Generally, poverty is what makes the majority of the people in the world. The rest are the middle class and few are the rich and wealthy individuals. Now, in order to get rich and create economic progress in their lives, poor people should stop thinking that they are poor and helpless but should shift into a rich mindset.

That’s the law of attraction. If you work smartly and continue to aim to get rich, fortune will come close to you and change your fate. But if you put limits into yourself and accept the reality that it would be impossible for you to get rich, then luck and fortune will avoid you at all cost. What you do want to become, you should learn to attract it and embrace it, and not that you will turn your back on it because of fear and rejection.

Ignorance is what keeps people caught up in poverty.
You need US$ 1000 to start something, over a year many of the people caught on poverty spend that on useless things.

For some, this can be true but for the other, not, because they also did almost everything but there must still be something that is pulling them to stay on their current positions. I guess this is also what they called as destiny or faith. Maybe some people are just destined to be like that, in order to maintain the balance of the universe. 1k dollars is a lot for some poorer countries, so we don't need to wait long in order to accumulate that amount but we can start quicker with amounts lower than it. Life must be tougher now, so yeah it might be true that a lot of former rich people are poor now.

For those who are already poor even before, their life might have only became harder than ever. There are still some who are blessed to change the status quo. The interesting thing about the rich is that even if they spend their money in useless things, they are still rich most of the times but it was the opposite thing that can happen to the poor and that is they can only become more poorer, if they don't spend wisely.

The social structure and failed governments cause poverty.

This might be true because a lot of people are telling this but I think that even if the government is perfect, there will still be the problem of some individuals and that causes for them to get left behind.

In my point of view, the things that make people rich are mindset, determination, focus consistencies, knowledge, environment, contacts, skills, funds, hardwork, opportunities and being clever and don't forget luck for the extra push.  I think all these things are essential to a smooth path in becoming a rich individual and missing one of these things will make it hard to achieve being wealthy.

I would agree with you @OP that one of the factor why a person is in poverty because their mind are fixated on something that won't give them profit or wealth.  Many individual are wasting their money on items that give them entertainment but won't give profit.  Laziness and lack of smart strategy is also one of the reason why people stay poor so it is not only the lack of opportunity and the environment but also the person's character that keep them in poverty.

Having stupid and poor parents is mostly the main reason because it closes so many doors to you. Because your parents were poor, you get low quality education since they can't afford to pay for quality education and then your fate is mostly sealed unless you create a miracle. Obviously there are so many people became rich even though their parents were poor but not everybody is that lucky or smart. Wealth is usually generational. If you were born poor, you'll probably die poor also. When I say "wealth", I don't necessarily mean just money. Knowing people in key positions, having a network, having knowledge in various topics is also wealth. A poor uneducated person might win the lottery only to become poor a year after because he doesn't know what to do with the money. There are many examples.

Quite an interesting topic, but let me start by saying that anything can make someone poor, which is not necessarily tied to being poor within the inside. And also, anything can make someone rich, which is not only tied to opportunities. Irrespective of any of these two(poverty and riches), one of the most terrible thing to ever happen to someone is when the person becomes poor all of a sudden due to different reasons.

Now, just as you've said, poverty starts from within, but we can't also overlook other external factors, because I believe that some people have what it takes to do mighty things, but that little drop of opportunity isn't there, while others have massive ideas, but that finance isn't there as well.

See, forget about the long English motivational talks. Alot of people that you see that are poor today didn't choose to leave that life, it's life that put them in that situation. Some parents don't have money probably they never had the money to go to school like some parents were able to and that's because some of them fell into the wrong side of the history, it could be war, racism and environmental differences, so they couldn't leave life of what educated folks had.

It was easy back then for people that went to school to secure a job but fact check me, how many parents and grandparents had the privilege. In fact, if you look dip into folks that are madly rich today and aren't a business people are either lucky to invest in something, perhaps stock or did some shady things to get reach. It's not like there is internet where it's easy to make millions on the internet, mostly wealth are from looting and corruption and the wealth are pass down to generations of today.

There is no way an individual can make money with this set back, only few makes riches that are not from poor background, it's not just about poverty mentality, where you comes from play a huge role in wealth creation.

