I am from Indonesia and really happy and proud to hear the news last week, I hope there will be other schools that interested in this program by Bitcoin Indonesia. And I also hope that they not just teach about Bitcoin but also the blockchain technology in general, so there will be more people interested in Bitcoin as a technology rather than just only and investment asset. But for now this one is a very great movement.

Are you from Indonesia? Do you have any details about this? Because from the video, I saw those students looked like junior high school students and it seemed like this was just an extracurricular activity. And what benefit will introducing bitcoin through projectors and in such a short time bring them?Or will it just pique their curiosity and they will secretly search for bitcoins online and possibly fall into a scam? I really want to know what they taught in that extracurricular program, I don't expect them to teach those kids to invest in bitcoin.

Argentina has been one step forward in, unfortunately it's not Bitcoin but Ethereum, so I hope Indonesia could be the next or even the first to put formal Blockchain curriculum in high school.

Yes I am from Indonesia, and it's not even a routine extracurricular, it's just a one-time program requested by the school to a community called Bitcoin Indonesia, so they will make a one day event that talk about Bitcoin in a school that invite them. And as far as know, there hasn't been any school that has blockchain specifically for extracurricular, when I wrote 'And I also hope that they not just teach about Bitcoin but also the blockchain technology in general,' I mean in the future so currently I don't think there is any school that teaches blockchain or Bitcoin.

Because the foundation of Blockchain is definitely the decentralization, for me that's the main idea, where there is no single entity that control the whole data. And even though Ethereum could be the example of the very successful Blockchain project, it's definitely not a decentralized Blockchain.

I think in this you're wrong about the foundation in the Op arriving late about teaching bitcoin education to those kids. They could take a totally different path by strictly focusing on bitcoin education without involving any form of altcoins teaching to it's curriculum unlike the Akademi Crypto.

And spotting the difference between the two foundations; the one you talk about is crypto related in it's title which obviously mean they  aren't doing bitcoin only but in the Op's it's clearly stated as bitcoin focused.  If these kids can be taught about bitcoin knowledge at this stage then it's going to provide a big opportunity for bitcoin future  in that society when some of these kids do find themselves among policy makers in that society they'll tens to make considerable favourable policies that would drive bitcoin adoption having known so much about the goods of bitcoin at young age.

The more Bitcoin grows in price, worth and value, most parents and guardians would want their kids to learn about the technology. But, it only explains how everyone wants to introduce their children to Bitcoin because of the monetary shift it has done over the years. Bitcoin is particularly good for third world countries, due to the devaluation currencies from such countries present. You have said it all. Those conferences or seminar is are not really aim to teach the students the real content but to extract funds from the students. And there are different ways those instructors extract funds from those students and such as: Buying of  bitcoin materials and giving money to the instructors to invest for them. I have attended such cryptocurrency classes so I know how those guys do things. Their main aim of such programme is to make money.

Though the students will not pay attendance or entry fee but at the end they will spend good amount of money to learn more. There different strategies those guys used. Therefore as you said, it is a program of get rich quick for the instructors.

A foundation called Taruna Bakti in Bandung, Indonesia, has taken the initiative to educate 700 secondary school students in Indonesian secondary schools about Bitcoin.

My normal assumption when it comes to expecting referrals is that one person will bring two other persons, and those two other persons will bring at least two other person's each, and the reaction continues. If there are more foundations like these that are dedicated to educating people about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency, it will go a long way to contribute to their financial intelligence, making them aware on time about the concept of investments and how they can take advantage of the growing digital world and position themselves properly to benefit from it.

It's quite surprising how they allow to teach about Bitcoin considering most people think it's high risk investment, not to mention the risk of fall to gambling.

How would you rate the quality of education that these projects give to students? Is it valuable or is it only for the sake of promoting and marketing? What do they teach? I think that when it comes to teaching Bitcoin, they should explain what is Bitcoin, what is blockchain, how transactions work, what is UTXO, what is coinjoin, what is coin control, how to run your own Node, how to use Bitcoin Core and Electrum, how to generate an address, how to safely save private keys (What optionsdo we have in this case), how to mine, a little bit programming and so on.

