I try to take it from my personal experience, when I experienced a big loss in gambling, losing money that I was not ready to lose. It really stressed me out, but the choice to gamble again was not a wise move. In that situation, what I did was stop visiting gambling places for a certain period of time, depending on how long I could control my emotions and myself. And to relieve the stress I experienced after losing big, visiting tourist attractions and enjoying the beauty of nature is what I did, because sometimes we also need to pamper our eyes to see something beautiful, not just staring at a computer screen that makes our eyes sore.

Be realistic enough with what you say that there will be no novice gambler who bothers to find a way to overcome a big loss because their psychology is already quite messed up with the loss. They will probably just reflect on their defeat, and they won't read long enough threads or articles.

I would say forget  the defeat rather then accept. Acceptance may corrode your inside and result in the loss of health. If someone can't forget it by himself he may address the therapist to ask the help. When I lost in gambling my first $4500 I forgot it in five minute but this is due to both  meditation and affirmation exercises taken  for more than 10 years ^{thus I never needed therapist to care about my mood after any loss} .
