Being lazy will not produce anything, it will actually keep them in the brink of poverty, that's why the saying goes 'diligence is the source of wealth', keep working and doing something that produces economic value, being lazy is the beginning of poverty.

Those that are in poverty could have been dealing with several factors that results into their situation but with everyone into that situation doesn't mean that they cannot do anything against it. What they do is they only deal with it and stuck with that situation. They are already happy with that and think that they'll never get out of it so, it causes them no enthusiasm to do better with their lives. Laziness is what is pulling them down even deeper and that makes them to be satisfied with whatever life they already have. Whilst the rich people, they have the drive to do and to thrive better.

Laziness stems from lack of productivity, and people who find themselves in a state where they can't do anything to offer the public, end up feeling weak towards making changes in their life. And the longer they allow such habit to dwell in them the more financially broken they'll become.

They get used to it and so there is no movement with their lives because they think that's all what life is. They don't want to try other things and do some grit for themselves. With the things that they have been used to with their situation, they are not willing to try new things and change what they have been up to. So, it connects, from being lazy, lack of productivity, lack of source of income, into being poor.

However, most form of productivity, on the long run, always yield great rewards, but it demands hard work and consistency, which many individuals find stressful or difficult to handle.

This is 100% real. People that are productive with what they do always yield the rewards. It may not that be much at the beginning but having that is already a sign of doing a good job and having a good start.

I think in general a poor financial ‘education’ is a big contributor to poverty. People don’t understand what money is and see it as just a means to buy stuff. That’s besides a lack of self restraint imo.

Well, that could also be one of the factors why people end up in poverty. No matter how vast their money is today, if they aren't aware how to manage it properly, the money will not last and eventually gone in the process.

Moreover, it's in the person's mindset and personality if he wants to be rich. Why would they still not have money in their hands? Most people don't know the difference between their wants and their needs; you can't be spending money on things you literally don't need and leaving the things that are essential to your well-being and still be complaining of being poor; that's totally off. 
 
Some I will say is based on the mindset they grow up with, picturing what that little amount they have at hand can do for them and raising it to in the next couple of months, which makes them rather spend it on things that don't matter, hoping for that big fish that will fill up the ocean to come, which takes forever when they could have started growing something from small.

This is sad reality, I am married and my spouse spends way too much, not on things needed, but things wanted and that is causing a lot of big huge financial trouble for us, but they are just doing it to feel better. These days capitalism really won, they are really the thing that makes us all spend a lot of money on things we do not need and that is what keeps the economy going.

If we only spent money on what we need and nothing more, literally just spend money on bare needs, like food and so forth, then I believe I can spend 20% of what I am spending right now, things aren't looking that great and that's only because capitalism made us want to buy things we do not need, and keep working to pay our debts on things we never needed to begin with.

I agree with you that we have to take responsibility for our own lives and should not expect or depend on anyone. But I don't think you can escape poverty if you live in a country with a corrupt government that doesn't care about people's lives and even leads to economic collapse like Sri Lanka. Or you live in a war zone where there are terrorists all year round like the Middle East. The government plays a vital role in the poverty alleviation of a country and the lives of its people. People cannot save themselves if they live in areas like the ones I mentioned.

I don't know what people think about this, but I feel that what makes someone rich is because of their destiny and coincidence. Why do I say that because there are many people who work hard and many smart people out there, but not everyone is destined to be rich. A rich person can happen to be born into a rich family, or happen to have a network that helps him grow, and happen to get 1 million dollars from his successful project. I'm not saying that working hard or being smart is not the key to being rich, but sometimes if we look at this life sometimes there are things that are beyond our reason and that includes how someone is destined to be rich or not.
