Newegg sent me a TX750 V3 instead of V2

a few months back, i just realized i did not receive a V2, i got a V3 (75-001309) made by HiPro/Chicony...

Why did Newegg not say anything and possibly sent me a inferior unit?

So anyways, i want to load it at 650-710w for mining, what are the odds that it will last, knowing there is pretty much no information whatsoever about this unit?

Yes, it is a TX750. But instead of being made by Seasonic, its been made by HiPro/Chicony.

For instance, the TX750 V1 is pretty poor, even tho it is under the same brand as the V2.

It's just like you'd bought some "Galaxy S", if in the 'middletime' the new version of product has been released it's sold as some TX750 v"new version got released". It's like obvious that any producent of any hardware or software will want to sell the best optimalized, fastest, not-burning  product. And want shops to sell them and get old products of the shop walls.

I'd say your about right, 80-90% the product of the v.2. Seasonic are excellent at PSUs in most cases and hard to beat. Checking Jonny guru might help a little but cant promise anything, he's usually on the ball with this kind of stuff ;-)

You bought a Corsair TX750.  They sent you a Corsair TX750. 

If you wanted a Seasonic, you should have bought a Seasonic.

NewEgg and the likes are just box shifters.  A container of Blah arrives from China, they put the contents in their warehouse, then in a box and send it out the door.  They don't care who built the PSU Corsair slap their sticker on.

No, newegg list each serie separately, they even have different price tags and different label. Its like saying its okay to send me a gtx 770 instead of a 780.

Either way, my question is still: will this run at 90-95% load for continuous mining?

I get it seem no one but me in the multiverse got this concern about this specific PSU but what about extrapolation from knowing its corsair made by Hipro/Chicony?

Have you tried contacting newegg?

Normally if you compain enough you will receive some sort of compensation.

But if the psu is under warranty I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Haha, well i was wondering what kind of weight complaining would carry since i been using it fine at 50% load for a while(7 months?) and i didnt keep any stuff that came with it like the box, information booklet, instruction etc... I really only recently realized it wasnt a V2.

Shipping it back would cost significant amount of money and downtime. If i had to do this, i'd have to buy a new PSU to use. This could become a good idea in the future, but right now i have no need for an additional PSU.
