Do You Discuss Money With Friends?

At least in Italy, we don't like to talk about money with friends. People are just over estimating their earnings, try to appear "more wealthy" even between historical friends.

I have a friend of mine that is enterpreneur with his society.
Each time he speaks only about millions of contract signed... many people working for him etc...
Meanwhile pubblic information of the company show 10% of it (probably less). I know maybe it can be frustrating not realize what he has dreamed for years so I avoid to point out "the real numbers".
 
No I don't want to talk with friends about money. People are envious of success... they don't understand how to reach certain level and how much fatigue there is on it.

Why won't I discuss what I do with friends? I mean, I'm not a secret agent operative where it's illegal to talk about what I do. I don't have to talk about the details but I tell them about my work. They can ask questions about how it works and I'll explain it to them. The same thing when I ask about their work.
I don't have a lot of friends, so the few I have I try to b open with them about what I do. It doesn't mean I have to be too trusting and tell them how much I have in my account or address, or talk to them about how much my income is, but we talk about our work and how we make money. If the topics comes up, we talk about how we make money and if the opportunity arises I link up with them on doing business together.
They're my friends for a reason so if I can't discuss money with them then what's the point of the friendship?
I remember how a friend of mine gave me a gig because we were talking about our work. I believe it's cool to talk about your work with your friends. They may not understand the dynamics of the job, but it's good for them to have an idea of what you do.

The current your open-minded and business-minded friends are not in financial difficulty, hence they never ask for loans and focus to discuss about new opportunity. But, once their business went bankrupt and they're in debt, trust me, they will look for you, and they will force you to give them money.

The closer your relationship, the closer they will ask for help or threating you.

I never discuss about money in a public place, especially in the midst of strangers, you don't know who is listening, criminals can be among them that can plan to rob or harm me. But I can discuss money matters with matured minds with whom we can share ideas and experiences about different areas of finance, no man is an island so it's ok to get other people's perspectives on financial matters. I never discuss about money with people who's lifestyles don't show that they can manage money well, so it's not everybody that is worth my discussing about money with.

What I never do is discuss how much I earn with any other person except my wife, I don't also care to know what another person earns, I mind my own business about my income and expect other people to do the same. If some people knows your income they will be disturbing you for financial help and loans, they knows that you earn x amount and should have surplus to give them. Some can plot your downfall out of envy that you're better off financially than them, so it's good to leave others to be guessing what you earn instead of telling them

Depending on the person, with people I'm not too close to and are just casual friends, I may not want to bring up the subject of money. But with my childhood friends, we still talk and share almost everything with each other, including money. Maybe even jobs and income or a little deeper...and we've been okay with that for years.

I'm surprised to see many people say they don't want to talk about money with friends or family because they're afraid of being asked to borrow money or other problems. This makes me feel like they don't have any real relatives or close friends, and life of always doubting and thinking badly about others is really boring.

I talk about money with friends that often same level with me, and talk random talks with those amazing financially above. It's a rule to living secured and reducing possible hatred from friends and colleagues. You don't get to talk about how much money you make or making with someone that is struggling with life, you could be endangering yourself because they could get jealous that you're doing better than them despite how much efforts they've been putting into making life better. We should be very conscious of the calibre of discussion we get with people especially when it has to do with money always check their financial status before engaging.

Definitely refrain, people look down on you when they lose and you told them. Everyone from a distance is hoping you lose anyway, trying to beat the market. They'll just tell you it's foolish and your wasting your time. It's also confirmation bias for them that you don't need to share, it gives them a psychological upper hand when you do it again in the future. They'll only doubt your intelligence even more. You'll get into a cycle of having to prove your intelligence again.

Many of our friends are selfish and they always try to take out my money from our pocket because they know that we have money and they have nothing and that's why they try to borrow our money. I also faced that kind of situation because if we will talk about monet they will get the information of our money and assets but these assets could be dangerous for us because they will try  to steal or robber from us .But if your friends are businessman,you can do the different thing and you can talk about business and money because he can save you from any disaster in future.

Discussing business or money will depend on the individual and the environment. If I am around friends who are business minded and could give business advice or even introduce me to an opportunity, I would discuss business with them. But there are some friends who are good in politics or sports and are not business inclined, I wouldn't waste my time discussing business with them.

But I am not comfortable with telling people how much I make from my work or business except it is necessary. We might discuss potential investment areas or highly needed skills, but there will be restrictions because you don't trust people's confidential financial information.

I often see celebrities who are like this when they are being interviewed in public but I think it is because it is in public? And then maybe they are already earning too much but the public can understand it already, as they are a celebrity anyway.

