Why not? I would used this strategy if someone has said that this is very effective. I mean we all know what are the chances of winning in lottery. And with that it's obvious it's base on luck so every strategy here could be working as long as believed it not. Of course, our main goal is to win the jackpot here, whether it's 6 out of 42 or 49 or 52. We will be happy if we win some on small prizes so that we can go back and play that winning again. Otherwise, re-purchase the same number all over again and just hope for a miracle that you will win the jackpot and be one of the luckiest person.

well if you decide to repurchase the same lottery ticket continuously till you to stand a chance of winning big, then it's fine by you. it may come or may not come since everything still remain assumption and looking for a strategy to help us win big. of coure the strategy may look like being unwise by losing to many fund before winning, but nobody ever thought that what if happens to hit a jackpot from such game? one thing i know is that if you haven't win big with your strategy, nobody is willing to follow suit. just like if you don't succeed, your advice would not matter to people.

I don't completely understand the context of re-purchasing lottery tickets that you mean, but what I do know is that, just as you have said that there are different types of lottery, there are lotteries where the player needs to hold as many tickets as possible, this is what increases his or her chances of winning, or being among the winners (for lottery where it's possible to have multiple winners).

While on the other hand, for lottery where one ticket is all that is needed to become a winners if you are lucky, then there is absolutely no need re-purchasing, or holding multiple tickets since doing that does not add or increase one's chances of emerging as the winner.

So, in conclusion, to hold just one ticket, or re-purchase/hold more than 1 ticket depends on the type of lottery the person is playing/participating on.

My grandfather calls them "alaga" pet numbers. He will just keep on betting on the same numbers over and over again in the 6/42 or 6/49 lottery. So the trick is not having a higher number which is not available in 6/42.

I've bought lottery tickets repeatedly, if you say it's a strategy, in my area the lottery opens four times a day, morning, afternoon, evening twice, but I saw and did that, but I didn't have any luck with that kind of strategy.

But the strategy that I have used is to buy lottery tickets in large numbers at random, I have done that kind of strategy several times and I have succeeded in doing it, I think lottery gambling is a matter of chance.

Honestly, I don't know much about strategy, because the lottery system uses tickets, it's not the same as other types of games..
