While DCA is a good strategy for those with a regular income, in my opinion it is not the only or best strategy for everyone. Because DCA may be suitable for some, while lump-sum or dip buying or some other strategy may be more suitable for others. Why follow only one strategy? DCA may be a good strategy for beginners, but not everyone's financial situation, risk tolerance and investment goals are the same. Therefore, it is not right to say or assume that the same strategy will be suitable for everyone.
I don't see any other strategy that comes close to DCA…. talking about an easy and consistent way of accumulating Bitcoin. It works for folks with different type of income (regular or irregular, beginner or not), because the amount can be adjusted to what the person can comfortably afford. Being rich or poor does not remove benefits of one having a consistent plan.
Another good thing about DCA is flexibility aspect. If person has extra fund at some point, he can choose to buy more during dips while still following his DCA plan. Some folks use lump sum for that, depending in the amount of extra fund that’s available. You don’t have to replace them with DCA or talk down on it because you’re ignorant and don’t want to make research. Relying on only lump sum and dip buying you mentioned is nothing but guess work. Nobody can predict all of that and that’s the advantage of DCA.
With DCA, you have no business trying to time the market; just let your regular buying do its work over time.