It is important for students to learn about developments and adapt to new technologies including crypto or Bitcoin and also blockchain. They are the generation that will make the crypto world continue to grow and also continue to be popular, so that crypto especially Bitcoin can be accepted by many people whose numbers will continue to grow. A business needs to get promoted but if about BTC, that is still a good thing. Teaching has its basics and origin, so yeah that what you said there must be covered by them. They are first in the lesson and then as things progresses, the lesson is going to be more harder as well. They teach crypto, so it must be one of their requirements to shill it. Not only they can benefit with it but we as well when the adoptions gets wider.

I think the best thing educators can offer these students is teaching them how to use Bitcoin or find online opportunities to earn it. Talking about investing isn’t the right approach, IMO, because it involves risks that they might not fully understand yet. Instead, the focus should be on teaching them the basics, how Bitcoin works, its purpose, and practical ways to use it. Once they get a solid grasp of that, they might naturally explore investing or even talk to their families about it. Most students don’t have the means to invest yet anyway.

Well, actually I’ve been in the Bitcoin space for quite a while now, and no matter how much I explain it to my kids, they’re still not interested. I think it’s just an age thing... matured individuals tend to appreciate Bitcoin more than younger people.

When these new students learn about Bitcoin in school it can have big impact on how well they understand it and use it in future. First of the positive implications of this move is something we should hold on to. Bitcoin as good as it was meant to have been used for ill-mannered activities that don’t sit right with society. Giving this knowledge about Bitcoin and how to use and manage will help these young ones to assimilate the information as well as utilize it effectively and in the right way when the opportunity comes. These kids will be aware of better ways to get bitcoins, instead of being introduced to it by scammers whose first option of how to get bitcoins is to steal from another person. In this era, it is indeed time for any country to be able to expand education related to bitcoin, considering specifically bitcoin because it will provide awareness of the technology and nature of bitcoin. I agree with you. If you really want to educate about bitcoin, it must be systematic and must be included in the curriculum, not just seasonally because this is not effective. Education about bitcoin is not enough to be educated only by the public, but must involve the government because the government's reach is certainly wider in terms of education.

Because currently there are also many countries whose people are very ignorant of technology, do not understand the purpose of crypto, what is understood about crypto is only investment and will get profit in the future. If this foundation thinks of really impacting on the lives of these students, they must consider teaching them the very foundational knowledge of Bitcoin and how crypto technology works in simple terms. While the monetary value attached to bitcoin and its success stories over the years could be the hook to draw the attention of the students, they need the very basic knowledge of Bitcoin at their ages now before they can later be introduced to the real deal. That is, how they can earn some bucks while practicing the knowledge of Bitcoin and crypto.

It is common among these so-called crypto analysts or specialists to use Bitcoin as a tool for publicity. Popel will be told that they will be taught how to invest or use Bitcoin but at the end, a shitcoin will be introduced and people will be cajoled to invest in them. I once attended one of these Bitcoin conferences and we were told to buy an altcoin that would make us rich in four days. I immediately knew that it was a scam project.

People can be very tricky these days to attract people to their community, I mean where they tend to benefit from them, rather than sharing the main message where they form the group with them. If they are saying they want to educate students and pupils about bitcoin and end up telling them about altcoins, the purpose of the education should be changed. 
 
Since this other group tends to offer Bitcoin education to 700 students, we should give them the benefit of doubts until they divert their teaching to something else. Maybe we can put them in their place after then. School is a place with a lot of supervision. If they teach about Bitcoin and expand to what Altcoin is, then there won't be much of a problem.

You're right, because when check round you will see many scam projects people everywhere, so I believe that people s avoiding anything that has to do with tokens base on scam...you know that any scam projects do come with what will develop your interest to partner with them, I do advice people to make a proper research before they can be able to associate with anything that has to do with investment, because on the process of investigation is when you will know nice projects and a scam projects, so what that lured people to venture into scam projects or investment is lack of research from my perspective.
