New ATH for Bitcoin, so here is a new update and there are some small changes at the top of the rankings.

In this competition that doesn’t require real trades, year after year bitcoin outperforms the vast majority of altcoin portfolios. But when I set aside a serious amount and built a portfolio to short altcoins against bitcoin, every one of those alts nearly doubled against bitcoin in the very first month.

At the end of June I built a short portfolio of BONK, ENA, FLOKI, SEI, HBAR, ALGO, JUP, MORPHO – and closed July with a huge loss.
For August I picked a short portfolio of alts that barely moved against Bitcoin in July: TON, TRUMP, ICP, APE, ATOM, APT, AERO, RUNE, AXS, FIL – and I’m still sitting in a drawdown.

Yeah I know the drill. That's exactly how I used to be in 2021-2022 when I originally learnt about this stuff.
The reason I became bitcoin-only wasn't that I wasn't making money, but the exact opposite... I was losing money! I thought I wasn't gambling, but how do you call the action where you buy something that you don't understand, hoping it would go higher?

Just one question! How on earth did Woodie manageed to reach that high? Which coins did he pick, anyone knows Gotta admit, he is one lucky guy. My position is also going up little by little, currently on no 11, but nowhere near that level. If things continues this way, by the end of the year, Woodie will probably end up winning this contest..

Oh damn.  I've been more focused on crypto than I was during 2020 - 2021 bull market.  Maybe a little more focused than when it was 2017.  But it's funny...  Saros is a relatively unknown project when you compare it to the more popular ones like Jupiter, Pumpswap, Meteora and Raydium.  And JUP's price hasn't really been going anywhere since TGE.

This looks like survivor bias. That's a dangerous way to choose investments.

^  I mean sure but...  How so?  How do we really know it's survivorship bias unless you're just saying there's a high chance that it really is so.  Which I'll tend to agree with tbh because don't we all suffer from this. 

Which is why we're all mostly struggling to move up the investment ladder.

Saros is not even included in Dexscreener. 

The graph of this token is really impressive, and I sincerely hope Woodie got rich with it, so he doesn't comment on it in any way.

But it's funny...  Saros is a relatively unknown project when you compare it to the more popular ones like Jupiter, Pumpswap, Meteora and Raydium.  And JUP's price hasn't really been going anywhere since TGE. 

The current market clearly shows that the achievements of these projects have no effect on the value of their tokens. For example, Jupiter has changed a lot this year, the functionality for trading perps has noticeably improved, it is now possible to borrow JLP and a whole "Lend" section. Plus, they integrate new memcoin trading and have burned 3 billion jups.
The same goes for Raydium.

But this does not affect the value of the tokens in any way.

^  Yup but it could also mean that traders have gone somewhere else like Hyperliquid and Monad is gonna launch soon.  That's gonna be another thing to look out for.

Pumpfun's token is starting to look good tho.  I think they're gonna start dominating SOL eco in the coming months.  They have also started their buy backs using protocol revenue to kick start their flywheel.