I believe that there are people with a poor mentality and even if they have the economic capabilities to live like a rich person, they will end up being or living like a poor person.
But on the other hand there are people who are born poor, and the fact of living in a poor environment and being born in a poor family conditions them to continue being poor, they live conditioned by acquired habits and that when one grows up is more difficult to change. If you want to reach your goal, you have to do something. If you are not happy with the situation you are in, you have to make an effort to change it. Some things in life do not happen on their own and require effort. One of the biggest problems of a person is procrastination. Usually it's luck, not missing opportunities.
I know a lot of hard-working people and they're doing well financially, but they are not rich. The ones saw an opening and went for it.

For instance, they married someone rich, or they bought something that they saw value in, like a piece of land. I know a guy who married a girl and she owned a piece of land inherited from her grandparents. One day an industrial complex decided to buy all the land in the area and they offered her a lot of money for her land, which allowed them to build a new house and live happily for many years without having to worry about anything.

What make people rich?

1. Risk taking in terms of investment
2. Emotion control and doesnt really that get easily being dragged with some hype or fud
3. Setting up goals and trying out to achieve it no matter how hard challenges they would be able to encounter.
4. Versatility and adaptability on various conditions
5. Proper risks management
6. Getting some financial advisors if possible
7. Always be that wise on spending and focusing mostly on assets rather than with liabilities
8. Always taking up some risk when they do see money making opportunities

Anyone could really be able to get out with poverty. It is really just that it will really be depending on how well they will really be making out

There are many different causes of poverty, but the main one can often be over population - in some countries the amount of people is simply multiplying faster than the country can handle. Each country will have a natural equilibrium of people that it can support, which can raise over time provided there is the right infrastructure. Farming can go from subsistence to highly mechanized for example, freeing up people to do other forms of work. However there are certain things like natural resources that have their limits, the amount of fresh water available can impact food supply which affects the population and other things like oil/gas/minerals are often required to produce wealth and also support the economy.

To become rich and stay rich requires conscious effort, that is where it starts from. The consciousness to want to become rich. That consciousness will spur you into intentionality. You will become more intentional about your finances, about your choices and any other thing that can possibly ruin your goal.With the consciousness of rich, you will make investments, and never become too content with every financial milestone you reach, you will always want more.

Your environment can play a vital role in your success or failure. When I travel to some rural areas in my country, I am exposed to the sufferings and lack of opportunities that people who live there face. Some of them lack some of the basic amenities that would have made them succeed. Although there is no excuse for failure you should know that it is easier for a hardworking individual to succeed in the US than in Africa. You need to put in an extraordinary effort to become rich in most developing nations.

A disease that is difficult to cure because it is indeed laziness and does not want to fight harder to make money, even most people only hope for assistance in any form from the government so that they do not have to work hard. Poverty makes human life worse where they have difficulty meeting health, education and good social life, there is a higher crime rate also caused by poverty because people have difficulty getting money.

Human resources need to be developed as early as possible and they are trained to make money independently. I think this statement is too simplistic to describe why people still stay in poverty, although yes financial literation matters but just because you're proficient in finance suddenly you become rich, the money need to come from somewhere and usually money gained through hardwork, opportunity, and luck.

having the right mindset is great but you also need to add another factor, I think what most people lack and the reason they can't escape poverty is luck ,capital, and opportunity. only plenty get to have these thing and for most of people who are stuck in poverty, even if there's opportunity, they can't take advantage of it because they lacked capital.

Poverty is a destiny, but destiny can certainly be changed if we have strong efforts and strong determination.
With poverty that occurs in one country, for example in my own country, this is a problem that is indeed large in scale. There are many people or groups, families who experience a lack of resources so that they survive with what they have and sometimes live in an unhealthy or unhealthy environment.
Also with the laziness that we know everyone must have this kind of nature, but it is not a good thing to continue to maintain this kind of laziness. If the level of rich and poor is still measured by the amount of assets and money in society, then the poor will always be in society because in the lives of people who have a certain amount of assets with the amount of money is not always the same so that it will always create a difference between the rich and the poor. And the things you mentioned are actually the root of the problem that can cause bad conditions in society so that these things can only be eradicated by cooperation on the part of the community itself and encouragement, assistance and support from our respective leaders.

Because such things certainly cannot be solved in just one day and certain parties will also not be able to solve them alone if there is no support together in society. This means that these things are more in the public interest, so it is necessary to involve all parties in them so that they can be eradicated as much as possible in a matter of months or years.
