Why do you act so disrespectful to potential customers? If someone asks you a question, you should do your best to answer or at least acknowledge them in some way. You can even pm them and answer if nothing else.

can someone from BCPoker please confirm for certain... are players from the USA able to play on your poker platform? Every time I have as the chat bot on the webpage, they either don't answer or when they do, simply don't answer the question @BcPoker

I assume that the terms and conditions for poker are exactly the same as for the entire platform. This means that users from the US and any other jurisdictions prohibited by anjouan offshore financial authority cannot use their platform.
It's also worth noting that if you access their site from a prohibited jurisdiction, a pop-up window should appear.

But as bcpoker platform is hosting only poker.. I don't know, that's may depend.. if in the US authorisation/regulation for online poker is the same as for whole online gambling..

Excluding US from many online gambling institutions is not from the will of the gambling institutions but because of the US regulations that are much more strict and exigent !

I think we need to revive the bitcointalk special tournaments once again. bc.poker has everything, a reputed brand behind the project (bc.game), funds, and serious players who really want to play there. IMO we need some momentum going.

It started well but somehow that story died down... The BC poker representative hasn't appeared for almost a month, and Ico doesn't mention anything about it.

With good sponsorship, a great series could be created, and that might even attract more players. But it's all dreaming for now and we can only hope that BC will wake up and finally do something about this.

Just my two cents...

I play there daily and IMO things are running much better than they were, but I am only playing cash games. Don't have any input on tourneys. They have added 6 max tables that do not charge a fee per hand but instead have a mandatory straddle. I am not seeing much of the buggy stuff we complained of but that was all mostly in the tourneys.

Overall I like the software and the player pool seems to be around 40-60 players on average with games running 22-23 hours a day. I think whomever was creating the tourneys needed to do a better job, but that can be trial and error and learned.

Good to hear both things, less bugs on bc.poker and you are playing daily . Perhaps you should consider joining some poker games outside bc.poker too, let us know if that is a timing issue or anything else  I was really expecting your participation but don't know what's keeping you off.

I am pretty confident bc.poker has no lack of funds like some newly sprung-up platforms.

@klakri, bc.poker banning abusers/cheaters is a step in the right direction. I also think they should take one more step and pay the affected honest players.

Apart from this, BC.Poker also has all-in-or-fold freeroll tournaments with a maximum limit of 16 players. While the prize pool is low, there's a decent chance for you to win as these are very frequent. BC.Poker also limits your registration to once a day, which, in my opinion, is totally unnecessary as it increases the waiting time significantly.

The weekly showdown also has a buy-in of $5, so you do not need to play these 20-ticket freerolls to gain entry, which is a good thing. However, I suggest BC.Poker have a dedicated two-day bounty hunter (multiple-step tournament) where you cannot directly buy into the second day.

Judging by the counter, the number of users playing poker has become noticeably higher than it was last month. So, even such a small number of tournaments attracts users.
Anyway, I agree that the MTT series with bigger prize pools would attract more users. Honestly, it's not clear why they are so slow to add new tournaments to the MTT section.

The number of players is growing, that's noticeable. But they still charge a rake for each hand. It turns out that the site is taking advantage of the ignorance of all the new & young players... that's not very nice when you think about it a little deeper.

But that's the trick that made me play too. We have a bankroll for other games, so why not play poker, we will earn commissions back if we win... but that's not a very smart way of thinking.

In any case, they need more tournaments... and they need to improve some things definitely. But all that has nothing with sponsoring the Bitcointalk series...

Only the freeroll is limited to once a day and if they don't limit the number of times a person can play in them, they are going to be giving away $1000 a day to freerollers. What good does that do for them? Get's players playing but 0 deposits, bad marketing strategy. Players can join the buyin games of the AIOF tourneys as many times as they want.


Site needs more tourneys, but don't feel like they are in a rush.

Really! I don't think so. Stake.com is doing exactly this (guess what? Not $1000 but with $2000) and despite being mandatory KYC, you can see their poker platform doing much better. Daily freerolls are very essential to any poker platform, especially if you are new. It provides liquidity to low-stakes cash tables and tournaments to get things going.
No site limits entry to freerolls, especially when it's only $0.4 for the top place. True, some players will exploit this for a couple of bucks, but it will reduce the waiting time for new players who really want to test the site without depositing. I'm sure they have IP and other restrictions in place as well to minimize abuse.
I mean, I can see that they are trying to focus too much on how to prevent abusers, instead, they have to focus more on how to make their platform more rewarding and easy even if in the initial stages some abusers are exploiting it. I was reading some case histories of successful dice sites and IMO the biggest reason for their success was letting people abuse the free faucet initially just to create a larger pool and then slowly developing cool promotions and rewards to promote real depositors.

That was not the intention of my post.  You kind of replied to my post by making it a strawman. There is no doubt that you have to tackle cheaters if you want to make your platform credible. The issue was limiting entries to 1$ freeroll to 1 player a day, to which I was making my objections as a bad strategy for a new platform. These are not pre-scheduled freeroll tournaments either, instead, these are on-demand 16 max sit and go and because of that rule, you have to wait a long time in order to get seats filled.   
Every platform suffers from this dilemma whenever they run any beneficial (+ev for players) promotion and IMO focus must be dynamic especially in the initial stages when you want people to get accustomed to your platform. IMO they should run at least a $100 normal freeroll 4 times a day for a month if they really want to see an influx of serious players.

Whatever any of thinks is really irrelevant as it has been 2 weeks since the OP has even logged in. I don't know if they even read this thread while offline although I do still see improvements made to the site week to week. Maybe they have decided to move on from this forum? Maybe they're busy? Maybe many things, but they haven't listened a ton to suggestions in the past.

If I'm not mistaken, users need more than 100k XP to reach level 15, which is not much, especially if you place bets on sports. I don't know the exact reason, but it seems to me that in this way, they decided to weed out bots and those users who played only free satellites.
