I am not going to mention any specific accounts, but I will say that where there is money involved there are always going to be cheaters hanging around. Look at the numerous amount of bounty cheaters, sig campaign cheaters breaking the rules, and the amount of scammers that have found this forum. It's a never ending cycle of greed, so it would not surprise me 1 bit to know that people created accounts just to cheat and participate in contests with cash prizes with their alts.
I agree with this. Where there is money to be made, there will be those that are greedy and within that cycle of greed many people will take many steps. As a side comment, I have stated this before in another thread but is relevant here about DT infiltration. When these farmed accounts get on to DT they are going to directly affect the forum and when possible action should be taken to stop that happening.
I am curious to see the names dropped here and what affect that might have on them in joining signature campaigns. I am currently letting Wonder Work participate in the EVO campaign, so if you have proof he IS a cheater, feel free to share.

You know that am new member here and joined here in May. I didn't know anything like that when I came to the forum and I still don't know anything like that. When I first explored the forum, I saw this thread Beginners And Help. There I posted how can progress as a newbie, many people helped me learn about the forum by sharing some important links. My journey generally started from there. Everyone may have seen how I chose the
forum username.
Later, I went to the meta board and saw that a competitive contest was going on. There I saw that many people were participating in the contest. But despite being new, I created a topic and posted it. There I was given permission that if I win the contest, I will be given the prize after 3 months. Later, I participated in that contest. I tried my creativity to participate in the contest. It was a happy moment, it was a very nice time to participate in such a contest.
I didn't know if anyone else had created an account in 2023. I had no idea that someone had created an account with the name of Pizza Day here. When I saw the name 2Pizza410000BTC, I thought he was managing a pizza contest. Later, I saw that he was not managing it, but someone else was.
I don't know who this user 2Pizza410000BTC is. Am new member and he has nothing to do with me. I participated in Pizza Day as a contest. Don't know who made an account on this day and participated in the contest.
Participating in this contest was not my main concern, so I created a topic and posted it asking if I could participate.
Am new to the forum, and I'm learning a lot from you. I want to continue this learning process. I'm moving forward with your guidance and hope to reach a good position one day. But I have no intention of doing anything fraudulent in this forum, and I will not do anything that will cause any problem to the forum's reputation.
Later, I found the local board and started to learn about the forum thoroughly by reading the posts of speakers from my country. I have spent a lot of time learning and knowing, and am still spending a lot of time learning and knowing. I was surprised at first that everyone can share their opinions in this forum in a beautiful way and learn. Love has been created for the forum, and everyone's opinions are available here. Everyone is very friendly, and it is such a helpful forum, sometimes I'm surprised that I have learned or am learning from here, I have never found or seen anything like this anywhere else.
Finally, I will not cheat in the forum, I will be there as a
fair person. Cheating cannot last long, so I did not come here to cheat. I will be as fair as possible and encourage others to be fair.

The part you missed to comment on was that you created your Wonder Work account on 20th May 2024 and submitted your entry for the Pizza Day contest on 21st May 2024. You also mentioned a few members in your second post as a newbie, that too seemed to be customary sucking up under the pretence of being a newbie.

Not only is the intent behind that account creation obvious, it's also crystal clear that its creator is either a complete moron for naming it thus or ignorant of the level of suspicion/paranoia that exists on the forum and oblivious to the fact that someone is going to take notice that an alt account is being deployed for financial gain....*sigh*. Just another day on bitcointalk.
It just shows the level of incompetence when a farmed account would use an overtly eye-catching name rather than try to stay under the radar.
And JG, the thought of visiting the pizza thread or any other one to scan for possible alt accounts or anything suspicious just makes my head feel fatigued. There was a time when I'd spend hours doing things like that, but man....I got burned out after a while. Maybe one of these days my zeal for scam and/or spam busting will return.
I feel the same as you and not only towards the Pizza Day thread scrolling through farmed accounts trying to pocket some cash and/or merits as they try to pull the wool over the eyes of others but also the WO thread too. It would great to have you back busting the accounts that deserve it, you know what they say about idle fingers/hands
Absolutely and I don't think forum can do anything about that except the use of trust system to justify them, but even as that they don't still care about that and they would definitely find away out to always continue cheating.
Now, what should be the modalities to tackle this issues? Well, to me tagging account wouldn't help, but rather I will suggest there should be a place to records profile that has cheated, when contest or new sig launched managers should be able to check through that list to justify if such person can be accepted or not. Though the trusting system already there but if that is not enough then other ways can be explored.
I noticed your account some time ago and concluded by taking a look at your early posts that you wanted to come across as a newbie when you most definitely were not. How many accounts do you have here?
They might have an alt account which I do not know but it is difficult to say which if any account is a newbie but know little information about/ aware of the forum is an old account's alt. Though usually it happens yet we should check any other related info if there is. And until there is any offense/misdeed/breaking terms/rule we have nothing to do. But when any account takes part in anything that is not good then all the accounts are bad. The two accounts you have mentioned, except they are from the same country/language.
Until an offence can be linked to any account it would be unwise to leave them a negative tag but it does not mean there is nothing to do. In their case, their own account history demonstrates they were not real newbies when they created their accounts and their accounts were created specifically to enter the Pizza Day contest. Even though nothing untoward has taken place (or can be proven to have taken place), it does not mean it cannot be discussed.
Now that lenders (including yourself) know there is more to these accounts than they disclosed, they can factor that information in before they accept any future loans for them.
2Pizza410000BTC creates his account on 30th May 2023 and enters the Pizza Day contest on 31st May 2023. Not exactly the behaviour of a newbie to the forum

6 days ago. I feel the same suspicion: what are the odds of a few users who all speak the same language to remind us of a few shady accounts in the past? But it's just that: suspicion. I ignored one of those accounts a while back already.
For clarity, I am not suspicious of every Bengali poster but when there are some similarities with any of the many farmed accounts that naim027 operated, then yes it becomes a problem. I already had some on my ignore list and will add others.
I got permission from the post I had posted before participating in the contest, so I participated. If I had not got permission, I would not have participated in that contest. I don't see anything confusing or suspicious here. I have tried to clear everything from my side.
So that is your defence? By you asking for permission to enter a competition you already knew you could enter does not demonstrate you were an innocent that stumbled upon the forum and stumbled upon the Pizza Day contest all by chance. It seems you decided to take a pre-emptive step because if you were ever asked about it you could point them back to your defence.

I have tried to clear the matter up on my end. Because I have nothing to hide inside. I have said everything fairly. I will speak because I have not made any mistake, I have no fear. I’m going to take on a devil’s advocate role here and say that there’s also a chance someone has been lurking on the forum for a while, and contests like pizza day finally motivate them to register.
