It seems this could be a very big deal to those people who really conservative with the use of their personal information, we know people don't like it because they want to become private but this level 2 requires an ID now for verification. If you are an active gambler and their platform is one of your options I guess you will comply but if not there's a lot of casino out there to play with.

Yeah, I did my KYC about a month ago or two. I did receive a good bonus amount though after doing it which I think is a good idea by Stake.com to push their gamblers and comply with KYC requirements. Not all gambling platforms could give such a good offer because others will just force their gamblers to comply or else their accounts will be frozen.
I am not against KYC because both parties will benefit from it although I know some are against it to keep their privacy. Security-wise it's good for us and then the business will have no problem with the government on where their establishment is placed. Though we don't know why they suddenly decided to make it a compulsory for their players.. most users may not want to comply and in turn move to other non kyc compulsory casinos or those that might still let their users remain in the level 1 and keep playing... The same for me but I have decided ^regrettably  to leave Stake as I kinda don't like to disseminate my personal data over casinos databases which may be not breach-proof. Is this confirmed by Stake? I must admit I’m a little bit bummed out by this news but completely understand and support it. I’m not sure what I will do yet, but I won’t rush any decision, so I’m sure I’ll end up having to stop the gambling for a while. Regulation is a pain but is needed for more widespread adoption.

I just heard about it a few days ago and I actually did KYC from the beginning. So I didn't get any notification.
From what I've seen some people agree with the rules and some people disagree or even leave Stake. But sooner or later I think all the bigger crypto casinos will do the same.
Casinos that have big traffic and have a large number of active players will definitely be stricter to guard against crimes like money laundering etc.
So this new rule I think has a better purpose in the future. And I also heard that after doing the KYC, Stake gives rewards to active users.

Even I have done this level 2 verification before this official announcement. So I did not receive a message via email about the bonus offered because I have done it before. However, if referring to the article that states that verified users will receive an offer, I had time to contact via support but if I'm not mistaken only selected people received the offer. I think this messages only apply to those who hasn't done or pass through any form of verification from stake.com. like I know I have pass some verification it should be that I am in level 2, about to process level 3 but then this isn't an issues for now because I haven't won a huge amount that would propelled me having that to pass the level 3&4.
So, this mail are for those who just pass mail verification without even passing any other form of verification, and mind you stake.com is not a non kyc gambling site and stake wouldn't allow permits people to gamble without them passing at least level 1 kyc since their rules has changed.

Ziskinberg must be an old user. If it is a new user, he will not be able to see deposit address until he complete KYC. But I think Stake did not make KYC mandatory for old users is the reason some people are getting the notification now. Probably Stake has seen high numbers of new users getting verified and decided to make the old users get verified also. Also this could be as a result of regulation. Stake has been known very well in the world as being non-KYC gambling site, this could be bothering Stake in relation to regulations.

Unfortunate for those who enjoyed the no KYC lol. Granted this was already something that's always going to happen to casinos, especially big ones like stake. It was only a matter of time really. Definitely going to make Stake lose some users but I don't think it's going to matter that much with how big they are already. Unless a big competitor appears with KYC as optional again. Yes, I confirm I’m an old user. I created my account before the announcement. I’m not sure if I got an email since I don’t check my inbox regularly, but I did notice the “update verification” and “dismiss” options at the top right corner of my account. I think it’s because Stake is registered in the USA as stake.us, but the version we’re accessing isn’t their US site, it’s likely registered under a Curacao license, if I’m not mistaken. So, if these changes are due to regulatory pressure, it might turn into a global policy. Other casinos could start requiring KYC soon as well, which means the chances of enjoying no-KYC options with centralized casinos are getting really slim.

I think all extensions are asking. I do have an account in Stake, it was the first time I received the email asking for that level 2 KYC verification. I wouldn't be submitting my data to them unless it's unavoidable.

If anything, tighter regulations will have more to do with the government of the United States desire to tax people who is making money off Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general and it does not necessarily will have something to do with gambling. Also, depending whom you ask, we could expect to see less regulation and taxes on crypto gains, if there is something Trump has promised and delivered in the past it had been tax cuts, it is likely he will apply tax cuts for those who trade with Bitcoin and holders who desire to close their positions during this bull market. Still, taxes on gambling will continue to be in place, regardless who the president is, though.


I have gone through level 2 verification on Stake seamlessly, It is quite straight forward and they only take one day one or two days before getting back to you to let you know you are successfully verified.
