Riley Meredith was the player who was awarded as player of the match because he took 2 wickets in this match . Ben McDermott played excellent inning for his team and he faced 31 balls in this match and Mitchell Owen was the top performer of this match because he made 36 runs in just 15 balls. Hobart Hurricanes cricket team  won the match by 12 runs and that match was interesting because both teams played well but I think hard hitters could not hit well in the end of match and that is the reason they lost this match and they played more balls and they should play less balls if they want to win this match.Lachlan Shaw played very slow at the end of match when team needed high required run rate and he didn't play for team and his team lost the match.

The later batsmen didn't capitalize much but they got a decent 173 on the board. Tim David made a qucik 25 although everyone had high hopes with him.

Today the knockout match between Sydney Thunder and Melbourne Stars is in progress.  The team winning this match will be out of the race to the BBL title.  Right now  Sydney Thunder are struggling to make runs and have only made 105 in 15 overs. The reason for this slow run rate is because they aren’t able to bat well and lost 6 wicket till now.

A lot of hopes was with David Warner who is also the captain for Sydney Thunder bit today he failed and this put pressure on the batsmen to follow. Oliver Davies is the only hope for them who is batting on 29. Can he make some quick 30 to 40 runs in the remaining overs ?

Today Big bash league match consists of 19 overs in which both the teams have to play well which will make it easy for them to win the target and match.  In this match Sydney Thunder and Melbourne Stars are facing each other in which the batsmen of Sydney Thunder have played very badly in 19 overs they should have won match as already 1 over is less which makes them target above 180  Should have made it but their batsmen scored only 135 which clearly indicates that this win will go in favor of Melbourne Star.  If their bowling continues to be strong then there is some hope, otherwise Sydney Thunder must already be hoping that they have lost the match.  I was thinking that we could see some great competition in this match but Sydney Thunder has played poorly and has reduced the enjoyment of the match.

The target of 135 runs is not very high, if Melbourne Stars are able to meet this small target today, then they have a chance to go to the final. Melbourne Stars This team will try hard but their batting performance is not that good at the moment and they have lost their four wickets in the opening. At the moment, Melbourne Stars need to score 68 runs from 47 balls but they will qualify for the final, collecting these runs is not that difficult if they can bat well. Sydney Thunder did not bat as well as they should have because they were facing Melbourne Stars team who are equally as good as Sydney Thunder. The target wasn't too big but somehow the Melbourne Stars batsmen were also facing trouble and had to do so much struggle as they were losing back to back wickets after every one or two overs. The match was so intense, nail-biting. Melbourne Stars lost all their wickets in this chase. Glenn Maxwell tried his best to make 28 runs. Marcus Stoinis made 15 and they could not take the team to the next knockout match.

Hobart Hurricanes secured their place in the finals after winning their match today, defeating Sydney Sixers by 12 runs. Hobart Hurricanes played well from the start and held onto their top spot in the points table till the last minute and entered the finals after winning their semi-final match. Hobart Hurricanes were given a target of 173 runs in today's match and they could not score much. Sydney Sixers had the highest potential to win but their opening batsmen did not bat well and they lost. Jack Edwards and Josh Philippe both scored zero runs which put the team under pressure and they lost the match. If the opening pair had played well, Sydney Sixers would not have lost by 12 runs in today's match, however they scored 161 runs and lost by a small margin, which is their failure.

At the beginning of this league, I was hoping for HH to do better in this league, but watching this match I feel a sense of victory and predictability.  This is their real hard work and success due to which they have reached the finals.  They have this last chance to win this next final match and make themselves right in this league.  Sydney Sixers had worked hard and played well but they could not succeed and lost this match by 12 runs which is a pity for them because they also worked hard and played well but bad luck and pressure.  Due to this they could not score 12 runs and will lose the match.  Congratulations to HH for this win and also for playing in the final and Sydney Sixers have to play well next time and succeed as they were also a good and strong team.

Thunder is playing amazing today and won the match. Melbourne Stars lost the match. Thunder is a strong team and knockout match they won.  Thunder played a good match their performance was impressive. Every showed their skill really well. Thunder they will continue to play better in the upcoming matches. They seem to be in great form and playing exceptionally well in match and next challenger game is challenge for them to reach final game. I was also disappointed Stars team and their players . Thunder won by 21 runs in DLS method. Thunder set a record total runs for 135  and won the match. Stars team chased a record total runs for 114 and lost the match. The knockout match between Stars  and Thunder was played at Sydney Showground Stadium. Namibia won the toss and selected field first. The best bowling performance in Thunder man team was by Nathan McAndrew and  bowled  4 overs and took 5 wickets conceded 16 runs. Congratulations to thunder for their upcoming matches.
