out. Am I been unrealistic here? Certainly not.

Big fight on paper, but it feels pretty clear how this plays out. Joshua has the size, power, and real heavyweight experience. Jake Paul’s confidence is high, but this is a huge step up. I’m taking Anthony Joshua to win, and Under 2.5 rounds looks solid if AJ comes out aggressive.

That’s a wild matchup—definitely one built for headlines. Jake Paul’s made impressive strides, but stepping in with someone like Anthony Joshua, who has elite power and experience at the top level, is a massive leap.

Unless it’s heavily scripted for entertainment, I’d put my Bitcoin on *Joshua* winning—likely by KO. Paul's tough, but AJ’s size, ring IQ, and power are on another level.

That said, if the odds swing crazy due to hype, there could be smart Bitcoin plays on props like “fight not going the distance” or “Joshua by KO within 5 rounds.” Judgment Day might be short and brutal.

I just read somewhere that the Aj vs Jake Paul fight might just be like the Tyson's bout. Since there's nothing really important AJ is fighting for. In other news, Terence Crawford has announced his retirement. That sounded as a shock to me because I thought after he was stripped of his belts for refusing to pay his fines, he'd get back in the ring. That announcement was too early.

Fun matchup for the hype, but realistically this looks like Joshua’s fight all the way. Jake Paul has improved, no doubt, but AJ’s size, power, and experience are just too much. I’m leaning Joshua to win by KO, likely ending it early.

I agree that Joshua should make quick work of Paul unless Paul doesn't want to engage and runs the whole fight. It wouldn't surprise me if Crawford came out of retirement for an easy paycheck against an influencer or MMA fighter.

Totally agree, unless Paul avoids the action and turns it into a track meet, Joshua should handle him quickly. And yeah, seeing someone like Crawford take a big-money fight against an influencer or MMA name wouldn’t be shocking at all in this era.

Honestly, these matchups are making Bitcoin betting more interesting, especially for live odds. Could be smart to stack sats on early KOs or hedge with decision props if guys start dancing around.

What’s coming up next (ET)

Tonight (Dec. 23): UNLV vs Ohio — Frisco Bowl (9:00 PM, ESPN) — a classic “motivation vs brand” spot where tempo + QB play usually decides it.
Dec. 24: Cal vs Hawai‘i (8:00 PM, ESPN) — island trip, weird prep week, and turnovers tend to swing it.

Dec. 27 (loaded slate)

Clemson vs Penn State — Pinstripe Bowl (12:00 PM, ABC)
BYU vs Georgia Tech — Pop-Tarts Bowl (3:30 PM, ABC)
Missouri vs Virginia — Gator Bowl (7:30 PM, ABC)
LSU vs Houston — Texas Bowl (9:15 PM, ESPN)

The real headline: CFP quarterfinals (New Year’s week)

Dec. 31: Ohio State vs Miami (Fla.) (7:30 PM, ESPN — Cotton Bowl / AT&T Stadium)
Jan. 1:

Texas Tech vs Oregon (12:00 PM, ESPN — Orange Bowl)
Indiana vs Alabama (4:00 PM, ESPN — Rose Bowl) Georgia vs Ole Miss (8:00 PM, ESPN — Sugar Bowl)

Handicapping tip: Don’t overrate “season stats.” The biggest edges are usually QB availability, who’s opting out, and which team treats the game like a reward vs a tryout.

Bills vs Eagles is must-watch football this week. Two legit Super Bowl contenders, star power everywhere, and a real measuring-stick game for both sides.

I like the Eagles pick too their physicality in the trenches, balanced offense, and ability to control tempo gives them the edge in a heavyweight matchup. If they dictate the game early, Philly makes a strong statement. 🦅🔥