For us normal individuals, I think it is only common to talk about our salaries with the people that we know. It is not huge anyway for us to hide it or maybe some are only shy about it, to the fact that it was only small? In terms of being necessary, I think it was mostly the lending company are the ones that can ask us about it and then we have no choice but to provide the info because we also badly need a money.

You are right, brother; I also have many opportunistic friends. It would be wrong to call them selfish, but they are no less selfish. They always want to save money in their pockets and feed people; they always try to take money out of our pockets.

They think that we always have huge amounts of money. Where do we think that if we tell the bank to take money, money will come from us? However, for your safety, you must stay away from them and be careful about the money charges. However, there are some good friends with whom, when discussing various things, planning well about what can be done in the future is good. At this time, we talk about money, how we will manage money, and how we will do it.

I do discuss the economy and general advice when it comes to cutting costs and saving, I also discuss a lot about the nature of money and similar topics, so while I have never been open with them about my small investment in this market, I am pretty sure they have their suspicions I have invested in this market, taking into account that they know very well I have always been very skeptical about fiat money and central banks.

Honestly, it must rely on my relationship with my friends since, despite their closeness to you, not everyone wants to see you successful. Opening up and sharing your side hustle with others may be quite hard. If you tell your friends about it, they may ask you to put them into it and start earning money, but they are unaware of how long it takes you to reach your goals. It might be a mistake to tell people how much you make since people can take advantage of knowing a lot about you and bring their problems to you.

However, I'm not sure why some people claim they don't hang out with friends who don't talk about money; I have a different set of friends, and we have time for everything, including talking about money and arguing over the best football team. But to tell friends of mine that I make so much money? No, it will be tough for me to share that because if you are the one making the most cash among them, they could expect you to pay their bills at any moment and even take a loan from you without repaying it because you already have more money than they do.

Well in my very small circle of friends, we have been with each other since high school so to some extent I think we have know each other, we discuss even crypto and the coin we can possibly invest in, we share ideas but we don't share our pass key for you can't trust anyone to that extent. So we discuss about our side hustle too, like betting investing in some online projects. So I think if you find comfort with your friends and you don't envy each other it safe to to discuss stuffs like this within each other. To me it better to carry your friends along with the hustle rather than giving each other money. It safe to discuss stuffs like this within friends especially friend who share same goal and ideas with you. Though every have different opinion to this because we all have different kinds of friends.

Most of my discussion with my friends are 80% money and the remaining 20% is for general issues. I don't have much friends, because there is a big difference between those we call friends and people we know. My friends are just 3, but I know many people. So if I discuss money with my 3 friends, I'm always very comfortable with it. I must say the truth, discussing money with them, has really helped me in life. It's always been what's pushing me to keep making more money. Talking about what business to invest on, where to expand existing business to. I'm always comfortable discussing money with my friends and I tell them what I need them to know as regarding my financial situation,and businesses I'm looking forward to investing in. Their advice has saved me several times from making bad investment decisions.

Well others can hide discussing about bitcoin from their friends due to security reasons,  but my own case is different, I discuss business and bitcoin to them but of course we must be conscious about how we interact bitcoin matters to.  As many May no be happy with your progress sometime. Instead of even discussing financial issues with friends it's better to look for other form of conversation to be on a safe side.

I don't think its a good idea to discuss about crypto and bitcoin investment's  with friends because at any point in time at the sight of your rapid progress jealousy and envy may kick in at any moment.So I think it's best to discuss on topics relating to sports and politics rather than your financial life.As for me I have few friends which we all grew up together as kids and I don't keep anything away from them because we have really helped ourselves in so many ways.When it comes to income and side hustles we are open to each other and if there is any way anyone can help the other we always put in effort.We trust ourselves and also share other possible means of income with one another in other to  achieve a greater goal and build a stronger bond.

Although crypto holding might be too personal honestly there’s nothing bad sharing an information about crypto related stuffs but, just know the kind of friends you play along with. For someone who hardly make friends will be comfortable sharing financial information, why call someone a friend when you’re not close to an extend even at some point people change. When my close friend is aware of the kind of work I engage it’s normal to discus about work, free activity during work, finance along side politics, sports etc. There’s nothing so personal and it’s advisable crypto holding is secure that’s why it’s hidden else I’m certain most people will disclose the information willingly.

There are many stories that may be experienced by everyone and all have different levels of success in achieving success.
Good friends must always strengthen and encourage each other or motivate each other to improve their skills and now we have a way to achieve the same success in crypto if all do something right based on their best abilities.
If you don't want to get into trouble in running an investment, then bitcoin is the solution because even though the market conditions are quite speculative, bitcoin always gets the best moment for the issue of price increases.
But the most important thing is that they have a calm attitude and have the ability to be patient in any condition and I also have several friends who are currently in the same investment.
